I think it's the cheapest place to stay at koh Samet. I was 2 times on that beautiful island. Runa is very comfortable, quiet, they have everything needed for budget but at the same time convenient stay.

Great location 10 minite walk from the pier. Place is very modern and is very clean. Great dorm rooms where I stayed 2 nights. Then moved to a double bed room when a friend came for 1 night same again spotless and very modern. So what you see is what you get in the photos. Staff polit, 2 minute walk you got the main street on the Island with restraunts bars 7/11 then a 10 minute walk further down you got a run of the beach front for restraunts and bars. So over all I would give this a great review and great place to stay. Great value for money.

mattresses on the beds where in terrible condition, could feel all the metal springs popping through with no padding. very uncomfortable and painful sleep, we had 3 rooms and all the mattresses where in the same terrible condition. they badly need replaced, also the shower heads where in terrible condition and need replaced, water coming through only a few of the holes at high pressure were like needles hitting your skin, painful experience

My husband and I stayed in a triple room (doubles were not available) and we paid e60/ night. Room was clean, AC quiet, there was a small balcony. Location - 15min walk to the beach and 5min to the main street with shops. The only inconvenience was noise (apologies but not sure about the source, sounded like radio broadcast. It wasn't played from the hotel but in the area) it lasted around 2 hours in the evening and 2 hours in early morning. Evening wasn't that problematic but morning on a New Year's day after having a party it would be nice to have a snooze - noise prevented it.

Olly is a great host, very friendly and made sure everyone had enough air con and that the hostel was clean at all times. Made the effort to learn and remember each guests name which was a nice touch. He also provided suggestions on places to go for dinner that did not disappoint. I like how the dorms are laid out with sliding doors, gives that extra layer of privacy and the AC still keeps your bed cool. The breakfast in the mornings was really good and great value for money. The common area out front was very confortable and a great way to relax in the evenings and good for meeting people. If im ever back in koh samet ill make sure to come back here again. Could not reccomend enough.

We stayed here for one night only, but we loved the place. Our room was clean and spacious with a cute bathroom. The only negative aspect might be the sheets, as we‘re not sure if they were really washed. But I guess you will make this same experience whereever you go. Wifi worked perfectly. The ventilator in the room was nice - better than other ones we had before. One big plus is the fact, that geckos and mosqitoes are kept outside of the room. At last one might need to know that the guesthouse is not located within the nationalpark, so you have to pay 200THB as a foreigner to get to the beaches. I would recommend to rent a motorbike to explore the island.

So-so. Cheaper than others on Ko Samed. ...The receptionist is not smiling. The toliet have stain. The bed is quite rough.

My chosen room was not available on arrival, as nearly all agoda bookings with anything less than a large chain hotel and I was upgraded no fuss for my whole stay, staff were lovely and happy to help or chat.

The location is just 450 m fron Na-Dan pier, the main pier of Sa-med Island. It is near to food street and only 600 m to Sai-Kaew beach. The room was nice with aircon and private shower room with hot water. The staff was friendly and gave good suggestion.

This is the third time I went to koh samed and stay in Chilli hotel, it was my first choice to stay here compare with other hotels in samed beach, in particular for its location and surrounding for chilli hotel, it has comfortable bed, clean room and especially provide wifi service and great location which only 1 min walk to sai keaw beach, it was good overall.

Pro: - Very good located to the beach and to cheap restaurents - facilities were good contra: - staff didn't speak English well - during the night it was really noisy because of the dogs outside. Disturbing your sleep every hour. Couldn't sleep for days.

