We were a group of 4 friends and booked this place just for 2 nights to have a weekend getaway. The house is amazing! This is probably the first time in my life when reality is way better than the pictures. We had enough of space for everybody and really loved the interior and house itself. It's walking distance to Lanta Old Town if you need to grab a dinner or do some light souvenir shopping. We had a car, so location didn't really bother us, but you should know that getting to the other side with beaches will take around 20-25 min by bike/car. The staff that checked us in, Khun Sunny was really friendly and helpful. She welcomed us like close friends and gave her phone number in case we need anything. Really nice! We loved our stay here and will be definitely back again!

I LOVED my stay at Sweet Life. The location is in a quiet part of the island that still feels very local and friendly, which I loved. The bed was really comfortable and the room and common areas are nice and homey. Upon arrival I was given a cold glass of water and a binder of island recommendations during check in. Tommy, the host, took care of my every need, sometimes even before I knew I needed it! He spent a great deal of time talking with me about the different island tours and restaurants and then called to make the appropriate reservations (and he was right about them all...great food and fun tours). The power went out one night and he was there immediately, finding us candles and making sure we were ok. Maayan, the owner, was incredibly helpful and hospitable, before and during my trip. I also highly recommend taking the cooking class given by Maayan’s husband, Mon. I took 4 cooking classes in Thailand and can say with confidence that his was top notch (and so much fun!). Overall, one of the best places I stayed in Thailand...I’m already making plans to come back!

This, for us, was a totally gorgeous spot that I will never forget. Living above the water (when the tide was high), with that beautiful view out in front was so relaxing. Comfy bed, sofa, hammock, dining on the balcony, well equipped kitchen, quiet (apart from the lapping of the water and singing from the Mosques) - I would really recommend this experience. It's not high end but it's very good value for money. The only let down, sadly, was the shower room. The place would benefit so much for a bit of an upgrade of the shower room. Unfortunately it smelt a little bit but I tried to block it out because everything else was fantastic!

Everything was great but we were eaten alive by mosquitos at night, the room we stayed in didn't have mosquito net, make sure you have one. Also, our room was closer to the sea (the bay) and it was very noisy at tide time because of the waves. Some people might find it nice, we couldn't really sleep till deep in the night. Other than that - great staff, great food, top notch design - fresh and modern on one hand and traditional on the other, comfortable large beds. Probably one of the best to stay in Koh Lanta's old town.

The property was magical, the staff (it is all family run) were courteous and kind, the food was sublime. Our only regret is not staying longer. The best accommodations one could ask for.

It was truly the best deal we made until now. The staff was super nice, the receptionist’s brother even gave us a lift to the next hotel we stayed at on the island. The old town is really worth spending a few days at and I totally recommend choosing this hotel und also haven breakfast there, which is good and cheap as well. For Lunch & Dinner one should try “Pinto” near by the pier ... 5min walk from the Malee Sirin Resort. The room was perfectly clean und We also enjoyed hving our own little terrace in front of it as well as super comfy mattresses. Thumbs way up!

We arrived to Sriraya GH after travelling trough thailand gulf for 2 weeks where we were disappointed about almost everything.We are a couple of girlfriends pretty open minded. Lanta old town was the place where finally we felt not tourist but travelers. Sriraya is the most beautiful guest house we've been in south asia , it's not just a place to stay but specially a place to live and discover thai peopole. You can use the kitchen , buy everythin in the village, fesh fish catched the night at a thai price ..they helped us to cook thai recipies for free. If I should reccome d a place in thailand Sriraya would be the one. We booked one night but we stayed 4 and more if it would be possible. Go there if you're looking for something different from a tourist trap.

I personally had a very nice time here. I think there are a lot of points I want to say about this place, and really it depends on the person if they will view these points as negatives or positives. 1. It is about a 40 min drive from the port in Saladan. (nothing around, no hotels, no touristy things, very isolated) 2. I don't know if it's just the dates that I stayed there, but the waves at night were sooo sooo loud. I had the bungalow closest to the shore, and the sound of the waves were deafnening, I couldn't sleep so well. 3. There aren't many dining options close by, but the hotel is also a restaurant with some good food. Honestly, I had the best chicken fried rice, I have ever had in my life. Also, the menu was a bit pricey (compared to countries like Japan though it was cheap) 4. The bungalows are located on a rocky beach, so no you probably will not be swimming 20 meters from your bungalow, you will have to drive all the way to the other side of the island to find some beaches, take a tour to some islands, or maybe row to the island across. 5. The steps to the bungalows are pretty steep, and there are quite a few to go down to the furthest bungalow (closest to the beach) If you have trouble with stairs or have a lot of luggage, this would definitely be something to look at. 6. There are a lot of geckos, and tons of bugs if you leave your light on at night (for people who are afraid of lizards and bugs) geckos are harmless though and never bothered us during our stay 7. There is no hot water for the shower. The shower and toilet is open air. 8. You can rent a scooter at the hotel for 250baht a day or 200baht/day if you rent it for 2 or more days. Also, you can rent a 2person kayak for 500baht a day at the nearby restaurant. 9 When you get to the port, it is normally a minimum of 400baht per person to get you to the hotel. (NOTE certified TukTuk drivers have a highlighter vest with a number and a sign on their TukTuk with set prices) Hope this was helpful.

