Have stayed here several times. Whilst it is not a flashy hotel, it’s second to none for location and comfort. Right in the centre of the city and where all the action is. Next door to the Night Bazaar and all night spots of the old city.

Very convenient location. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. Bathroom needs upgrade. Yes we paid budget price but the airconditioning unit was very very noisy.

Nice hotel, Great Location, Great Staff, Overpriced”
Staying here you get location, location, and the staff are truelly lovelly. We opted for the delux superior room which has a large room, large comfortable bed and we overlooked a nice view over the markets. The shower was either 100% boiling hot or 100% cold, we did ask for it to be looked at, but if it was, it never got better and hopefully this is a one off case. If you get the breakfast, be there at 7am, anytime after anything that has been cooked isnt replaced, the eggs are cooked and left cold and has a terrible lack of selection across the board. But if early youll find something nice to eat. Facilities in the hotel are limited, but with the chiang mai world at the door, its a nice hotel, if paying a reasonable price.

I think I would stay here again. I did like the location near the Night Bazaar and its an easy walk to the walled city. The Internet, as in many hotels, was a big frustration. It worked fine until it didn't. The water in the shower was not even luke-warm the first day, but they fixed that more or less. The breakfast was fine and I always found plenty to eat there. This is, like many hotels in its price range, a dated but functional hotel with a good location and very pleasant staff. Nothing really stands out from any other of the many hotels I've stayed in there over the years.

The hotel is located right next to the Hard Rock Cafe and McDonald’s. The road is where the night bazaar is and there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. As other reviews say, the hotel is slightly dated, but for the location and the value for money aspect it is perfect for a short stop over. The breakfast was fine, with coffee, tea and juices. Food was a mixture of Thai with a few western items. There is plenty of toast and fruit and one of the staff will prepare eggs how you want them cooked. In all good value for money in a great location for a short stay.

Great location, old hotel. The mattress was literally a joke, every time I sat on the edge to get into bed it felt like I would hit the floor, I laughed every time. The tv looks like it was original 1978 equipment. It’s and old hotel that shows her age but she’s in an excellent location. Kinda pricey for the amenities that you get. Probably wouldn’t stay here again. Great staff though, very friendly.

I highly recommend that you take the deluxe rooms over superior, I mistakenly booked the superior room and despite requesting large bed we were given 2 single beds and there's no room safe in superior room. I complained to reception and they wouldn't help me at all so I contacted Agoda and managed to get a room upgrade. Thank you Agoda. The hotel is reasonable for the price especially in November when it's very popular. 1 lift out of 3 was out of action the whole time when a lady complained reception response was we just work here we're not the owners. Price is what you pay and quality is what you get and for the price it's quite reasonable. Cleaners do a great job and the pool is nice

We stayed at the Royal Lanna when Thailand was recovering from Covid, so very few guests, and no buffet breakfast but I’ve no complaints.
