A Serene Vacation”
Me and my daughter enjoyed our stay at Sherwood. The owner is really kind and accommodating. Same as the staff. The room is clean and big. The place is huge also and the view from the pool is fantastic! I will surely come back there on our next visit in Bohol.

BEST OF EVERYTHING! ”
This resort was very calm and peaceful. It really felt like a vacation indeed. The staff, and the owner were very hands-on during our stay. They made sure that everything was in order and made us feel at home and confortable. The place was well-maintained and very clean!! 100% will recommend and go back again soon!

Lovely Hostess and beautiful resort ”
View is breathtaking and room great. The pool is geared for divers at one end. There is a basketball court and parking is fantastic. There is access to the ocean. It is a bit of a trek but there are plenty of signage to get you there. Google maps tries to turn you early into a private residence so google lies like Facebook 😎

Very relaxing and comfortable place”
Very relaxing and comfortable place. The location although is far from the red light district and to Alona Beach. Nonetheless, they have a very comfortable and cozy rooms, toilets etc...

Recycled coffee”
Owner of the resorts was pretty cheap. They’re serving a recycled coffee for breakfast. Coffee tasted like water. They will give you good service if you’re a foreigner. If you’re local they’ll give you a recycled food. They will give you a WiFi access for 10-15 mins a day only. My family paid for 3 nights and checked out after 2 nights due to bad services. They will give you WiFi access at the end of your stay. We wasted money at this resort. I will not recommend this resort to everyone.

Disappointing, very very unhappy”
totally non negotiable, have tried to cancel the booking after noticed the very bad location, not even stay for a night, but, they insisted that charged for the 2 rooms x 3 nights, amounting to Peso ~23,000. (USD460)

Highly recommended hotel on an amazing island”
We stayed for 4 nights in the Sherwood Bay Aqua Resort and Dive School. Booking is including transport from the airport, but from the boat terminal can also be arranged (if you come with the boat from Cebu for example). We were welcomed by the owner of the hotel (former British) and it felt like a cozy family hotel. Rooms don't have numbers, but names of flowers. We stayed in 6 hotels in the Philippines (incl. Marco Polo), but this one stood out from the other hotels on nearly all areas. The good things: - Rooms are big, the bed is enormous, the furniture is modern, the bathroom includes a shower and a bathtub. We had a room with a balcony, with an amazing view on the ocean. - Rooms are more clean than European standard for Hotels. - The hotel has 10-15 rooms and is located out of town, so it is a very nice place to enjoy the piece/silence. - The food is very reasonably priced and of very good quality. There is a decent amount of choice and all dishes are made of good quality ingredients. The cook ain't the fastest, but if we want fastfood we would go to Mac Donalds instead. - The hotel offers tours and diving at very reasonable prices. For about 60 euro (3000 PHP) we toured through Bohol, which is an amazing island, with a private car with airco and driver for 6 hours. Another tour we did was dolphin watching and island hopping (with the possibility to do snorkling in an amazing area). We had a big boat (for easily up to 15 people), a captain and a seaman for 12 hours for 120 euro (6000 PHP) which is a standard price for the tour that can be shared with multiple groups. If you consider that the boat already uses about 60l of fuel, you realize that this is a very reasonable price. - The price/quality rate is very, very good. - Last but not at least: the people are very friendly, they know who you are, you are not a 'number' to them.

Sherwood Bay Aqua Resort & Dive School”
The Sherwood Bay Aqua Resort & Dive School has a great location the give you easy access to the ocean and the dive boat and other water sport or relaxation. Its location is away from the traffic and you get a chance to see local neighbourhoods too and from Sherwood Bay. It does not take long to get to the night life or major shopping malls if your whith family or as Honeymooners to just people who love being able to say hi to everyone, its easy. Great staff, great location, great price,Great stuff to the Sherwood Bay Aqua Resort staff and owners I enjoyed my time there.