The at the beautifull resturant and rooms was very high value for the money. It is a funny place with a relaxed atmospher. Our room was build on stilts in the mettle of the mangrove Forrest, which made the stay very authentic. The resort isin the mittens of koh lanta old town, where the atmosphere is totally different from rest of koh lanta. Here are people living their live together with the tourists and because of the tourists. In the evening, when all the day trippers are gone back to the west coast we had the entire town for our self together with the locals -perfect. Ant the resort is in the mettle of it. Great feeling.

The afternoon we arrived the sea was very choppy, which made the first hour or so very exciting, strange to get used to and unforgettable really. The Mango Seafront Suites are beautiful old refurbished fishermen's shacks, made entirely of wood, with lovely smooth wooden floors and big cracks between the floorboards. If you want to see and hear the sea beneath your feet you won't be disappointed. The tide comes in and goes out and is a gentle, pleasant marker on the time of day; unless it's choppy and the sea is raging beneath your feet, in which case you're probably being conscious of not dropping anything small or valuable through the floorboards. The suites are located a few doors down from Fresh restaurant, which is fantastic, a lot of variety. There are lots of other little eateries and good places to shop in Old Lanta Town, including the best Thai-style, holta-neck dress shop ever. It's a very nice part of the world and the Mango Seafont Suites make it even more special with sweeping views of the bay and a big over-water balcony with chairs and a hammock to lose yourself in the view. A fantastic place to relax.

this hotel locates in the old town so it is kinda inconvenient. i did not live in this booking room actually since the host upgrade the room for me for free cuz i was with my mom and therewereavailable upgraded room. she would like to provide better service for the aged....thx a lot. the tonyum fried rice tasted so good that i cannot forget

we extended our stay here / really enjoyed this small homey place with friendly staf and A+ free breakfast! we tried both the fan and aircon room - pick the aircon! aircon is on the jetty - super clean - comfortable and very spacious! be aware water comes in right under you which we found this sound very soothing but others may not. Also aircon - tv and bathroom were all new and well maintained. the fan room is totally fine clean and comfortable as well for budget but has a few cons : weak fan - open ceiling area to reception so when they come and go you hear everything - also outside the door is a little hangout but not very appealing as there's a water pump going on/off and sometimes sewage smell wafts in.. otherwise you get a comfy king bed - clean modern bath - mosquito net - fridge and tv so all these might outweigh the negatives .. also be aware at night this room location doesn't have any nightlight outside so it's dark along the corridoe - yes we would stay here again !

What a find - having read the previous reviews we were hoping for something special but we were absolutely blown away by this location! The view when the tide is high is out of this world! We were especially lucky as we arrived on the first day of the Lanta Lanta festival and had an absolutely fabulous time here. We were so glad we stayed in the Old Town - even without the festival there was plenty to do and loads of great restaurants (some of the best food we had in Thailand). The room was spacious and extremely clean, the owners were very helpful and friendly - thank you so much for a wonderful stay and we hope to return!

I was lucky enough to be the first guest at the newly refurbished Tonmai Suites last month. I stayed for a week in the luxurious Suite A with a beautiful wrap around balcony and views out to sea and down the lovely street to Old Town. The photos show exactly what you can expect to experience - fabulous new furniture, fittings, artwork, and gorgeous linens in the rooms - lovely common areas (with great fresh ground coffee available all day) - and an absolutely beautiful tropical garden for all to enjoy. This property is under all-new Management and Business partners Jen and Darren are lovely hosts who have worked very hard over the last few months to bring it up to the high standard it deserves - and their hard work has paid off - it's absolutely beautiful and I highly recommend anyone looking to stay in Lanta Old Town to experience this amazing place. Ignore all of the old reviews, they are no longer relevant - you'll have an outstanding stay here, and I can't wait to go back!

We had a wonderful stay at Verona Lanta. The rooms were spacious, newly built and very comfortable. They have a huge plum orchard facing the property that adds to the serenity. Hotel is a just few minutes from 'Old Town' - the charming local market by the sea. We spent quite a few memorable evenings on the decked-up restaurants here slurping up the Thai delicacies, hearing the sound of the gentle waves and enjoying the refreshing cool breeze. Breakfast at Verona was equally fulfilling - the lovely freshly made American breakfast would give the best start to the day. Above all, we LOVED the hospitality of our hosts - Ppuu and brother. Such adorable people,. I would come back again just to meet them! They have their own bike rentals too. Highly recommended.

Fabulous little place. Super clean, incredibly comfortable bed, helpful staff, peaceful location, wifi worked like a dream, and the shower was lovely, hot and powerful after a day at the beach. Only issue that didn’t sit right with us was that the shower drains directly into the sea... 🤔 but hey, this might happen elsewhere and we wouldn’t know it...
