Great location, great staff!”
We stayed in this hotel for only half a day as we were traveling from HCMC & then heading to Nha Trang very early AM the next day. We had booked this room just to have a place to rest in between stops. The resort is family owned & THEY HAVE DOGS!!! I fell in love w their dogs who are sooo sweet (Lu & Tom) we even had a little photoshoot w them. The rooms were nice, clean & very spacious! Would def stay here again!

Nice property on the beach, clean and very friendly. The beach isn't that clean, seems like there is a bunch of beach construction going on. The place itself is nice though and great for the value, nice breakfast as well.

Location is very good at the central of City, at the restaurant street but only 3 parking slots in the hotel area, Room is good but a bit old and one air condition malfunction, one window unlockable, But water heater is working and good enough hot water for shower

It has a great beachfront view. The staff tried to do everything in their power to help and accommodate. The rooms were old. No hot water on first day. TV wasn't working. For the price it was not worth it as there were other hotels/resorts that had better facilities. The location was good as it was in the middle of mui ne. I would not recommend it unless the owners improved the facilities or reduced the prices.

Disappointed ”
Pros The staff were generally friendly. Cons Maitenance of rooms and especially locks and door was poor. Staff’s English was minimal and one was non existent which made communication frustrating and ineffective. I was the only person there for a lot of my 10 days except for the first night when my neighbours kept me awake till 1:30am and then woke me at 6:30am. I could hear every cough or sneeze and eventually had to go and tell them to be quiet myself as the staff member on duty was sleeping and didn’t do it. Oftentimes staff were not around to contact or try to communicate with and I often found them sleeping in one of the empty guest rooms. Breakfast was poor. You were supposed to order the pho the night before but come night time there was no one around to order from. A couple of times I wrote my order down and placed it on their unattended desk. Another morning they completely forgot to order it and another morning gave me the wrong thing. Unimpressed!

What, 4 stars?”
Exceptionally old and dirty hotel. Shower was rusty, sink faucet was unusably short, furniture and electrical are probably older than me, balcony door handle was plain broken (they also promised to fix it “tomorrow” on the first day, guess what, tomorrow never came), ... I can go on forever. Passable breakfast, stuff is rather nice, but then again, most Vietnamese people are. If it ever was a solid 4 star hotel, that was a long, long time ago.

Lovely apartment in Mui Ne / Ham Tien”
My girlfriend and I recently visited Vietnam and stayed in Shades Resort, based on the Trip Advisor reviews. Overall we would recommend this if you decide to go to Mui Ne (although we'd perhaps give it a miss - we didn't go to the Red or White Dunes in the end as we've been to bigger deserts elsewhere, and we could see the fishing boats without taking a tour). Pros: Room was lovely - big, clean, hot tub, could hear waves crashing... Staff were very friendly (like in all Vietnam!), in particular they arranged for our train tickets back to be bought and a trusted taxi to take us to the station. Breakfast was great. Cons: Note they do not serve meals other than breakfast. Location - although it is on the main strip, it is a little tricky to find (our taxi drove past initially) and the eateries nearby aren't very good - particularly by Vietnamese standards. In fact the main road through Mui Ne / Ham Tien isn't very nice to walk on at all...

Enjoyed time in Mui Ne”
I stayed 3 nights in Shades and all the staff are nice and english friendly. They are very initiative to help. Breakfast is not very fancy but nothing to complain including nice vietnamese coffee with ocean view. I especially enjoyed time in the pool. The room is very clean full with aroma and amenities are good with nice fragrance. I highly recommend this resort to anyone who is in budget or wants to spend quiet time in Mui Ne.
