comfy stay, delicious dinner, relaxing bath”

The proprietress was very friendly and helpful, about the foods, about the firefly viewing, a chat at dinner, and about the special bath towel. The dinner was delicious and many little dishes to try. The building a bit here and there feels old, like the walls with some small dents or peeling. That said, the room was nice (and big), with even a mini bamboo display and rock base. The bath was also good, and I liked the all-wooden bath. The ryokan is in the middle of shibu onsen so a few steps away were all the public baths to try.

            Very good”

The ryokan is in a really great location, right in the middle of all the onsen, and shops. Facilities are a bit dated and could definitely use a bit of a renovation. I had dinner and breakfast and both were very nice. The family that runs that place are kind as well, and picked me up and dropped me off at the station, dropped me off at the monkey park, and communicate in english quite well!

            Worth it!”

A little rundown but the room’s nice, big and clean. The location of this ryokan is pretty nice but I feel all the places in Shibu onsen is within walking distance so staying at any of the ryokans is actually fine. The owner’s family is friendly and can communicate in English. They picked me up from the station and to the station and even fetched me to the monkey park.

            Totally recommended”

Very nice stay! It's a quite big and very well located japanese house, food is delicious and staff is very friendly (they speak english too). There's onsen bath inside the house and there's 9 available private onsen outside (in same street!). Will repeat without a doubt!
