Great Location, value for money, good room”
I have been to Hue a number of times and stayed in a number of different Hotels. I knew of Sports 1 Hotel from last visit when I took note of its good position and looked clean. We stayed here on this stay and I was pleasantly surprised with the size of the large room and balcony. The price was great and worth it. The staff spoke english and we arranged our tour through them. The breakfast was good for Vietnam standards. I will stay here again definately.

In the heart of the action and great value”
I have stayed at Sports 1 Hotel previously and found it's location and value great. This visit was even better! The hotel has changed name to Beaulieu Boutique Hotel and the renovations are great. All tastefully completed and very clean. Located on popular Pham Ngu Laos Street you won't need to walk for drinks or food. The Citadel is within walking distance (approx 2kms) or short taxi ride. The staff are lovely and are wanting to please. I will continue to come back to this hotel when I'm in Hue.

Warm Hotel”
This is my second hotel in Hue, I stayed there for 3 days. This hotel has a clean lobby and elevator, friendly staff with shining smile. The room is so so but good for this price. The aircon is old but can generate heat. (I visited other hotels, at this price, most of their aircon can only make coldness) The hot water in bathroom is also very hot. And there's a table I can put my notebook. Though no kettle in room, I can go to the lobby to enjoy free coffee and tea. (the coffee is not good) I passed two coldest night here, (12C, in this tropical country) The only bad thing is that there're bars on the street, making great noises at night(Disco). And the hue of the room is dark, I wish if could be lighter. Wifi is not stable, didn't work sometimes. This hotel can accept Unionpay card, that' good. I ever moved to another hotel on the 3rd day, but after finding their aicon can not generate heat, I went back here. (But I had to moved to another hotel with heater without noise at night on the 4th day.)

We have thoroughly enjoyed our 11day stay at Sports 1 Hotel in Hue. We have travelled through South-East Asia for a total of 16 months during the last five years and, value for money, this is the best hotel we have encountered so far. The reason is quite simple: the staff are superb.

Excellent location and very friendly staff”
I stayed at Sports 1 hotel for a little under a month while working at a local hospital down the road. On arrival, the staff was very friendly, and they remained so throughout my stay. They speak English pretty well, which is an essential when travelling throughout Vietnam. Although the prices of services they offered were slightly higher than what you would get at a local travel agency for example, this is expected as they are mainly a hotel not a travel agency. I could always rely on them to help me get around, find the correct services, fix any internet problems I may have, borrow a helmet to ride a motorbike, etc. Rooms were very clean and were cleaned everyday by the very friendly cleaning staff. I did begin to have problems with ants towards the end of my stay, but never saw any mice, rats, or other insects. The only con about the hotel is that it is a bit pricy in comparison to other hotels in the area. I would try to get a better deal than what you can find online, as with everything in Vietnam. Also, they sometimes do not serve breakfast in the morning because of lower occupancy or holidays. Ask about this when checking in. Otherwise, I had a wonderful experience and would stay there again.

Spacious, clean rooms. We had a room with a king size single and queen bed. Toiletries in the room but no safe. Breakfast was very good - fruits, bread, jam, rice, stirfry, steam buns, banana fritters, sweet cakes, pork & taro cakes, tea, coffee etc. Free internet in the foyer. The hotel is in a great location (although if you can't sleep with street noise, never book a room facing the street anywhere in Vietnam). Laundry US$1.50 per KG. I had made an error with the dates when booking our room and arrived one day later than they had expected...absolutely no trouble and no penalty charge. We also arrived early on the overnight train from Hanoi and were able to check in immediately...no questions asked, thanks to the lovely young lady at reception. The staff are very freindly, especially Long, a young man who made our stay memorable with his willingness to help and pleasant conversations. The hotel is surrounded by great places to eat, although having said that, I have never had a bad meal in Vietnam: Thao Nghyen Canteen - Across the road and a couple of doors to the left. VND80.000 for a meal and drink for 2 people. Try the Nem Nuong...yum! See photos. Why Not Bar - cross the road, turn left and walk to the corner. Lots of travellers and great food and staff. VND460.000 for 3 dishes, 4 beers and 4 wines. They offer western and Vietnamese dishes. Try the beef in betel leaf! Tours: At the T Junction across from the Why Not Bar, you might find Duc. Duc and his friend took us on a city tour for the afternoon and also rode me and my husband to Hoi An, which took about 6 hours. Safely all the way, stopping for some sightseeing and comfort breaks along the way. It was a great day, they really looked after us and for a very reasonable price. The rickshaw drivers also hang out just near the entrance of the hotel if you are looking for something to do after

