Great hotel but the staff really made the trip for usus”
Pros: the staff were honestly the best part of the trip. All were amazing and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Of we could stay longer, we would, just because they were so nice. Amazing value for money as well Cons: obviously sharing a toilet and shower with everyone on the same floor leaves it s but messy and the shower drains were a bit clogged

Very friendly staff and have bicycles for free, which I recommend to follow the rivers on the quieter roads all over Hue. 20 minutes to the Citadel by bike. 5 minutes to the fruit, veg & wet market.

Nice place to stay in Hue! ”
We really enjoyed our stay here! The ladies at reception really made us feel comfortable and had great recommendations for where to visit during our time in Hue. They were so great! Although it's not right next to the city center, the free bikes make getting around very easy. We also enjoyed being able to use the kitchen and hang out in the common area.

Offered a free bicycle, given tips about where to eat, given local map, arranged tour bus for next day tour of Da Nang and Hoi An and arranged Hoi An to Nha Trang journey ticket, I was going low on cash so he arranged card swap facility. Offers free tea, coffee and banana. Con: it is only 700 meter inside from main road.

Me and Jéssica we Love places where we can feel the vibe of the hosts and here at Rubis Hostel the two girls was simply amazing. We felt really welcomed, we spent some time speaking with them to know more about the vietnamit culture and we just loved the experience. I recomend 110% this place!😁🙌🏽

Friendliest place we've been to so far in Vietnam. The rooms are worth what you pay. It's a bit of a walk(20 minutes) but it's a nice walk to the city centre. You can easily take a bicycle for free to the city or rent a motorbike really cheap.

Best receptionist ever!!!”
Morning-shift receptionist is probably one of the most friendly we have had in our journey through South East Asia so far. Spoke perfect english & was just incredibly helpfull in every way. He tip us in restaurants by handing a paper city map & marking them (written by name & street). Local restaurants with local prices, best for backpackers such as us! Room with aircon,private bathroom & OK bed. Free bicycles, motorbickes for rent. Around 3.5km from citadel, but surely you can manage on bikes. Remember to ask for the Royal sweet soup place, probably one of the most less western (but interestly good) meals we've tried in Vietnam.

It's a bit outside of the City centre, but it's quiet and they have bicycles for free. The staff were very helpful, with good english and they give you a lot of informations, what you can do in and around Hue. Free water refill!!!

This place is very clean, rooms are spacious and both receptionist girls really made our visit remarkable. Lots of tips on what to see around Hue. You can borrow bikes for free which is great or rent a bike. They also arranged a motorbike rental to Da Nang, and helped us with everything we needed. Highly recommended!

Really nice hostel, location a bit away from the city centre but they rent motorbikes for a good price Wonderful staff, warm welcome, helpful organising our staying, solutions to all the problems possible: on the first day we rent a motorbike just for half day and we paid exactly half of the amount (it doesn't happen everytime). On the second day we wanted to go to Hoi An by motorbike, the problem were our backpacks, so they rent a nice motorbike for the long journey and our backpacks have been sent there. On top of it, they took out the gasoline left over from the motorbike we used the first day, and put it on the other Moto we had to drive to go to Hoi An Trust me ask to the staff where to go for lunch and dinner, they recommend a small restaurant few meters away from the hotel, and we got one of the best meal of our trip in Vietnam Bedroom and bathroom cleaned and tidy, spacious enough. The bed was really comfortable, during the night is quiet Breakfast very nice. Recommended!

Friendly staff & free bike rental. ”
Pros: - Rooms very clean with additional optional daily room clean. - Free bike rental. Took 4 bicycles out all day and did around 40km, all for nothing! They were in good repair with baskets & came with locks so you didn’t have to pay for parking (which should be 2,000 but is usually 5,000 for tourists per bike). - Laundry service - we used this and the clothes smelt lovely afterwards. All actual laundry returned clean and dry! Costs 30,000 per kg. Took about 24hrs. - The staff at Rubis hostel were very attentive upon arrival & helped us find good places to eat depending on what food we liked and also gave us a good paper map with street names and circled where the main tourist attractions were and also told us of & gave directions to the abandoned water park etc which we had wanted to go to but wasn’t a main attraction! Cons: - it was a bit far out from the main attractions down a street which can be dark at night. Didn’t feel unsafe at any point though as neighbours all friendly. - Had a bit of a panic when the bag I gave my laundry in wasn’t returned. After asking they searched for it and found it after 30mins. Unsure what happened but glad I have it back! - There is no lift. We stayed on the top floor (4th floor). But there was a nice terrace on this floor where we had our 20,000 Huda (beer) & our friend could have his cigarettes. - the room next to us started blaring out music at 7am and really loudly singing along to karaoke and no staff did anything :( I knocked on the door, they giggled and ignored me. My boyfriend hammered on the door and was luckily twice the height of the other guy so he turned the music off. There are signs in the hostel saying to be quiet but if this isn’t upheld no one seems to care. Not really the staff that did this but their help would have been appreciated. Works on the room below us then started at 9am. Which would have been ok if we hadn’t been woken early.
