Sapa Hostel”
They checked us in straight away even tho we arrived early in a morning. Helped us with booking the tour to Mt Fansipan for a great price and we could also keep our stuff in storage while in the mountains.. than on the check out day, we could use the room a bit longer than the standard checkout time was as our laundry wasn't ready, so thumbs up for the service. The lady spreaks great English..The room was older and bathroom not that clean but Sapa is more expensive..so good deal overall!

Only stayed there for a night. Beds were clean. Toilet is clean also. Bed was kinda hard but thats okay for me. Warer heater is working good. Location is okay. Walking distance from Sapa square. Cant find it at first as it is located up a small slip road. I arrive at night so thats why. People were helpful.

If you looking for a cheap stay then the Sapa Hostel will be perfect. But then you have to take a wet smelly room and don't expect a really high hygienically standard (not really bad, but could definitely be better)...

very nice dorm”
very nice dorm which is more like a private room with 3 comfortable single beds and a clean bathroom with free toiletries. The location is great, walking distance to the main area but quiet enough for sleeping at night. The view of the mountains from the second floor is very nice. The wifi was really fast in all areas. I really enjoyed staying here!

Even 1 star hotels should have minimum standards”
Heat is a minimum standard in an area that gets cold like Sapa. A heating pad makes it survivable but does not replace heat in the room. The internet is useless for working and there is no desk anyway. Customer service was good from one person but initial request for booking a minibus was agreed to but ignored. The office dining area looks like a lab experiment. Inhumane caging of dogs is inappropriate even if they are going to eat it. This place is barely passable even for backpacker standards with dirty sheets, funky, smelly bathrooms, and spiders all over the room. I have stayed in much, much better rooms for the price in Vietnam.

The blankets made all the difference as Sa Pa was going through a cold spell. Friendly and helpful staff at a reasonable price - next door's building site isn't ideal at the moment but only affects things during the day. Thanks!

In good weather?”
I stayed there in February, during a wet & cold spell. It was even colder in the room. The only heating is the electric blanket. It takes a serious consideration to take a shower. But, there is plenty of very hot water, wifi, etc., and you can rent a motorcycle. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Uncomfortable bed and average bathroom, breakfast was fine. Location great, limited staff availability and assistance to help to plan our stay in sapa. Fine for 1 night stay, wouldn't stay there again, rather pay a little bit extra for more comfortable stay.

The location is very good and also the atmostphere. Feel like living in an ancient billionaire guest house. The building is quite old. However, for the good wifi, areas to chill out watching the mountain and clean bed, so it is very ok.
