We are surprise the hotel are so beautiful when we arrived in the evening after the long and tired Halong bay cruise tour. The room are big and clean. Value for money.

Very comfortable ”
We can to Halong city not knowing what to expect. There really is not much to do here. Was happy we booked here because it was good to have a couple nights of down time in our busy holiday schedule. The rooms were great for that. Very comfortable.

Stay away from Halong City !!!”
The hotel is a part from Royal Hotel, that is a 5-star hotel, night club, casino and restaurants. So, it is quiet poshy. But it is not nice to been waken up by drilling outside the room at 7:15 hrs... And reception will not help you... And Halong City is a disaster : the tourism is based on Chinese groups and there is no space for normal Vietnamese quality. So : stay away from Halong City.

Hotel is good, but not close to beach”
Room is spacious, staffs are friendly, but the hotel is not close the the beach. There is no food ordering after the normal meal hour. The casino is small and not many people. It could not not the peak season. The airport pick up arrange by Agoda is so expensive. $200/trip from Hanoi airport to Halong Bay by 7 seater van. I got the local travel to arrange a 11 seater during my return trip from Halong Bay to Hanoi only cost me $75/trip. Brand new van!

this is definately the place to stay in halong bay for the person looking for a little bit of the "west" in vietnam. very luxurious, definately 4 star. it would be even better if the staff spoke a tad more english...

Good location, big rooms with view but old deco”
Rooms are spacious with balcony with sea view but old fashion deco. Breakfast was very basic. Hotel run by Chinese so it misses the Vietnam smile. Location is walking distance to the boat for Halong visit but a bit remote from alive evening life. If your point is just to make a stop over night before going to sail in Halong Bay, that's good enough. Must be a bit boring to stay too long.

Terrible experience ”
We had the worse night in a long time, couldn’t sleep until 4 am because of some techno music we thought was coming from a club but it turned out it was from the door on top of ours. In the morning music was still on, it ruined our tour that day because of lack of sleep. Staff was apologetic but we had to asked them few times before the music was lowered down (not even stopped). Not the hotel fault I guess but still one goes to hotel so can sleep, not for an unrequested all day long rave. Swimming pool area had no chairs, pool bar no attending staff, old furniture smell in the rooms and spa was closed. Night staff couldn’t speak english. Breakfast wasn’t as good as other reviews say, maybe it went down lately for some reason. Altogether just not worthy.

Right front of beach and Halong Park. Room is so so with poor equipped WC, old control panel (not working correctly), Electrical plug in don't work. Receptionist lacks of knowledge about visa and residence card

alright hotel”
So I got another room upgrade from the hotel but it really didnt matter. The hotel was half closed when I was there. There was no heat in the rooms, but I guess I should have expected that even in winter. With only a hand full of options at this price point I stayed at this location but I probably would not stay again. The saving grace about this hotel is the staff, they were great from start to finish!

Missing facilities”
We planned to relax for three days after cruise in Halong Bay. Unfortunately the whole outdoor pool and area around was out of order and closed down. In addition, there was no tennis court and no private beach, even though this was in the description. We therefor checked out after two days, and got our money back from Agoda. However, the indoor pool area and fitness center was great, so was the breakfast!

Worth your buck with a discount”
On entry everything looked very fancy and we were brought to our room by a trolley, we stayed in the M block, it’s a huge complex with a lot of staff. The pool was a nice addition to our stay. The rooms were very big with spring matresses, very wide, but a little bit hard. The breakfast room was very big aswel and we had a lot of options to choose from. The rooms themselves were not all too fancy, but we got it on a discount so it was worth the money.

This hotel is specifically catered for Chinese travellers, from hotel service, food, staffs to casinos. Many staffs can speak Mandarin. The staffs are helpful in helping us to get transfer back to Hanoi. It was a pleasant stay.

could not believe that our room with the view of the bay/ocean and right over the swimming pool. There are stores nearby, the night market within walking distance and you can go see the water puppet show right next door.

Disappointing”
Hotel villas very tired, torn bed and window furnishings, no hotel information provided within room, poor television reception, mould in shower cubicle Difficult to convey needs in English. Staff very attentive and friendly none the less. We had a great tour guide for Halong Bay which the hotel organised, tour guide was exceptional.

nice hotel, friendly staff but very quiet!!!”
we were there in december, it was hot in the day time but freezing cold at night in the room and the air conditioning did not work on warm so the staff got us a heater very quickly. we also had no hot water, but the staff sorted it very quickly!! huge,clean, rooms and very attentive staff,we would definately stay again :-)

Not for English speaking really :(”
We had our last 2 nights here, after 3 weeks of travelling with 2 children, so it was nice to stay somewhere clean and comfortable... Pool was great for kids apart from our daughter cutting her foot in baby pool as they were broken tiles :( which we were not impressed with, the staff were great though and hotel manger came to our room and doctor was called. Our only negative would be that hotel is obviously aimed at Chinese tourists, there were hardly any English speaking staff and signs were not in English. My husband went to casino and it was obviously only for Chinese upstairs as he got asked to go downstairs? Strange....

Good hotel but renovation works are required! ”
Very good breakfast, big swimming pool. Kind and helpful staff. However, the silicone sealant in the bathroom is partially moldy and a decorative pillow stinked so badly which shouldn't have happened in 4-5 star hotel.

Good Hotel for relaxing”
Upon arrival the reception informed no hot water for maintenance, however we got next day. The room key was faulty for which they call the technician to renew the lock. rooms were clean and big with Big TV, , swimming pool was clean and quite. Food was good in the restaurant. Staff was friendly and helpful. very good location if you are looking for a quite vacation.
