Awesome Natural Place”
After the booking we was reading all the negative comments and we got a little bit scared..... Well don't worry, Just ignore them, the place is good and there is nothing to add. We had a fan room with a beautiful sea view (for that money!), the place was clean, staff was friendly. And yes there is many stairs, good for work out. I spend over 150 nights per year in the hotels and believe me, you get what you paid for. Sorry, we did not had breakfast, no comment about that.

Amazing Staff and Great Value”
I was here in March of 2020, the staff were absolutely incredible, they took care of me and helped me with absolutely anything I asked for. The breakfast here is simple, however very very very well made. I would recommend this place to absolutely anybody who is looking for a value resort. The internet could be a tiny bit better, but I absolutely loved this place.

The most relaxing spot in the island”
Very nice place! The front beach bungalow has a really wonderful view on the sea. The beach is very quiet and relaxing. The staff is very willing to help. Hope to come back there again.

Absolute gem of a resort ”
Absolutely great place to stay for a quiet, relaxing break. The rooms are a stones throw from the beach or set back slightly in the garden and are basic but very clean and comfortable. The staff are lovely and very helpful and the beach itself is very quiet, unspoilt and relaxing. The food is more than adequate but it's not the tastiest you'll get in Thailand and we found that we ate at the restaurant next door to Sea Scene (60 seconds along the beach) more than at Sea Scene itself. Whilst the location is very quiet, Sea Scene hire scooters very reasonably and you can get to the north of the island in 20-30 minutes. Alternatively, they are happy to call you a local taxi if you don't fancy the scooter option. I will definitely book here again when I go to Phanagn.

Like visiting your nan!”
Sea scene was a lovely little place tucked away from everything. It was located right on the beach and our cabin had a view of the sea. The room was a very good size and aircon was good too. The ladies who run the place were so lovely, was really like visiting my nan and being waited on hand and foot! They couldn't be anymore efficient! Thong sala was the closest town and we visited there once at night for the market. We ate very cheap but it wasn't our cup of tea, a bit tough around the edges with a few 'spaced out' looking people.

Bang for $ - No Brainer”
We enjoy traveling 5 star style. We also enjoy getting the biggest bang for our buck. The place next to us was $350 a night. At Sea Scene we got two rooms for 4 nights for $500. One of those room was ocean front. The view / scenery is awesome!!! Massive rocks and unreal sunset. Can't swim though. No snorkel. You can walk in the water and along the beach. The diamond in the rough: at happy hour go to the $$$ hotel next door and ask them "if we partake in your happy hour can we use you pool"? Obviously doesn't have to be happy our but give them some business and use your pool. Now you can have your cake and eat it too. As for the food at Sea Scene I was happy with it. Some things not so much but you'll be just fine staying on site to eat the odd meal. Menu is large. Rooms are like cabins. Still king bed and sweet balcony off the front but don't lose sight of what your paying. If you go to a place like this and are disappointed considering the money you spent you should have booked next door. Easy to get up in the morning have your complimentary breakfast and then go tour the island.

Lovely Place to Stay”
I recently spent 2 wonderful nights here at Sea Scene Resort. Such a peaceful place to stay. The staff are great, the food is decent and the view from my sea front bungalow was heaven on earth. I will return.

Friend staff, best place we stayed aesthetically ”
Myself and my girlfriend was originally staying in malabu bungalows, however the hotel was dreadful so we were recommended sea scence. We book the Rimlay room. Upon arrival we were greeted by the most friendly woman who was to show us to our room. The room was adjacent to the beach and the view was amazing. The bungalow it's self must have only been refurbished because the rooms and toilets were so clean we couldn't believe it. The real reason we were there was for the full moon but ended up staying 3 more nights. The location to the full moon isn't that bad it about 20 mins on a taxi bus and costs about £2-3 in English in transfers and can be found all night and day. The hotel had a restaurant which was a reasonable in price and the food was decent one again. I had a bit of an issue I crashed the hotels scooter and expected a high fine but only to recieve a small fine for the damage. This family run buisness is honest, friendly and I honestly really want to say something negative just to balance this out but I can't .. Seriously go and request the Rimlay house even if it is a few pound more!!

Best ever budget....”
Our stay at "Sea Scene " was perfect, in every way possible, the staff and owners went out of there way to be sure we had the best stay ever..the only comment I woul make is that they need to use cleaning agents in the bathroom, but that comment is only because we run a similar holiday accomadation in Spain.

I have been staying at Sea Scene every year for 20 years. It is one of my favorite beaches in the world. Very quite, the most beautiful sunsets. If its peace and tranquility with a view to die for then Sea Scene is for you!

Lovely budget resort great value for money”
We spent 3 nights at sea scene, the hotel staff were nice but found English hard so you had to explain yourself a couple of times before they understood. My girlfriend and I are backpacking through South East Asia and it is safe to say it was one of the better places to stayon a budget. If you want peace and quiet then this is your ideal place, however if you want nightlife and good restaurants and bars stay in the area of haad rin, you will need to hire a moped from the hotel (200 baht a day) as this is a lot cheaper than a one way taxi ride and allows you to see all of the beautiful parts of the island very cheaply.

A beautiful place but can be overpriced”
The Sea Scene is a very nice resort on a beautiful beach that looks like in the Caribbean sea! The water can be a little shallow sometimes but that has nothing to do with the hotel. The staff was very friendly, even when we had to wake them up on night because of ants in our bungalow (the manager came and fixed that immediately). Only critique: The prices for the beach front bungalows are way overpriced compared to similar resorts on the island. The bungalows in the second row would do for me too or I would ask for a discount depending on the season. Overall I can really recommend that resort.

Very quiet bungalows on nearly private beach”
I would recommend sea scene to anyone wanting a peaceful & relaxing stay. The room was basic, & any issue I had was taken care of right away. However, I stayed 3 nights, & there was no cleaning, not even trash taken out. The location is very nice, on a beach that is not very populated, with balconies off each bungalow, & nice gardens throughout. I found the resort to be very calming. The beach is not good for swimming though, so be prepared to hire a motorbike or take transport to a different beach for this.

Missing a little of hospitality skills ”
We arrive in a beautiful hot day to Koh Phangan, when we got in the room, it was closed, ac off and like 40 C inside. Afterwards they figure out the AC wasn’t working and we had to ask them to change our room. They finally did but the details were missing, such as we were 3 and there were only 2 glasses of water, there is just one plug in ENTIRE room for charging electronics (they have extensions to borrow, but obviously you need to go all the way to reception to get one). Breakfast was good and the renTing bikes in the hotel is very convenient. Beach isn’t for swim but is nice to hear the water sound in the morning and night. Would recommend for 2,3 days. More than this will be a bit annoying. Lack in communication but apparently is comum in these islands.
