Very good place to stay in malacca”
1. Clean and fresh First i saw some comment on the toilet needed to be improved but when i come, all toilet facilities is full equipped and very very clean. I mean, it depends on how travellers use. The dorm has 4 people. Very satisfy. Bed is clean also 2. Location Is in the heart of malacca. Just walks few minutes to the centre like johnker street or famous place and windmill, saint paul, marine... in the room also can see the river through the window. Cool! 2. Free bicycle and breakfast 3. Nice staff. They are friendly. Sometimes they are not at the desk so can call phone if urgent. 4. Supportive: i need to boook bus ticket to penang, they help without any fees and very friendly. Surely if i come back malacca, sayang sayang will be my place to stay.

Lovely hotel and service with a smile”
i stay there for 3d2n. although no attached bathroom but is convenience enough. behind is the river, during night time can sit there and have some nice chatting time with fren for with bf/gf... such a nice feeling. as i drove there, i be able to find a parking jz in front of sayang-sayang.. it make me feel more safe... the room decor is incredible! the first sight i will think like "it is so much different from the internet picture" but after all, i found that it is actually a nice design. it create double space in such small place. excellent!!! anyway.. it is happy to stay at sayang-sayang. just if they provided attached bathroom's room will be best..

Great location but small room”
Ive been to jonker street/ melacca few times and the thing is i always choose sayang sayang youth hostel because i find it quite convenient whether u want to go for jonker walk or go to melaka central. walking to jonker street just takes you 5 - 8 minutes while walking to the nearest bus stop that leads you to melaka central takes about 5 - 8 minutes too. the rooms are quite small, just a sofa, and a double bed

Friendly Youth Hostel ”
It's our first experience with this hostel and we love it. It's a unique two-storey room, with small coach like a small living room, and if we are tired just go upstair, there's bed there. The air con is really functioning. The great things is they profide wifi for free, so for blackberry users like me and my friends, it's really an advantages. The staff is very helpful and they also provide a map for Malacca sightseeing. The location is close to Jonker Street and Old town. One more thing, they provide all day long tea and coffee :)

Nice hostel for budget traveler”
The staff are very friendly and provide simple instruction for a walking tour around the hostel. The location is nice, beside the Melaka River, it offers affordable stay for backpacker, it offers free Wi-Fi and internet access. Sayang-Sayang offer standard twin room with air conditioningand dormitory rooms . Shared bathroom facilities and bathroom. I recommend standard twin room as it provide more privacy and security. The dormitory should only be considered for boys as it has no air-con and most guests are topless most of the time. Overall it is a good hostel for budget traveler.

Sayang Sayang Youth Hostel is a no-frills accommodation which offers decent beds for those visiting Malakka on a tight budget. It is a short walk to Chinatown and Jonker Street. It is very convenient to visit the night market and other attractions. Highly recommended!

Excellent ”
First try of this guesthouse. Centrally located, one word to describe - Great! Grab our eyes was the room design So we get a try. Absolutely valuable and good for money. Walking distance 5mins to jonker street. N river side view behind the guesthouse. Staff was friendly n guided. Pleasant hostel. A good place to rest. Would come back for 2nd time.! N definitely Sayang Sayang !!

Good location with pleasant staff”
Our stay at Sayang2 youth hostel was pleasant. It was our 2nd time staying there. On the 1st night, our room experienced leaking air cond and so we called the night reception on duty. His number was promptly displayed. Despite being 10pm, he arrived within 5 minutes and changed our room. The toilets were cleaned although the heater was not functioning. We were told by another guest that the other heater upstairs was functional. Will definitely come back as the price was also a bargain.

VERY good value for money”
The hostel is very close to Jonker st, and far enough to not be affected by the noise. The staff was friendly and helped me access the internet. The bed was comfortable and the common area was a good place to meet other people. The bathroom wasn't exactly the cleanest as it was only cleaned once a day but given the price paid I really have no other complaints.

Budget Nice Hotel”
This was my second times stay at Sayang Sayang Hotel, it is a budget hotel and shared bathroom, but overall the hotel is clean because we need to take off our shoes to enter this hotel,they provide bicycle rental for us outside the hotel, but if you want to go to Jonker street, it just a 3 minutes walking distance, very near. The only disadvantage is the acoustic problem, beside room noise can hear in our room.

I've spent 2 days 1 nights in Sayang Sayang Youth Hostel with my love one, the room is great, it is well designed where the bed is lifted and under the bed there is a cough, I really like this.

Warm Hospitality, Even Warmer Dorm!”
Sayang Sayang Youth Hostel is within walking distance from the bus stop, lovely host, very clean and security is tops for a hostel! Bicycle rental is available for guests (cheapest rate in town). Lockers available, curtains are installed for privacy. My only complain is the dorm is extremely hot, even at night (no air conditioning, not enough fans and poor ventilation)! We were drenched in our own sweat but only stayed here for a night. Will I go stay here again? Yep, but I'd go for the room.

Backpacker's heaven. ”
The location is just suit if you wish to walk around Malacca. Everything is in walking distance. Suitable for backpackers or solo traveller. Not suitable for family with children as it has shared bathroom and if you're not familiar with this style of room. I will stay here again if I go to Malacca :)

Great hostel by the river”
This was a very fun experience for us. We've never stayed at a hostel before, so this was a novelty for us. We're a family of four. Our youngest one is 10 years old. Out of all the hostel/hotel accommodations, this was was his favorite. The facilities were clean and there's a staff member on site all day. Right behind the hotel is the Melaka river, which has a riverwalk that is let at night. It was a very relaxing two-day stay for us.

the smell. ”
It was okay for me. When I reached there, no one is working at the receptionist. They said their working hour is from 9 - 6pm. I had to call them, and they said they changed my room to another hotel in Chinatown. We went into their 'sayang sayang' logo car and head to other place. On the way, he said it was a mistake and brought us back to sayang sayang. It was such a big drama. -.- a lot of 'Bangladesh/vietnam-kind-of-people' loitering in the receptionist. They lived there. The smell was terrible. I don't know whether it came from the hotel itself or them. And the bed was somehow a little dirty, there was dirt on the bed, but there was no one working in the receptionist so we couldn't do anything. On the next day, the smell disappeared! Even those people were not around. The next morning was so peaceful.

It was a short escape trip for me and 3 of my friends to malacca.The location of the hotel is nice, just near to Jongker Street. We can easily reach there within walking area. My group had book 2 rooms on Sayang-Sayang Hotel.The environment is just nice. The receptionist is nice as well.

there is 2 branch of sayang sayang hostel and im staying lakeside sayang sayang.. not as pretty as what shown in the pictures.. once enter the room quite dusty and the lighting is fine for my room but very dim in my friend room. there is no window in all the lakeside guest room. luckily its not smelly once i enter the room. can hear those ceiling fan moving from the upper floor during night time. if you are sensitive to sound maybe its not a good choice to stay. oni recommend to those who seek for cheap budget stay. very near to night market since its just a 5 min walk.
