Nice hotel near back beach”
We stayed for 3 nights. Pros; Bed was awesome. Room we had was spacious. Breakfast was plentiful and good quality buffet selection. Swimming pool was very cold (probably doesn't get enough sunlight throughout the day), but you get used to it once in the water. Massage next door was not too expensive , with extras available, if that's your thing. Cons; A bit far away from local affordable popular bars and restaurants. Not enough plug sockets in room and not really in user friendly locations except for 1 by dressing table. The place could do with a bit of refurbishing and a revamp. Windows are sealed up, probably because of the weather coming in off the sea, and curtains were insufficient to close out the light fully. All in all, I would stay again if I needed to, but only at a push. There are so many more to choose from in the city.

Not worth it!”
Stayed at this hotel for the weekend. Asked for a non-smoking room but room smelled of cigarette smoke. Air conditioning blows right over the bed, so it’s very uncomfortable and hard to sleep without blowing on you. TV does not have international channels. Went to buffet breakfast about 8am and many of the trays were already empty. Had to beg for some bread. Front desk staff extremely impolite. Finally at check out, we were ripped off when paying for motorcycle rental: typical price is 200k in all other hotels but we were charged 300k. Complaints were ignored. Stay away from this hotel. Not worth it at all!

A very pleasant stay in a comfortable hotel ”
We often go to the Imperial next door but this time we chose to stay in a more affordable hotel and it was very pleasant. The porter greeted us and took our bags to our room. The check-in was efficient with plenty of English and things looked good from the first impression of the lobby. Our room had a lovely view over the sea and back over Vung Tau city and the mountains. Everything looked clean and well maintained. The swimming pool was well managed with a young guy watching the kids and I ordered a couple of beers watching my daughter enjoy herself. The breakfast has no cereal but there was plenty of eggs , toast and meat as well as salad. I do find the Imperial a bit pretentious with all the fake Regency paintings and statues. The Sammy has all the facilities without the cost and the phoney environment. I have no hesitation in recommending this place for a pleasant few days ar Vung Tau

A place you should choose to stay in Vung Tau”
Although we've travel to Vung Tau thousand times, it's first time to stay in Sammy Hotel. And we didn't regret for our choice, as beside an excellent central location that we could go straight toward the safe and nice beach, the distance from the hotel to everywhere are nearer than other hotels, and we just walked and enjoyed. Friendly and professional staff who gave us a nice smiles, a good set up of the room, and prompt response for any requests made us feel we like the King. Only one night staying but next time, we promise ourselves that Sammy is the first choice when we go to Vung Tau overnight. Thanks Agoda for giving us this opportunity to discover what we missed in the past.

I can recomend this hotel, the staff was very kind, not all of them speak english. but we got a good service when we where there, even we only had one night there in vung tau. The rooms where clean, and a nice view over the ocean from the room we had, or you could have one with mountain view. The breakfast menu was a buffet, it was good, mostely vietnamese food, there was a little bread and butter, and jam. I would stay there again if i go to vung tau another time, and the beach there i very nice.

Nice beach close to HCMC”
The Sammy is a modest hotel in Vung Tau, accessible from HCMC. by 1.5 hours in a hydrofoil. There is a nice pool behind the hotel and the beach is across the main road. This is a town mostly used by locals and I would recommend going during the week when it's not busy.

Hotel located at the most beautiful area of Vung Tau Beach - Thuy Van. Near the night sea food market, you can find all kind of yummy dishes you desire with published and reasonable price. Swimming pool is nice but towel is not provided there you should bring along from your room. Breakfast is 👍 and variety. Front Desk staff are not professional and friendly. They are not well trained to greet customers properly. I booked two rooms but so worried about the security and carelessness of Receptionist by issuing extra room key without verification. I simply got extra key by telling the room number. It’s unacceptable to 4* hotel standard. Hotel Management should seriously pay attention on this for improvement.

Beach is opposite hotel. Room is reasonable but it needs one more mirror on a table, then we can make up and more comfortable. Having many kinds of delicious food for foreigner also Vietnamese. Staff is also helpfull and friendly. If I like to visit Vung Tau, I will choose this hotel again.
