Book it now.This homestay is amazing.It is owned by a family and they all are amazing human beings!!I don’t even know where to start on this review. Food:My child is a picky eater and we both loved everything we ate here it was fantastic and it will not be forgotten. Room:We stayed in the seasonal house with the small balcony.It wasn’t quite a balcony in the traditional sense but it still had a fantastic view so I am not complaining at all it was fantastic!!It was clean , had AC, the bathtub was amazing for soaking and is a shower as well.The bed was comfy and I love the decoration. Grounds:The garden and grounds are immaculate .I can not even begin to say how perfect the infinity pool was!!The views are everything it’s so picturesque.It’s maintained very well and we had it to ourselves. Staff:Everyone we ran into was extremely helpful and accommodating.Super professional!!They helped with luggage, made sure we were picked up and taken to the correct locations ,we even got some Vietnamese language lessons. I love love love love love Sapa Clayhouse!!!! It is just like Topas ecolodge as far as the pool and views for half the price and a more homey personal touch feel.It’s like staying with family! Thank you So much for an unforgettable experience!!!

We are a group with young child and an elderly. We strongly recommend it for families or couples. They made our trip perfect. I have no complaint about the place, facilities. The people went extra miles to make sure we felt comfortable. They helped us book cars for our trips at very reasonable prices, the drivers were polite and knowledgeable. We ordered breakfast, a la cart menu, and even customized a meal and all were great. The scenery is amazing, we could enjoy sunset and sunrise, moonrise and moonset as well. We watched the cloud and sky changing at any moments in the day. The area was very quiet. The resort is nice and clean, with lovely decoration, lovely flowers and plants. The road to the hotel is a bit tough but that's ok if there is no heavy rain. I recommend to contact the hotel in advance so they can arrange car to pick you up from bus station.

After staying at Topas Eco lodge which we thought would be the highlight, it was completely out performed by Clay house - Sa pa! For all reasons really! - Incredible location and views, rooms were fantastic, well appointed, clean, with all the touches and incredible views!! Food was amazing, fresh quality ingredients, the hike we did organised by Linh was hugely enjoyable, not so touristy and easy to arrange! Can't fault this place 10/10 in all categories and I rarely rate where I stay! If you are in Sapa You must stay here! Thanks guys! Max and Francesca

Awesome and Relaxing”
Really enjoyed the stay at Sapa Clay House during my trip to Sapa. Their staff was so friendly, efficient and engaging. When we first reached the resort, the staffs and their "doggos" made sure we feel welcomed. Also recommended us the different things to do during the stay while assisting us with our check in. Not only the room, but the whole place was clean. View from the room was awesome. Breakfast is excellent, different choices of food to choose from. From toasts and omelette to traditional Vietnamese noodles. Can't say anything more but only to experience the stay yourself. Definitely would visit again!

Magical getaway in the mountains”
Love everything here— the cosy clay architecture, the amazing service, incredible views from the bed through the glass doors, the herb bath I took in the wooden tub, the spotlessly clean interiors and most of all, the feeling of total ease and warmth being here. after a long day of exploring the mountain rice terraces on motorbike, the hot shower and soft bed were a luxurious embrace for our bodies and minds. listening to the lullaby of crickets before sleep was like being gently sung to sleep. And waking up to fabulous views from the bed made us feel very lucky indeed. Would love to return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two nights at Sapa Clay House. The proprietors are wonderful people, and treated us like family. So helpful, friendly and hard working. Great food and such a fantastic room. I have not one complaint about this intimate and cozy lodge. The setting is fantastic, but hope for good weather, to see the stunning views. Mountain climates are always changing but we even enjoyed the cooler weather on the second day. We spent our full day on a trek to local villages with a local guide. Overall our trip provided a very enjoyable and meaningful experience. Highly recommended!

Ive been a day with Clay House and I regreted because I only reserved just one day. The view was much better than those pictures and the most amazing thing was the foods. Me and my friend had six plates for our dinner and it was the best foods during my Vietnam trip.

Stayed here for the breathtaking view and everything else surpassed our expectations! The hosts were very nice and did an extremely good job in taking care of the needs of all their guests. I really liked going back to a drink (either their sunset cocktail or fruit juice) and then to our room with the essential oil diffuser switched on and a small note and gift on our bed every day. It rained on one of the nights, and we woke up to umbrellas at our doorsteps. Although the location is about 10 minutes drive away from Sapa town, the travelling is definitely worth it! I would stay here again when I come back to Sapa!

The property is about 4km away from town centre. Quiet and with good mountain air. You basically can walk the cement track from this resort to Lao Chai and Ta Van on your own. There are plenty of villagers along the route and they are most helpful with directions. However, it was foggy during our stays. Bame the weather. The road from town centre to this property was under heavy construction. There were no street lamps at night and thus a bit unsafe temporarily. The staffs were pleasant and friendly. They had got 3 dogs and a cats. Had quite a relaxing stay.

Spectacular View from the room”
Upon arriving, we are welcomed by the family with their 3 lovely dogs. They are helpful and most of them can speak English. The food from the restaurant is one of the best I ever eaten (for me) though the pricing might be a bit high. Rooms are great with huge bathroom. The most awesome throughout the stay would be the view to die for! Overall worth the stay!

Pros - Located at less crowded area of SaPa with beautiful Valley view right in front of the hotel! Walkable distance to discover Lau Chai Village and TaVan Village, scenery was amazing if weather is good. Comfortable heated mattress to keep you warm in the cold weather. Breakfast and food are delicious! Staffs was nice and friendly, great service 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Cons - Away from town centre, inconvenient transportation, need to rely on cab to go to town or anywhere else in SaPa. Road condition in Sapa is terrible, riders need to be cautious. Food was great but price are relatively higher. Overall we love Sapa Clay House!
