Second visit to Saigon Cantho hotel, i must say it's still my frist choice for business and leisure stay as well. Staff very helpful and friendly. Great location, a few steps to night market, Ninh Kieu Quay and local sightseeing. Room quite small but clean and cozy. Best part was they have an outdoor breakfast. Value for money. Would definitely stay here again!!

Outstanding value for Stay in Can Tho”
Stayed in Can Tho for a week and the Saigon Hotel was perfect for my stay. Buffet Breakfast was great, my room with a balcony was great, clean, comfortable and relaxing. Hotel staff spoke good English and were always friendly, helpful and happy. Every request was handled professionally from the moped rental to bus transportation to Saigon. The river is basically a 5 minute walk with great night life, especially if you have a partner with you. I will definitely stay here when I return in the future.

We came to the hotel from Saigon, Can Tho and Vinh Long, and allthough we had a nice stay these places, your hotel was the absolute best, it was situated very well, fine rooms, excellent restaurant, good food, very fine breakfast, clean room, and a super staff, they were so kind and helpfull to us, and it means a lot to us, that we could communikate with them in english. They were very clever.

Good Choice”
I've stayed at two Hotels in the Saigon chain. Given my experience at both of these I wish I'd paid that little bit extra and stayed at more. These hotels are in the process of being gradually upgraded and renewed. Some of the comments made about them, like a little tired and in need of a make-over written in guide books are possibly a little out of date. However if one combined all the good features of both hotels one would get a hotel that provided everything one would accept as natural in a five star international hotel circa 1980 plus good and free internet. If one conflated the not quite so good aspects one would get a just makes the four star category circa 2010. Overall the Saigon Catnho would rate as a good four star hotel with excellent staff. The breakfast finished a little abruptly and the buffet faded away for latecomers, but in its early stages it was vivid, varied and interesting. For latecomers it was flagging a bit, hence a couple of critical comments in other reviews. The rooms are well appointed and spacious. The A/C is efficient and unobtrusive. Another advantage is that it seems to be that little extra 60cm higher than the surrounding streets and so avoids the almost Venice like very high tide floods that climb up from the river. Top location, fabulous room, friendly staff”
Just perfect! After exploring the town per pedes it's great to come back to a cosy room where everything works! The massage was very good and professional as well as the diverse breakfast buffet. Would go back to the Saigon Can Tho again, no doubt.

Perfect hotel and very friendly staff. It was the second time i stayed at Saigon Cantho hotel for my business trip in Cantho for its great location, right in the city center and its service. The staff are wonderful and helpful. Even though i forgot to tell them laundry my shirt, they still helped me out at the last minute. I'll definitely stay at Saigon Cantho hotel again. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

Acceptable...”
The hotel like to remind us that it was the first 3 star hotel in Can Tho. There is no doubt about that, - and it was not yesterday. But long time ago. Today the hotel needs a face lift. It is still value for money, but so is many even cheaper hotels in Can Tho. The brekfast is okey, - but the staff does not seem to understand that if cold water is emty, - they should refill. Same with coffee. Guests have to ask. The selections of food for breakfast is ok... but not more than there have to be in a hotel having 3 stars and serving a buffet. A plus is the outdoor terace where to breakfast is served. From there you can enyou the breakfast looking on the life nwn on the street. Ask for not getting a room in the top floor for rooms. The next floor is the location of the hotel karaoke clud. I promise, vietnamese amateur singers is not what you like to listen too, trying to sleep. All in all, I still like to recomend the hotel, - mainly because of the location. Close to the river, in the middle of the city.

we loved this hotel. big rooms. good hot shower. balcony over street. easy walk to riverside.at night the river walk is full of families and children, wonderful.surrounded by shops. can tho has many tourist sights to explore.travel service organised our bus travel back to ho chi minh city.

That is not a problem as Saigon Can Tho Hotel offers acceptable quality lodging and nice staff. Please be aware that most rooms do not have windows. The ones with windows are a little noisy as they look out over the street.

on arrival we were upgraded to a newly refurbished suite. the staff were friendly and informative. the hotel location was within walking distance to the restaurants recommended in lonely planet book and the can tho river. overall a great stay. we would recommend this hotel.

good location, just a few minute walk to Nink Kieu park. Great staff performance. The restaurant provides good food in the evening with reasonable price. Wifi is quite good enough for skype call & hangout. Background music in room is excellent. the only drawback is it is a bit noisy from room since the holtel is just so close to the main road

Average 3 start hotel but worth a stay”
Very conveniently located where you can easily access the rest of the town and more importantly, 5 min walks to Mekong Delta for you to take your boat tour as well as the busier area of Can Tho. Rooms are adequately equipped with the necessary necessities. Rooms are spacious and have tables for you to place your stuff, but just that the air con is not ventilating very well.

Not bad for Can Tho!”
Can Tho is still a developing area. For the money we paid, the hotel was okay. Breakfast is alright. We did some laundry too, it was cheap but cloth were clean. Very close to restaurant and pier, perfect for tourists who spend only a couple of days there. The staff are fabulous! Very willing to help: help us book the shuttle to bus station back to HCMC, and recommended many good places for us to go. At night, there were hawkers a couple street away selling food.

Go for the deluxe rooms on the second floor”
I have read some comments very critical of this hotel. I canonly state what we found. On arrival a the the hotel by taxi from the airport we were met by a hotel porter and also a lady who we thought was part of the hotel staff. It turned out that she was employed by a travel agency based within the hotel. Our room wasnt quite ready so we were asked to sit and wait for about 10 mins. We were immediately given a hard sell on tours in the area, very expensive ones too.We declined them all simply as we didnt like the way this had been done. The deluxe room looked to have been recently refurbished and was ecellent with all the facilities you would expect for the price paid. Breakfast was included but was very Asian orientated. Cleanliness of the room was excellent but the outside passageways were very tired. The veranda where you eat breakfast needed a good clean, especially the floor which hadnt appeared to have been cleaned for a good period of time. Overall I was happy with this hotl and its location near the river front is a good selling point.

Old Charm but really needs an upgrade”
In fairness I had booked the Senior Superior which wasn't as nice as the VIP rooms (which did look a lot nicer and modern), but for such an iconic hotel in Can Tho, the rooms really do need an upgrade, the carpet, curtains and wardrobe are all getting old and just don't make for a comfortbale stay. Bed was of acceptable comfort. Breakfast was almost a joke with scant offerings in the buffet and not of good quality. The gym was also substandard, with equipment that resembled an elementary school playground. Why bother? Even the elevator buttons were weird, with a down button marked by an 'up' arrow. The layout of the hotel with it's internal balcony and marble like staircases could be enhanced with a fresh paint and other trimmings as well and would give the place a much nicer and classier feel. It's obvious management don't really care to outlay the funds for this or any other improvements. The hotel does advertise itself as a 3 star so one can't expect much better but there does need to be some improvements. I don't think it's good taste to name other hotels that I have stayed at but you can get a nicer room for cheaper in Can Tho if you look around.

Great hotel in central Can Tho. Staff are very friendly and helpful, breakfast is good, rooms are clean and spacious. Very good value for money and well worth it. Great food and markets are literally downstairs.

Okay hotel, nothing special, good location”
We stayed for 2 nights in this hotel. The location of the hotel is very good, in the center of Can Tho. The rooms are okay, nothing special. The employees at the reception speak, in comparison to lots of other Vietnamese, good English. I forgot one bag at my previous hotel and they helped me with sending the package to my next hotel. They also helped with another scam we experienced in Vietnam with one of the grouptours. We were a bit dissapointed when we had to pay for the local phonecalls they made in order to help us.
