Epic hostel!”
I’ve stayed in a few hostels before, and this is one of the best value for money! Free WiFi & laundry, hot showers, great location and super friendly staff. The beds are comfy but the only downside was no kitchen to cook your own food. Apart from that, it was exactly what was needed :) Thanks for having me!

the best place and affordable price”
it just located in front of the train station, mall and many intersting places. they provide lift, which is very helpful. free laundry and comunal room which is very helpful. this place is the best place for a solo traveler like. me. but get ready if there is a booking group, just get ready to removed your bag, suitcase to another romm. because a guest was complaining because he was removed to my room because of schoolies booking group.

solo traveller ”
it's convenient for its location. facility access is not very user friendly as there isnt a basin in the pantry area, would love to see improvements on this. Other than that, the stay is pretty pleasant if youre looking for experiences

Absolute basic value for money stay in 5* location”
If you're a solo traveller and have an early morning train, the location couldn't be better. And who can argue with a bed for the night for £11. Yes it's basic, yes it's in cramped dorms, but I really didn't need anything more as all I wanted to do there was sleep. Also shoutout to exceptionally helpful front desk staff.

Value for money I guess”
Best location and just across Waverley station and very near the airport bus and tram stops, literally central location to the spots you want to visit in the city. Not had the chance to get a proper social feel to it due to circumstances beyond their control, so it was kind of dead when I went. It was the first time I experienced a three-bunk bed and I can't say I'm a fan. Also, the ensuite bathroom wasn't the best. The staff weren't cleaning it properly and it needed to be updated. 12 people sharing one bathroom was tough. Also the shower drainage was clogged and wasn't cleaned properly during my stay that taking a shower meant you kind of stand in a pool of your and the previous person's dirt. Even the public toilet wasn't the best. The reception staff were great though and they'd let us leave bags in the common room even before checkin and after checkout. Discount on bar drinks and food were great too.

Great Location”
The location is great. 2 mins walk from Waverley station. The lift is very old and often not in service. If you are bringing suitcases with you, you might need to carry them up and down the stairs by yourself. There is a laundry room which is free of charge, you can buy washing capsules at the front desk, but the laundry wasn’t very clean. Cheap locker service, a 29 inches suitcase can fit into a large locker which cost £2.5 a day/ £0.5 per hour. The staffs are very friendly.

Not recommended”
I had a very unpleasant experience with this hotel. I stayed there for 2 nights in the female dorm. The second day I noticed my bedsheet was changed even though I closed the bed curtain as I kept some of my stuff on the bed. (Obviously after cleaning, the housekeeper should put back my stuff where it belongs but instead I lost some of my clothes, towel and my Apple Watch charger.) my friend’s bed was not touched even though her bed is at the bottom. Mind U mine is at the very top (3rd level). I reported it to the reception staff, they messaged in their group chat about it but no feedback from the housekeeper until I leave the place the next day. I even left my phone number at the reception to contact me for any info but I didn’t receive any call until today. On the day I lost my stuff, a new traveler told me she couldn’t open the door from outside when she arrive. After few attempts, suddenly someone open the door from the inside. And it was the cleaner. Why would they lock the door from inside while cleaning the room? Something is really fishy. I don’t recommend this place at all.

No sleep!!”
So the price was right but the place was not. Most of the satff were great so thank you for that. It's an older facility which is fine I need only a place to lay my head to sleep, unfortunately this is not that place. On the 4th floor bed near the door could hear every single thing going on all night long the doors slam each and everytime nothing you can do to stop it. Older style meant no privacy which is fine but no where to adequately change or do anything when assigned topbunk. Beds are extremely noisy getting up and down will wake the whole room up. Got up on the middle of the night to use the toilet and got locked out of my which woke another one up cuz the door was beeping madly they were also then locked out. Thankfully we were able to wake the other person up to let us in and beeing finally stopped after about 30 min . The location was fantastic Central to everything and super close to transportation. This is the 4th st.christophers inn I've stayed at so compares to those this is one star ⭐. :( Sorry.

a very recomended place to stay, a hostel with a lift ”
The ocation just beside twaverley station, 2 min from royal mile,5 min from edinburgh castel, and the fare also good for a solo traveler like me. Room is organized nicely, bathroom is very clran, the staff is very helpfull, and you it has lift, so need to drag your heavy lugage through the painful stairs. I will stay here longer if I visit Edinburgh.

Best Value & Location”
Location is unbeatable, right next to the Waverley & Central between old town & new town. I got the double ensuite with the best view oversee the station & Princes Street and with most reasonable price during my stay (+30£). The Inn has the lift for heavy baggage travelers, Breakfast is good & free if booking direct. Highly recommended

Had to travel from Edinburgh early in the morning, so just wanted somewhere to be until 4am, and this was great for the purpose - forgot my purse at the bar/check in are, but staff had put it aside for me, so great staff as well!
