Comfortable, happy, chilled”
I visited Koh Samed with a couple of friends for a long weekend, and stayed at Smile Samed 2 nights. Its clean, and a good walking distance to the beach, plus its near lots of cool shops on the main strip. Its tucked away, so you don't get bothered by the beach noise pollution, the staff are really friendly and the room is comfortable. Absolutely no bad points at all! Two other friends of mine stayed nearer the beach, and got a much less nice room for 4x the price. I highly recommend this hotel!

Great guesthouse, in the village”
Koh Samet has many overpriced, unfriendly guesthouses on the beach. I like to stay in the village. 7 Min. Walk to the beach. Food, accomodation and local life is better in the village. The Smile guesthouse is the best. In have tried many over 20 years. But recommend Smile. More comfort for much less money. Friendly Ness is still real and natural.

Nice little budget hotel. ”
Very clean room. Hotel wasn't right on the beach but it is only 5-10 mins walk. We checked accommodation down the beach and for the same price the rooms are horrendous. Room is close to the cheaper food downtown. Great if you are on a budget. Staff were very nice. They even called somebody in to fix our hot water immediately at 10 pm when it stopped working! We were very appreciative of this

Central location, in town, but near the beach!”
I have stayed at Smile Samed House a couple of times now. The hotel is located on a side street, off the main road to the beach. Its about a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel to the main beach or you can take a short cut across the near Buddhist temple grounds to gain access to the main beach. Hotel furnishings are a bit dated but everything is clean. Fresh, linen and bottled water is provided every day. However, sometimes you have to remind the staff to clean your room! There is a TV but no english channels, however occasionally there may be some english news, programs. There are lots of place to eat near the hotel, right out side your door or on the main road. The staff speaks limited english but are very helpful. You can book all your sight seeing trips directly from the hotel.

Smile Samed House is quite ok, staff's nice too!”
Smile Samed House is situated in a quiet street close to the main street, nice staff! room's ok! I think the owner is really nice and fun to talk with. She is always busy, but I think she's running her bizness quite well. The room is not the most luxury room ever, but you get what you pay for. In the end it was all clean and tidy. I enjoyed my room being a corner room, so I had like lot's of light (windows) and a cool view over a part of Samed (lake, temple etc) You can also enjoy the balcony, which is really nice. So all and all, I had a good time @Smile Samed House and I would like to wish them all the best and good luck traveling the world haha! ;)

It' very interesting to enjoy here”
we have great time at this hotel. Friengly and helpful staff. It 's valuable for money if you want to have a budget trip in Koh Samed. However the way to the Hotel is wet and have mugs in rainny days. But it's ok with my trip.

Cute cheap clean room-exceptionally friendly staff”
It's a cute cheap and friendly hotel, very basic with a few sweet finishing touches. The location is great as its walking distance to the beach, resturants and bars but off the main road so quieter. We liked it here so booked another 3 nights but moved to an air con room as its all they had left...we paid a bit more, rooms were the same but we also got a fridge in the room.

Cheap price, Clean room and good location”
We stayed at Smile Samed just one night. It was pretty good guesthouse. The room is a bit small but clean, towels,soap,TV and 2 bottles of water included. Unfortunately TV in my room can't open. Smile Samed was located on good location that easy to find at the first time. 5 mins walk to the beach.

Everything include beach is waking distance. Well maintained guest house. Fridge and A/C (it might depend on rooms) are in the room. Free coffee at the lobby. WiFi is ok. Lovely staff and lovely Guest House.

Basic, good, guest house with great owners”
Stayed at Smile Samet for a week before Christmas. The room was very basic and the bed was extremely hard, but it served it's purpose. Felt the price was little high, but probably due to time of year. The owner was so lovely. She always made sure everyone was ok and provides clean towels every day. She can also can arrange everything, from boat trips to hiring a motorbike. She also runs a little shop over the road from the guest house so you can buy your supplies and even have a drink with them in the evening. Very warm hospitality.

relaxing stay on Koh Samet”
We booked it for 4 nights and than we decided to extend the stay for 4 more nights. Staff is very nice and everytime helpful. It is in the pier village center with good availability to the main Kaew beach with possibility to rent a motorbike or different kinds of trips reservation directly from reception.

Good location”
Location was good. Easy walking distance to the beach and the pier. The staff weren't always at the front desk, and didn't seem very approachable, but stay was pleasant enough. There were some small antsd in the room, which were also on the bed, which wasn't great. But overall not as bad stay. The cost was expensive for the room for Thailand but cheap for Koh Samet.

Clean, comfy, and close to the beach”
I walked form the pier to the hotel, and stopped to ask directions - a lady in a bar shouted and a girl appeared on a motorbike who took me and my luggage to the hotel for free (well, for a drink or two afterwards...). the people running the hotel are lovely, there is a good supply of towel, a book swap, and lovely air con. My friend and I stayed there as we wanted a little bit of luxery (i.e. not a dorm room in a hostel) but it was still pretty cheap. Recommended. The one warning though - you have to navigate round a large puddle in the road when walking from the beach!!

All okay here, no problems at all. Only paid 7 GBP a night, Nice clean and comfortable, I had an early check out only because I didn't like the island of Koh Samet.

i really enjoyed staying here. the hotel was nice and clean. the couple who own the hotel were very helpful and sweet. it was nice to have a mini fridge in the room as well as a huge flat screen tv. i have stayed at other places in the area but this was the overall best!

Just ok. ”
My stay was just ok. Nothing special with this place, and it was a bit far away from the beach. It is close to Samet center, but located in a side street. There was a big pond in the road on the way to the hotel, and with a suitcase it was difficult to get to the hotel without risking getting into the black water. Friendly staff and locals making my stay pleasant.

Perfectly comfortable”
This is a small guesthouse, five minute walk to Haad Sai Kaew (the most popular beach). I stayed for four nights. It's a good choice if you're on a budget and don't need to stay right on the beach. You can rent a motorbike and explore the island during the day. The guesthouse was everything I hoped for. Comfy bed, clean sheets, quiet air-con, fridge, a little table and quiet surrounds, though it's close to a lot of restaurants and bars. One night the locals played loud Thai music that you could hear inside the room, but only until around 9:00. The owner is really nice and it's good value for the money. I would definitely stay here again.