Negative The second floor obly can fit short or tiny people ,no recommand the person who is around 170cm. However, we have some friends are no that tall. At the first the rooms were a bit smell, but after we opened the door and airconditioner, it became better. Positive Location is no infront of the beach but the price is cheap and the accommodation is huge and comfy. Just 10minutes walking to the beach, and there have lots of restaurant around the samet99 but no all are delicious . The space of accommadation is huge for us, it has 3 bathroom!! 2 rooms which have queen or doubke size bed and 2 single size beds at living room. 3airconditioners, 2 sofabeds. Awesome!' The staff was friendly, we paid 600bah per pax for snorkeling. It was pretty tired but nice experinced. We met a staff which is reallllllyyyy nice! But sone of those just ...." touch" you...sometimes.. Overall, i am glad about the accommadation which i chose!!!

I think many people will walk past this hotel without realizing it is there. I booked for 3 nights and am very glad I did. Everything is on your doorstep, 7 eleven, laundry, ATM, etc. Its a 5 minute walk to the street with bars etc and 7 mins to the most popular beach. I walked everywhere but there are quads and bikes for rent. Staff, ( 4 young girls ) were very helpful and always smiling. Very glad I chose this hotel. Hot water, laundry etc all perfect. Nice TV, but hardly any English channels, but that was OK as I usually watch my laptop.

The room was great, we also got an upgrade because of less rooms. Room had everything you need and was clean. You even had a little grill to do your own BBQ. The only thing which was a bit weird was that the check-in was via telephone, so no reception. Just the cleaning girls with no English skills were around. But all in all everything went well and we can recommend to stay here. Close in 5 minutes to the biggest and full beach of Ko Samed. Great for the start on that island!

For a two star hotel, I would rate it higher than 5.5...maybe 7.5. Place was clean and location central. Bathroom was difficult--door opened in and made doing anything a challenge. Shower was good. Could not get TV to work, but no big deal as I didn't really need it. If you want a cheap room in central location and cleanliness is important, try this place. As an aside, I did not eat at the hotel, although I could have. However, I had to rate the food or could not submit this review. Agoda needs to change their survery!!

Our stay was good, the place is ultra clean, has all you need for travel (shower, A/C, electric kettle, hair dryer). We haven't seen the stuff around that much, but they welcomed us and cleaned the room every day, which was good. Location is in village center, but it it not on the main street, and it was tricky for us to get there, but fortunately owner of the property noticed us early and helped us. Also, please keep in mind that property has only ground level and only one window in the room. So you will have to keep it shut almost all the time. Personally I would prefer upper floors, but in the end we had a comfortable stay.

Too bad that pictures cannot be attached. Location is really quite good as it in midway between the main dropoff pier and diamond beach. Walkable to the west side for sunset (half hour). Very clean room with nice decoration, AC working well and toilet is big. Food options nearby available, 7-11 easily accessible. Only problem is that the staff / owner is not living on site, so everything has to be done by phone (which we didn't have so it was quite inconvenient). Even checkout has to be done by calling, not very easy to do without a local phone number for us. Important to note that the "alley / corner" can be very dark at night, so a flashlight would be required. Some lizards outside on the walls at night but they don't enter so that's fine. How to locate them: Google maps have a somewhat accurate location. They are very near "Baan Minnie". When you come out from the pier and see the international clinic, turn left and walk along the main road of the island. When you see a shop with lots of wood plates (opposite some school looking plain ground/field, turn right into the small road (if you see antique cafe you have walked too far). The small road should allow you to see two rows of white houses. Baan Minnie is the one on the lower level. Baan Hello Samed is on the "upper row" and within the upper row they are two blocks. BHS is located at the block further from you, second unit from the right. There is a tiny A4 paper stuck to the front gate. Hope this helps! Quite a value for money location except for the fact that it's hard to find by yourself and it can get quite dark at night

I didn't see any reviews on this hotel, and I just prayed that it will be ok, but to my surprise this hotel surpassed my expectations, as it was a last minute booking, but I was delighted that the hotel was very close to Nadan Pier in Kho Samet, (5 minute walk or less) the room was spotless and the staff were very warm and welcoming, I will definitely come back to this hotel, btw you have to try the hotel restaurant, the food was amazing, tom yang talay delicious!! , WIFI was strong, AC was cold, and again the food was amazing at this hotel, tip: hire a motorbike and go to Ao Wai and Ao Prao beach 10-20 minute ride, you won't regret it, check out of hotel 20 minutes to noon and you will catch the 12pm ferry back to Ban Phe.