Quiet, Comfortable and Delightful”
Sherwood Bay offered and very delightful stay for our family of four. We had a two room suite with one very large bath. The staff was very friendly and kind. The owner, Enid, was very gracious and looked after our needs as though we were the only ones in her resort. The resort is a little out of the way, but that was good; it was a very quiet location on the Strait. Sherwood Bay looked like a small European hotel: quaint and relaxing. I only have two suggestions: bring mosquito repellant (they come out from 5-6p) and, if you like fluffily pillows, bring one. The pillows were pretty flat. Thank you, Sherwood Bay Resorts for a wonderful family vacation!

Very nice 3++hotel”
Sherwood Bay is a very nice out-of the way hotel excellent for a quiet retreat or honeymooning. The pool is of modest size with a bubble pool at the shallow end. It is overlooking the sea, but not a good place for snorkeling or diving-special arrangements needed for that. Reception and staff is efficient, courteous, and prompt. The location is isolated: no public transportation available, but transport is available through the office, for a price. For peace and quiet, Sherwood Bay. For "action" diving, snorkeling, beaches go to the Alona Beach area. Food at Sherwood Bay is very good. There is an added 5% charge if you pay by credit card.

Absolutely wonderful! We were treated like royalty”
Resort owners Enid & Lisa took care of us as if we were family. The staff and chef were excellent and the room was clean and nice with a beautiful view of the sea. My wife and I enjoyed the swimming pool as well, again with a great view. All the guests seemed very happy there as well. The grounds were very clean and well attended. Lisa also helped us plan an unforgettable day-trip around the island. Secluded, yet with access to a driver at anytime, we felt like we could come and go as we please, although it was so nice we spent a lot of time on the property walking and just enjoying the beautiful and scenic location. I have traveled extensively, and I can honestly say that when we left, we left not just a resort, but a set of new friends as well. Sherwood Bay Resort will definitely see us again in the near future, as the experience we had is worth repeating.

Beautiful escape from the beach crowd”
Sherwood is off the beaten path from the typical beach side of Panglao Island, Bohol. It's on the northern part of the island, so it doesn't have a beach front. To some, this may be a disadvantage but if you prefer an escape from the beach crowd, this would be perfect. And if you plan to visit the many other attractions of Bohol, staying here would be good for those nights. The resort is stunning amidst the simplicity of the environment, with a hillside view of the calm sea. The resort's owner personally takes care of the guests' needs, and this adds a quaint touch to Sherwood's intimate ambience. There are only a few rooms here, and I suggest you book the Bougainvillea room for a balcony view of the pool and the beautiful sea. This room also has a nicely huge bathroom with its very own jacuzzi, and the room itself is quite large enough for a family of 4-5, with ample space for moving around. There is access to the sea, but this is more for accessing the boats or a bit of snorkeling. If you prefer having a beach front, then this might not be the place for you.

Japanese hospitality on Panglao Island”
Lisa and her mom run a very friendly, clean, and customer-centered resort. Transport to and from the airport was provided and upon check-in, we were consulted for what we would like to see and do we could choose from a menu of options. Because I wanted to go snorkeling, Lisa arranged all-day boat transport from the hotel to Balicasag Island and equipment rental and this was very reasonably priced. I also wanted a white sand beach and Lisa arranged for transport for this as well (at Bohol Beach Club, which has a public access beach). Rooms are clean, spacious and new. Everything worked well. Japanese visitors will enjoy staying here as both Lisa (who is Japanese) and her mom speak Japanese fluently. The food at the restaurant is very good and reasonably priced, and breakfast is included in the stay. Free WiFi in the restaurant as well. I really enjoyed my stay here and will be recommending to my friends, especially my Japanese friends.

Great Hotel and Awesome Service”
it was relaxing to stay at sherwood bay and lisa, the owner and manager of the resort was always willing to help. tours were a bit pricey but the place itself was worth it. breakfast meals included were really good and although the hotel was not situated on a beach, they had direct access to the ocean. i'd definitely recommend this to friends.
