I love the location that so close to CMU and main street behind the university. There are many stores, restaurants, and food stalls around. The room and bed are cozy. There's a locker, light, socket and curtain at each bed. Everything was excellent and worth my money.

Best natural environment near Chiangmai University. Love the feeling of heritage atmosphere of the place.

Actually just loved this place, best hostel I've been to. All personel were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was incredible. I was there during Loi Krathong and they (the personel) tought me how to do a Krathong and invited me to have dinner with them. Only reason you wouldn't stay here is if your intrest in Chiang Mai is to party in the Old Town. Otherwise I'd say you get a more "real" feeling of Chiang Mai seeing as you're outside the touristy areas. Hostel is right next to university and the university market. Grab to oldtown cost about 100 baht

I only booked for 2 nights thinking I may find another hostel closer to the party scene. I ended up staying the whole week because the staff (family-owned) did everything possible to help me have a great time as a solo traveller in Chiang Mai. The owner's wife even drove me to the market when she saw me walking on the street so I wouldnt get wet. I did not ask her too... she offered :) breakfast in the morning isn't your standard crappy toast and jam breakfast but rather a hearty Thai rice/noodle or soup option that changes everyday. The 4-person room I stayed in wasn't tiny and locker provided with key so no personal lock requires. Key pass entry so you can come back from late night without being locked out of hostel. The living quarters/showers/restrooms are cleaned daily. Laundry/Dryer for 100 baht paid on honor system because they trust their guests. Located near the end of Suthep so its much quieter but a short (And Cheap) Grab/Uber ride from old city and airport. Would definitely recommend for people wanting peace, quiet, safe, clean and friendly place. 2 delicious restaurants, and 2 coffee shops less than 30 second walk awah. 3 min walk to nearest 7-11. We stayed here 5 nights on vacation and we found it to be a perfect middle ground as Nimman and Old town are conveniently close to this place. The room is clean and spacious, we enjoyed being able to make coffee that was provided every morning and sit on the balcony. Some people may find the proximity to the airport concerning, but we found that it was not loud enough to bother us and planes did not take off in the middle of the night. Overall, I highly recommend this place to anyone.

We had already spent 7 nights in the old city of Chiang Mai; we had just rented a car at the airport; we wanted a place outside of the busy part of town, knowing our next destination would be Inthanon National Park. KM proved to be a great choice. It is not impressive from the outside (a building without charm to say the least), but it looks and feels brand new in the inside. Our room was super clean and comfortable with an excellent wifi connection. There is no breakfast provided on site (just a selection of coffee, tea, chocolate and cookies in the lobby), but there is a little place on the other side of the street that seems to have ‘teamed-up’ with KM and provides food at a reasonable price. There is also an interesting ‘eat all you can’ hot pot restaurant only a stone away (2-wheels or car recommended though). All in all, the accommodation and its the location (very quiet which was appreciated after our busy and noisy nights in town) were perfect at this point o

Like it very much. 5 min on motorcycle to Suthep Road (back of CMU) for CHEAP, CHEAP FOOD, value for money supermarkets, university co-op shop, doctors, and cafes. Area caters to students, so prices are low. Directly opposite the Doi Suthep non-hunting Nature Reserve, you can hike in the forest trails, bump into buffalo and deer... Couple of temples around the area too. A few nicely-hidden cafes around the alleys in the immediate area, watch for the small posted signs on the electricity poles always. A touristy morning market has been set up just recently in the direction of Yellow Mango landmark

This affordable accomodation is best for those who are in town to explore Chiangmai and just needs a roof on their heads at night. It is easily accessible from the airport. Lots of cheap food stalls just a stone's throw away from the building. It's clean and safe enought.👍🏼

We were pleasantly surprised by the spacious rooms and courteous service. Amenities like bathrobes, hair dryer and mini-bar were a nice plus. Concierge gave us great directions to the Chiang Mai U post office, walking trip to Wat U Mong and Big C (nearby by red pick-up taxi). Laundry charge pretty hefty (which would be expected for a conference-type hotel like this)--you can get similar services in lane behind hotel. Also, village market in lane behind hotel, and two Wats nearby. To the right of hotel, down Canal Road is a Book Republic, book shop and cafe. Down that lane are small, family run restaurants and some bars. Friendly service around there. Overall, while the hotel is not centrally located, we liked the quiet and proximity to a big Wat and a nearby village. We loved our stay here.

I stayed here for 2 weeks for my internship at Chiang Mai Night Safari. This place is so comfortable and homey. Breakfast was toast, jam, instant coffee and milo. There is a microwave and water dispenser. They gave free tickets to visit the royal rajapruek garden which is a MUST-go (it is just right beside this place). But, there is nothing nearby. No convenient store, no night market, no songthew and it is far away from the city center. But, surprisingly the Uber works quite fine for us, cheap too.

Large room with amenities and wonderful hot shower. Helpful, polite staff. The location depends on your interests. I stayed in hotel as a transition from airport arrival to lodging in old city of Chiang Mai.

Hard to find this hotel, no public transport and hard find taxi after check out you must walking to main street around 300m. Receptionist not always standby, wifi okay good connection, cable tv choice.

Third time at Sinthana in recent memory. The staff is always kind and friendly, and the breakfast is tasty. The location is great for those looking to stay a bit away from the old city. The accommodations might feel more akin to a serviced apartment to someone looking for a bit more luxury or pampering. But for those looking for a homey and local feel for an extended stay, Sinthana provides an affordable option. Best for young travelers on a budget or those intending to stay somewhat long-term.