Good hotel for the budget minded”
The Sports Hotel in Hue is an excellent choice for the those with limited resources ..However the standard of the room and the service was relatively good. Some aspects could be a concern for travellers such as late hour noises and the lack of a window view.

Good choice if you want central location”
Sports Hotel is in perfect location for restaurants and bars of Hue. Many choices for restaurants in the same street. Breakfast was fairly basic but for the price couldn't expect much more. Staff were always pleasant and helpful. Used them to book a day tour and a train ticket back to Danang. They did charge a little bit more commission for the train ticket than I expected. I would definately stay there again.

Friendly small hotel in a good location”
The Sports 1 Hotel is really good value, it isn't modern but it has a friendly family feel, my only discomfort was the other guests a large group who shouted at each other in the corridors, but that is not the hotel's fault. It's very easy to walk everywhere you need to go form the hotel and although they do offer tours they are not heavy handed about selling them to you and give you lots of useful information about where to go and what to see in Hue. It is a small hotel and the breakfast space is limited.

I had a wonderful stay at Sports 1 Hotel. The staff was very friendly and my room was very comfortable. I had a nice balcony outside my room where I could sit and look out onto the street. I had a lot of fun doing a cooking class there one morning. I had a great experience and I would highly recommend this hotel.

Great Value in Hue”
You would be hard pressed to find better value in Hue, in fact in all Vietnam. We spent 2 nights there after staying at 3 other budget hotels in vietnam, so we haveve some idea of prices and expectations. I would stay in this hotel again in my next visit to Hue.

We had a comfortable stay at sports 1 hotel - we had a double bed each, which was a treat! The location is fantastic, in the heart of tourist street. A short walk from the citadel. The shower was weak and there was a slight ant problem - but we found the source and sprayed a ton of DEET on it and that problem was solved. Would recommend this hotel.

Great Hotel with beautiful rooms”
I can say this is the best choice among the 3 hotels we rented in Hoi An, Hue, Da Nang. The room is spacious,and well-decoration. Location is very near Trang Tien bridge where has the night market with a lot of cheap stuffs and foods. The only weakness is the breakfast, just a very simple with limited choices.

We had a lovely stay in Hue. The hotel was great. Close to all major attractions and very easily walkable to everything. On the same road as all the best restaurants in town. La Carambole is one of the beat restaurants we have eaten in, travelling round SE Asia.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Sports Hotel, the room was massive with 2 double beds and really it was too big for us. Shower was great! The staff were very friendly and attentive, more than happy to answer any questions. They looked after our bike once we had arrived. Breakfast was included and was delicious, choice of a few things on the menu - we had the omelette with a fresh baguette and coffee. As the weather was pretty terrible we only took a short walk around, heaps of restaurants in the street, a convenience store next door and plenty of clothes/shoes/bag shops too. My only issue is that there was no heating in the room and it was pretty cold, but luckily the blankets from both beds sufficed. Would definitely recommend for others.

There is many tourist from western or foreigner stay at this hotel and they are much so friendly and nice. It very worth for money and definitely will consider stay back to this hotel again if there is no better hotel option. I recommend this hotel to solo traveler, backpackers or couple, it must be a great stay along the vacation and there is a tourist information counter that you can get information or purchase some package from them. this was our second stay at sports 1 hotel we enjoyd our first stay there three years ago and it is located right in the retaurant area and within walking distance to the river where they have night markets and the citadel. location is also handy for shopping.
