2 night stay”
We chose this hotel as it was close to a wedding we were attending on the first night of our stay. A bit rushed to start with as short on time but managed to shower and get out in time. The following morning, I noticed what can only be described as cigarette ash in the bath? I washed it away only for it to return. I informed reception and the maintenance guy arrived toot sweet and sorted out the problem while we went out to enjoy Bournemouth. The problem didn’t return. Although rushed on check in, we were informed that there would be a live band on the Saturday evening. What we’re not informed of, was that they would be playing until 1am which spoiled our sleep somewhat. My partner decided to complain to reception. Firstly to be told that the band ends at 12, then when it didn’t, she was told 12.30 and eventually 1am. Overall, although this might sound a negative review, it isn’t. The staff were excellent, the building lovely and the 1812 bar has fantastic cocktails.

Royal Exeter is a lovely hotel”
Our stay in the Royal Exeter was very pleasant. My girlfriend and I got there and found out that we didn't get a room with 2 beds as requested so they found us 2 rooms instead! The rooms were huge and clean. They warned us that they were above the bar which closed in the early hours of the morning but honestly there wasn't enough noise to keep me awake. The staff was great. We didn't stay to eat but I would go back anytime!

I had a short two night stay in Bournemouth in July could not fault hotel excellent location to beach town centre and buses. There was a hair drier iron and ironing board also tea and coffee making facilities, I would happily stay there again.

Convenient and comfortable stay”
Brilliant value for money, helpful and personable staff, nice heritage look and feel without being shabby. For a quick overnighter in Bournemouth would definitely stay again. Breakfast was excellent, too.

I also booked with agoda when I have finished my stay in October if there is a great deal in march for a Thursday to Sunday and the cost for this stay is one hundred and thirteen pounds for a single room I will be booking with agoda again so give me the lowest price and I will book with agoda again many thanks regards Simon ponting

Great location and service”
We stayed at this hotel on Saturday night. It is undergoing some external refurbishment but this doesn’t affect things inside. The lady behind reception was excellent recommending places to eat (as the hotel restaurant was closed) and was always cheerful and helpful each time we saw her. All other staff we came into contact with were pleasant and welcoming with a hello or good morning they saw you. The location is excellent right opposite the BIC. The room was a good size with large bathroom. Bed comfortable and the room quiet. Breakfast was very good with a wide choice. The only thing to consider is that the car park gets very full and we were probably the last ones to get in there but there are a number of public car parks nearby.

Fabulous hotel in great location ”
We have now stayed here a couple of times as it’s in an ideal location for the beach and the town. The free parking is a rare find in such a centrally located hotel. The staff are always really friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and quiet with a good view over the park. The half price happy hour cocktails are always appreciated! We would definitely choose to stay here again.

Lovely hotel but noisy!”
We had originally booked as a couple but ended up having to take our two young children with us. The hotel were great at swapping our room to a family room. However they warned us over the phone that the hotel was noisy with two bars underneath one of which had a live band which they said was stated on the website when we booked but I did not see it. Therefore we had very loud music coming from below our room which lasted tip after midnight so it was hard for us and the children to sleep. The room was also very hot and stuffy. This hotel is a great party hotel but not good for families.

Customer Very Satisfied ”
Good hotel, live music until 1am on Friday night . 20 seconds walk to BIC. We left a scarf in our room on checkout morning and as we were driving away from the car park the concierge had run out into the car park, in the rain, to flag us down hand us the scarf. Top notch!

Our go to hotel in Bournemouth ”
We always choose this hotel, right opposite the BIC and close to the sea. The food is always delicious. The bar at the weekend does get really busy and has live music which can affect some of the rooms but has never bothered us

Positional ”
Nice old building with plenty of character and creaky floorboards. Breakfast was good and plentiful. The clincher with this hotel is its excellent location, everything you need is just a short stroll away.

Well located”
Had an enjoyable stay, the Hotel is well located in walking distance to the Pier and shops. A band played on Saturday night until 12.30am making it difficult to sleep until then, otherwise very comfortable.

Old fashioned style with modern amenities”
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The breakfast was excellent. The room was spacious and pleasant although the floor boards creaked and we could hear people moving in the room above.

We felt the decor in room was in need of a facelift. The hotel in general was clean and in very good condition. Staff were very friendly. Although the noise from the bar could be heard in bedroom it didn't effect us. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful.

Found staff very helpful Parking good wi fi available free Room clean but tired Beds ok and loads of draw space Unfortunately shower not great and Lamp shade fell out of ceiling about five in the morning which could have been a disaster If I was under it on the hole I would stay again For a long weekend as it’s very close to the town and has parking
