great budgetstay”
first of all it is a very good hostel in central saigon. the location is really good. first you feel a little weird looking for the hostel because it is in a very small dirty alley, next to the street but when you go a few steps in, past the people eating at the streetfoodstand in front, you can find the hostel clearly. as a tourist you can walk from here to every main touristattraktion within 30 minutes. the staff of this hostel is also very friendly. I came in after midnight because my flight was delayed but it didnt matter. on ring at the bell and the door was open. during my stay they offered me every tour, transportation etc. that i needed. they can make everything happen. But i did have the feeling that they offer you the touristy and little more expensive trips. so if you ok with that you can book at the reception if not you might want to book your trips by yourself. the breakfast which is included in the cheap price is awesome. you get to choose from toast with egg or pancakes with different topings and some fresh made juice or coffe/tea the rooms are a little bit small for the number of people they put in. I was in a 6 bed dorm which was full. 6 people bring a lot of lugguage and it was barely enough space to walk through it. also the rooms have very limited numbers of sockets for recharging your mobile devices. with only 4 sockets in a 6 bedroom and those are all out of reach of the beds it is quite ennoying because you cannot really charge your phone over night etc. a few extension cords would do a great job here. but overall i have to say it is a great hostel for a great price right in the touristic area. I definately recommend it.

Very good place to stay”
We had a good time staying at this hostel. The location is great, still in the centre, but a bit away from the overwhelming streets full of hotels and laundry service. It took us about 5 minutes walking to the park (where McDonal’s is). There are so many options for food in the area. We had a room, it’s clean, with good aircon, and a nice bed. The toilet is clean, but I hope they’ll fix the shower and perhaps put a bar of soap in it. It won’t cost much and it’s useful since you don’t normally carry soap whilst travelling. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. This place is definitely one of my top choices when I visit Saigon again.

Clean, nice staff, good breakfast”
Staff is very nice, if you'll be like you can see here very cute puppy, probably the owner's?? I liked breakfast, classic but big enough, with fruit...Organize tours, I booked Cu chi tunnels...when I went to Mekong delta, they let me leave my luggage at the reception over night for free :) Very nice hostel

saigon central hostel”
For the low price, you get hot water to shower at any time of the day, unlimited strong wifi in the rooms, freshly made breakfast (bun + eggs/jam, fruit, water, coffee/tea) and cold air con (they only request to turn it off when them room is empty) The owners are very nice & welcoming, didn't hesitate to prepare our breakfast when we woke up late (about 10am), helped to buy good vietnamese coffee from their local market (paid 1/3 of the price compared to a touristy place) and woke up to open the doors for us when we got back late at 130am.

Friendly and Clean but Poor Location”
Despite having paid and confirmed our reservation at Saigon Central, when we arrived at the hostel, my friend and I were moved to another hostel in the next street without being given a reason. This meant we had to go back and forth between the two hostels for breakfast and any time we had questions or wanted to book tours. The staff at Saigon Central were friendly, remembering our names, but misquoted tour price resulting in us paying extra during the actual tour. Hostel was clean and had working WiFi but is in a very sketchy area (especially at night) and is considerably far away from the sights, restaurants and nightlife.

Good value for money”
Good cheap place to stay if you’re passing through Saigon. Really central spot but what makes it great is the hosts are incredibly nice.

Great hostel”
This hostel is great value for money. I stayed in a 6 bed dorm that was spacious and had its own bathroom ensuite. The bathroom was large enough for the shower to not wet the whole room. Only thing was the door would squeak every time you opened it and there were no hooks to hang your clothes on and towel. The free breakfast is nice and filling and the receptionist took the time to remember my name and give me information on what to do :)

Cute little hostel”
This hostel, run by a Vietnamese couple is tucked away in a little sidestreet. It’s a fun street to be at because it is also a residential area where local people live. There is a coffee shop around the corner. The couple running the place are very friendly, helpful and very honest. I stayed here a couple of days and I can highly recommend this hostel if you don’t want to stay in the walking street.

Nice place to stay in District 1”
Hotel is nice and clean. Good location in District 1, close to everything. Staff is nice and friendly. The only down side would be the tours they offer. You'd better book them directly withe the tour agency because they overcharge it. We decided to book one tour at the last minute at 10pm so no choice to book it with the hotel and we realised after talking with people doing the tour with us that we paid double price for exactly the same thing. Quite disappointing !

Great breakfast, helpful staffs”
I stayed for Six nights. My room located kinda high-floor (4th floor) but probably it is common in Vietnam. Staffs are great, they prepare towel for you everyday (though I don't need it), and a enjoyable, nutritious breakfast to kick-start your day. You can order half-day trip or 1 day trip directly from the counter, which is very convenient. The bathroom doesn't have any place to hang your clothes so you need to put on floor or hang on the door lock. It is a minus for me in term of cleanliness. Anyway there is hot water provided. Overall I think it is a nice place to stay. I'm satisfied with it.

Great new hotel in quiet alley”
This small backpack new hotel is a mix between dormitory and private rooms Well situated in a quiet alley near to ben thanh market and pham ngu lao area The staff is great and caring, the breakfast basic but good for the price We stayed in a private room, confortable bed, clean. The small window have no view and face to a wall. Anyway This is a good value place and i recommend it

not what listed”
as of today, this listing is being used as a conduit to book accommodations in another hostel named Saigon Home, located in a old house nearby that feels much more tired than previous location, and undergoing some rehabbing right now. Don't expect much from this accommodation. Front desk attendant is chatty and welcoming.

Pretty basic, but good Hosts!”
Breakfast was very basic, but good. No strong coffee though! Host is very helpful and around at any hour. Booked a tour to the mekong delta. Good price value, but extremly touristy. The hotel is not in the very center, but near to ben than market. Everything can be reached by foot.

Nice hostel”
Decided to stay for second night as everything works fine in the hostel. Friendly staffs, AC works, clean, spacious, breakfast provided with banh mi with eggs, fruits and coffee/tea. Only little problem with the unstable hot water in the shower.

The worst experience!”
At the beginning everything seemed very nice - I got a key to my room even before official check-in time and was allowed to leave my bag at the hostel. What a bad surprise when I came back in the evening. The room was completely cleaned up, towel and bed sheet removed and was told that there’s gonna be a reconstruction and I have to move to another room. When I came there, my bed was already taken by someone else so I went back to the reception and the owner told me that she would move me to another hostel nearby which is even better quality but I’d pay the same price. I only booked one night at Agoda but in the morning I agreed with the guy at the reception that I will stay 2 nights. The owner however told me that I only have booked one night with Agoda so I would have to pay full price for the other one which was double the price. When I objected that it’s not really fair because the problem was obviously on the hostel’s side she started being rude and said that I shouldn’t have come before check-in time and the man at the reception was only a security guy so I should not have agreed on staying longer with him. It was almost one hour discussion and in one moment she walked out saying that she is tired of talking to me and she is going home, leaving me there with her employee who spoke only little English. I have never experienced such an unprofessional behavior towards customer!