that's amazing hotel just have 10-15 rooma. you pay little more. but in hotel room everything is brand new. blanket is. same as 5star hotels blanket . matress is so relax.easy check in. for check out just leave the key in lobby. staff is friendly

I visited Koh Samed with a couple of friends for a long weekend, and stayed at Smile Samed 2 nights. Its clean, and a good walking distance to the beach, plus its near lots of cool shops on the main strip. Its tucked away, so you don't get bothered by the beach noise pollution, the staff are really friendly and the room is comfortable. Absolutely no bad points at all! Two other friends of mine stayed nearer the beach, and got a much less nice room for 4x the price. I highly recommend this hotel!

near to 7-11, pier, city center and motorbike rent service. staff is friendly but not so good in english. overall is good.

Very friendly staff, helpful, very good and cheap food on restaurant under house, very good breakfest for good money, near to city, near to see. Only little noisy, if you have room with windows to the street. I like come back next year, for this money the best what you can get

The gentleman that ran La Belle Guesthouse was the most accomdating person. He helped us in any situation we had plus he had friends throughout island that he sent us to that would also help us out.Rooms are clean and the price was right. Right in heart of Samed City(not a city more like quaint market place) with some beach shops and bars. Again for the price La Belle was the place to stay. I rated restaurant but there is no restaurant at La Belle but there is 1 only a half a block away on left. My opinion is it was a 5

To put it in a nutshell, the room is okay for the price. We booked it short notice for 37€ per night and with that price it was one of the cheapest on the island. Having said that you should prepare for the following: - the bathroom is a complete disaster, the shower bruise is directed at the door and the toilet is put in the very worst possible position; your feet will get wet when you have to use it after someone else has had a shower; also when seated you will look at the wall 5 cm in front of you. The room has a nice "make-up" but its obvious it used to be a lower standard accomodation. The view was nice, which means a lot to me and the overall location is perfect. Its just a 5 min walk from the ferry pier.

I took my wife here for our 2 year anniversary. We had our teething 6 month old with us as well. The location was awesome! 5 min walk from the boat dock, though far enough away that it was quiet and peaceful. The front wall of the room is fully glass, sliding door, which makes for amazing views of the ocean sunrise in the morning. The glass has a 1 way tint on it so you can see out but others can't see in, unless your light is on. The staff was really friendly and spoke English well. The morning we left I was even given a ride in a side car with my suitcase to the dock. Our son was pretty fussy with his teeth, yet the people in the room next to us, 2 rooms per bungalow, said they couldn't hear him. Only bad thing was the matress was bad. Very squeaky when you move at all and also if you leave the bathroom door open, Mosquitos will get in. The window in the bathroom doesn't have screen. There was also gecko in the room, but living in Thailand, we haven't found a place they can't get into. All in all I would recommend this to anyone. The city center is maybe a 10 min walk so you can enjoy that, then head back to the quiet of the hotel.

This hotel is located very close to port samet (just across round about) good breakfast spots close by. Be careful when booking boat make sure they take you to the port pier, also easier to get slow boat and a lot cheaper.

Even on a busy weekend when Koh Samet was mostly full, they had a room avialabe for a great price. It's a little walk to the beach, but close to many restaurants and stuff on the Main Street. Clean and comfortable, no frills, but has a nice garden and everything worked. One of the best deals I've seen on Samet.

The location is very good, a couple of minutes stroll from the beach. For the price, I think the hotel could provide some coffee and a kettle in the room. The boy at the reception was very nice. I had some problems with the aircon, and I got a new room immediately. I'd stay here again next time I go!
