Perfect break”
Third leg of out travels in Thailand. Needed a pool after to a moped accident as sea too hard to navigate with a foot injury. Couldn’t believe the price for this garden resort. No idea why more places don’t slash their prices during green season. The room was great, very large to accommodate 3 of us, air con and a fridge with small freezer: great pool and short walk to the beach. Staff very friendly and helpful and definitely the best cocktails we had in three weeks. Very handy if you’re interested in visiting lanta animal welfare- we did every day! Just adopted a dog! I’d definitely return.

Very comfortable accommodation, highly recommend”
We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. So much so we extended our stay by a few nights. The rooms/huts are so nice. Modern, clean and very comfortable. The beds are very soft and so snuggly! The huts overlook a lovely green lawn area and there is a very clean pool (probably the best we’ve been in whilst travelling SE Asia) with sun loungers. Location is excellent, at the bottom of Long Beach with only a 1 minute walk onto the beach. Staff are very friendly. They also rent scooters (250 baht p/d) and bicycles (150 baht p/d) which is great. Overall we’d definitely recommend staying here. The reason I put 4 rather than 5 stars though was a few things that could be improved on: - The biggest problem we had was with the laundry. It came back smelling SO bad. We had volunteered at the Lanta Animal Welfare organisation so our clothes smelt a little like dogs and cats, but when we got them back from the laundry service, they smelt much worse and a cheesy sort of smell too. This had rubbed off onto all the clothes we’d submitted (ones we hadn’t worn to LAW) and when we put them with the rest of our clothes, they all began to smell too. We would have spoken to the hotel directly about this at the time but when we realised the situation we were leaving so didn’t get the chance to let them rectify the situation. It seemed that they didn’t use enough soap at all. We’ve been travelling through SE Asia for 5 months and used countless laundry services and never had a problem like this before. - They didn’t clean our room at all in the week we were staying there, even though we put on the “please clean our room sign”. Every day cleaners came in and made our beds but that was about all. When I asked for new towels they said I must go to reception to ask. - The dispensers of shower gel and shampoo they provide in the bathroom we’re constantly almost empty - they didn’t top them up. On the last day we had nothing. The liquid soap provided by the sink was about a quarter full a

great bed & helpful staff”
We stayed here for three nights. The room is clean and tidy. The patio outside the room is very nice. There’s screen window against mosquitoes which is great. The bed is super comfortable for western standards. Comparing to the one we stayed after that, we missed soontreeya’s bed. The staff were very helpful with everything. I missed breakfast time once, they still tried to offer me some fruit plate and juice. We left a computer chord in the room. The staff managed to find for us. There are two friendly cats in the resort, always chilling on the path. The location is inside a narrow valley, if you ride a scooter, be aware of some bumpy parts,can be a bit rough. In all, a lovely stay. I’d recommend to other people.

Beautiful place and affordable during off season. Clean and enough space. Would be good if a kettle was provided too and the restaurant boss more kind. But other than that. Very good for the price.

Great stay here! Walking distance to the main road and the beach which was handy. It was easy to rent a bike from front desk and really affordable. Nice and peaceful location with a great pool.

Lovely bungalow with pool and beach access 2 mins walking distance ”
The bungalow had a porch and a giant king bed. The aircon worked great. Only thing was breakfast wasn’t included so the standard price for a small plate with coffee was $5. Not a big deal as there are close by places to eat. Our mini fridge never got cold but again not a dealbreaker, just wanted a spot to keep my almond milk cold. :)

Clean, very smooth bed, very old broken windows”
At first sight the room looked pretty awesome. At the end, one of the door of the closet was nearly broken, fan so badly fixed into the wall that it falled down and broke, there were uge holes in windows frame so it could have break if we would have opened it... Swimming pool was really nice, and the beach to watch the sunset is very close !

Great atmosphere”
We spent 3 nights at Soontreeya Lanta. Room was big and comfy, wifi was good and there is a nice swimming pool. The location is not ideal with not much nearby, not much interesting within walking distance and a rather rocky beach that is not good for swimming. Most organized travel will refuse to drive all the way to the hotel so you’ll be left having to walk to the Main Street with you luggages which might be difficult for some. Breakfast was good but service very inconsistent as you never knew the exact time the staff would decide to show up in the morning. On the brighter side, they have pool parties on some days, with live music and a DJ and the atmosphere was fun, even with/for our 8 years old.

Nice Property on Long Beach ”
This was a nice spot at the end of Long Beach. There were some bars and restaurants close by on the beach but unfortunately no where to lounge by the ocean. The pool was lovely though and they had a live band and a small swim up bar. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was basic but tasty. Overall we had a very nice stay here.

Very friendly and helpfull Staff. The only thing i could complain was a Ant problem in the Bathroom which got to a point that i wouldnt stay in the room for another night if it wasnt resolved. The day we left it was really bad. In the other room we stayed before we didnt have that Problem. Hopefully they resolve it.

It was a great stay the rooms are lovely, and they are in a great location. It was a little hard to find the hotel at first. I would also recommend getting your motorbike from somewhere else, they charged way too much. So we went to another place. The staff was very friendly and helpful. however, the air conditioner wasn't working properly, so it was really stuffy in our room. Otherwise, it was a great experience.

Booked 7 days in. Standard bungalow. Pictures must have been a while ago. The standard bungalows are in need of a bit of TLC. That being said, the bed was comfortable, A/C was functional and the shower was spacious and had hot water. Pool area was nice and the Thai food at the pool restaurant was excellent. The resort is a 3 -5 minute walk from the beach but you will need to walk a bit further to have access to the swimmable part. There’s a few food restaurants on the beach itself. Sunsets at the Korner Bar are a must. Restaurant behind the Korner is also a must - excellent Thai food.

A nice place to relax with green area in the middle of bungalows and palm trees. The swimming pool is always a bonus but does need some cleaning/TLC around the pool. Room was ok, a very big comfortable bed. It rained very hard one night and the roof did leak. The laminate foor was ruined by this leak so not ideal.

Big potential, lot to improve”
Very nicely located, nice garden. Quiet and close to beach (end of the long beach, 5min walk to proper part). Compared to other places we stayed in koh lanta was rather expensive for what you get. The feel we got ja that it needs some work and maintenace. The bathroom was dirty when we checkd in. The matresses on the pool were dirty and moldy, wet from the rain. The bed was ultra soft, too soft for us. There are emoty spacer between windows, so prepare for some Bugs. We also have a huge cockroach and lizard in bathroom Cleaning only every 3day. No free Waters or tea/coffe, that was first time durning our 30days in se Asia. Prices for scooter renting and laundry higher than standard in area.

Nice enough but could do with a bit more tender loving care perhaps. The pool area especially was a bit run down. The sun loungers should be cleaned... no excuses for that really.
