Good hotel, convenient location”
The hotel was cheap thanks to Agoda. For the price I paid, it is a great deal. The hotel is far from new, ut everything works fine. The wifi is fast, the airco works well and there is a balcony. Everything the website said there would be was there. The location was perfect: close to the centre and the beach, gym nearby, restaurants, street food and shops litterly next door. There is also a hospital and mall in walking distance. And the bus from Khao Tao drops you in front. Book through Agoda because if you do it directly they charge much more and then my review might have been different.

It's good”
After my first day, I was ready to write a scathing review: the Wifi didn't work at all, and the staff member downstairs told me they wouldn't open the room safe for me because it didn't work. However, after contacting the people in charge of reservations, they sent someone who fixed the wifi, and they sent a man to open my safe so I could reset the code. Once I had those essentials, I was happy. The aircon was good, and the location was good.

Need to check-in at Hua Hin Loft hotel on Soi Alley 78, across Petkasem Road from the hotel. Convenient if walking from train station. Hotel entrance is a small glass and black frame door beside Lampraya Boat office. Room was big but noisy as balcony rooms face the main road. No lift. Our safe didn't work and a light was out. Maintenance responded quickly. Our hot water was only warm enough not to be cold. Had a fridge and hot water pot but not appropriate cups/glasses to drink hot beverages. The staff were kind and responsive which is a big plus. Wifi and air conditioner worked well.

The place is convenient to stay, very easy to walk from the train station and close by the beach BUT not that easy to find and need to across the road for check-in at another place. Also the room wasn’t clean enough, still can see and feel a lot of dust on the floor.

Could be better”
We chose this place because in the details, they say the hotel provides transportation to some places. They do not provide that. The room was big and nice. However, they did not really take care of the room; 2 light bulbs were missing, there was something from the last guest left in the freezer, bathroom was a bit moldy, bathroom sink wouldn't drain. Other than those, the room was pretty good specially compared to the price. A staff was fine. We had to check in in another hotel and the staff there was very confusing.

Disappointed with accommodation”
The room was in an annex building to the main hotel, which was across the main road and then down a side road of the main road (approximately 50 yards away). The annex building where the room is located is not secure to the public. It has a 'part-time' security guard. The rooms are very basic and the balcony to the room I had looked like it had not been cleaned for some time.. The room door did not lock properly and the safe in some of the rooms did not work. Overall, the Royal Express Hua Hin needs major refurbishment to be the same standard as the main hotel.

I face many problems, first, there is no name of the Hotel, as this hotel is not a big hotel so people don't know about this hotel. According to Google, we passed away that hotel many times but then also we unable to find. After a long time, we found this hotel and we got the room on the 4th floor as the hotel don't have the Lift so we have gone from stares every time. Second, the door key is not good our first room key stuck in door, then the staff come and tried many times but unable to open the door we waited for 1 hour outside the room after 1 hour they gave us another room and for the room you have to register and for registration you have to go to another hotel building which is 300-400 meter far away from this building .

One of my worst experience in 40+ years travelling... It is no where near the 2 STAR it claims,I cannot even call this a hostel as this is just a old building on the Phetkasem Rd with no staff there, except a old thai man spoke no English on the entrance but most of the times he was not there.. they provide no towel I have to buy one, and then no hot water about 11.30pm and I woke up in the mid of the night as the aircon was stopped caused by power stoppage.. anyway I left after my first night depite I booked 3 nights. I need to walk 5 mins and cross the busy main road to another hotel (Citin hotel ?)for checking in and report problems of the room. the staff there is unfriendly. I will not recommend anyone stay there !

Had bad experience for them , not having room like shown in pics , Light was not working , geyser not working and manager owner was very mean and selfish person. he wants us to charge for cleaning of sheets and towel that we used . 300 BAYT ...and also charged us for water that was supposed to be complimentary and also 100 Bayt for tea and coffee ...horrible !! Room keys didnt work properly..poor staff was under Stupid mean and exploited manager ..he showed that he had my passport copy so he will complain police for paying me extra...stupid guy .

Hotel is in poor condition. Shower barely worked. Hotel safe was broken. The door to my room was broken and had to wait 30 minutes for the repair guy to arrive. However he was quick and polite. I would not recommend

Great location”
The hotel is in a great location, it's a short walk from the railway station and also from the beach. As has been stated you check in across the road and the road can be a bit hairy to cross. I had a room at the front but the traffic noise didn't bother me and I got a good nights sleep. The room is large but a bit dated. On the whole I really liked this hotel and will stay here again when I come back to hua hin

Really nice clean cheap hotel lux for the price ”
Great stay here couple of nights for business trip. Staff were really polite , doorman always on hand for help with baggage and very friendly . The room was lovely with fresh towels and sheets and comfy bed . Housekeeper very nice and room cleaned as soon as you leave for the day. So good for the price in hua hin. Recommend !

I always stay at this hotel when I'm in Hua Hin since the location doesn't get any better - a few hundred meters to the beach and an equally short distnce to the city center with all its market, restaurants and nightlife.

This hotel has a nearly perfect location as it is situated a five minutes walk from Hua Hin beach. The rooms are larger than could be expected and most of them have a desent size balcony. Romms are clean and well organized and so is the staff running the place.

This hotel is located 5 minutes walk from the centre of Hua Hin and 5 minuttes from the beach. The rooms are big and clean and contain both refrigerator, tv and big comfortable beds. Staff are forthcoming and friendly and a security guard makes sure that no unwanted people gain access to the hotel.

Apart from minor issues with not working door lock card, I was satisfied with the stay at this hotel. Worth mentioning is are the spacious rooms, which are relatively clean. Since the room was facing the main road, the traffic sound was a bit a nuisance, but still tolerable. However, the location is quite central to the touristic highlights of Hua Hin city center. Overall, the hotel provides value for money.

This is a good option for those just travelling to Hua Hin for a few days of cheap fun. The rooms are very conveniently located close to the beach, shopping and the night market. You can rent a scooter nearby for Baht a day (although I think this is a Thai only price but you can negotiate). The rooms were clean enough but there is construction going on around the building so you might not be able to sleep late. Room was more than comfortable for the price.