The place is tugged away from the main street so it isn't noisy from the road at all. The best part is it is surrounded by the local food places. Also, staff are really friendly. Would come back again :)

I first booked here for two nights just to get out from Chang Mai city but as soon as we get to the hotel I just felt in love with the place it’s cool and clean they decor is very unique staffs here are very helpful and friendly, they don’t have much breakfast or dinner choice because the place is surrounded by many modern and local cafes ,restaurants , 7/11 and market the hotel providing all guests with bikes to riding around to checkout what around. I highly recommend.

I really love this place because his house is so beautiful and I love authentic house but its location is hard to find on google maps. The room is very clean and the staffs are very polite and very nice. Thank you for kindly taking care of us. My family and me will get back again. The price is not expensive if compare with the other hotel. The other has only one room and breakfast but this resort has swimming pool and wide parking.

I booked the loft room with a cool bunkbed for 3 ppl, the room is very clean with lovely decoration. It's convenient to travel to the center of the city with the red car, also you can easily find good restaurants and street foods around the hotel. Most of all the owner is very friendly. Recommend!

I wanted something different for my vacation with my family and found this homestay. It is one of the best choice I made. I feel so happy with my decision. This homestay has unique decoration (quite vintage). It made me feel warm likes stay at your home. Location wise, you may need a car if you want to go the city but there is many attractive places around which you could get there by bicycle. Value for money for me

Deciding at the last minute to book a cheap room for a few days in Chiang Mai during Loy Kratong, the choice was very limited and we thought Stars Hill looked like a clean, new, reasonably priced condo. Unfortunately pictures show the best rooms, and not the actual condition in which we found our room. The apartment we got smelled like mold and a chunk of wallpaper was ripped off the wall. The second day we asked to move to another room because we couldn't stand the smell anymore. The second room was dirty in less obvious places, had a few spiders and a huge spidernet in a corner. Also, one light in the bathroom was broken and they gave us two single duvets instead of a double one. It also smelled moldy but less than the first one, and the WiFi worked while it didn't in the first room. We've never been happier to leave an hotel.

Lovely spotlessly clean hotel. Nice rooms and nice staff but YOU NEED A CAR. It’s isolated on the highway and taxis need to be booked to get into Nimman and it’s about a 20 minute wait and 200thb each time. Pool is small with no chairs or shade. If you have a vehicle it’s great, but I relocated to sakulchai place after 1 night due to the location only even though I had booked and paid for 4 nights. As I say though, only issue was location but if you have vehicle it’s great.

My stay was very relaxing and comfortable. I think E-outfitting Doikham is the best Hotel in Chiangmai like 5 stars hotel,clean room,excellent service, best location. I would have wedding ceramony ,Must come again.

NEARBY AIRPORT BUT NOT A GOOD CHOICE TO THAT TRAVELLER DON'T HAVE TRANSPORT QUITE FAR FROM CITY. BUT I LOVE THIS HOTEL VERY MUCH.

This place was the last minute booking which we didn't plan ahead. We were in the city center beforehand but we were not very happy with the environment with small room even the hotel had a good charm (our kids are 18 months old and 4 years old). When we arrived at Prat Rajapruek Resort and Spa, we loved the setting of the pool, resto, room with a big tub, staff and the amazing foods.....lots of green space, big tropical trees, super quiet, smiley staff, full meal warm and cold breakfast, etc. During our stay, we had a credit card fraud with one staff at the reception (never happened to this hotel before apparently), but when we checked out, the hotel owner took the responsibility and paid us the full amount of back in cash which we thought very loyal thing to do. The area which the hotel was in was having some cable line problems so we had several disconnections of the internet. But we will certainly be back here with more members. The hotel deserves many many stars.

The room was OK. Couple of complaints: 1) the entrance to the cabin is on an extended porch which you have to walk past the other attached cabin - so you walk past the window of the neighbour 2 the cabin is located in a forest - nice, but the side window has a view of a large water tank. 3) although the cabin is on the Night Safari property it is a bit of a walk to the entrance - 500 meters?

I was a wonderful memmory when staying at Lakeland Homestay. Even thought it was a little bit far from the center but we rent vehicles for traveling so it didn't a matter. All people there are so nice and helpful. They are always understanding what the customers want deeply. There are many kinds of rooms you can choose, and they are all nice, comfortable and well decorated. The enviroment arround is so good and quiet. They can also organize a day tour if you order.....In general....Lakeland Homestay is the best choice if you come to Chaingmai.

My stay at Loam was really great. I stayed there for around 2 weeks, as I had something to do in Chiang Mai - so I wasn't actually travelling. The room was very comfortable, very clean and convenient. If you don't like modern condominium rooms, this wooden house is just what is needed. Also, it has all the convenience that is needed - so one is not secluded or short of anything really. They clean the rooms every day, and serve breakfast every morning. The owner and his staff are super friendly and amazingly helpful with anything you need. They have been a great help for me in various situations. And they are just very genuine and it feels good to be there. Actually very homely when it come to the atmosphere: everyone seems relaxed, helpful, friendly, and very interested in you having a very good stay and time in Chiang Mai. And it doesn't feel fake at all. I will always go back when I am in Chiang Mai. Thanks a lot for everything!

Monkey house is not a hotel. You are invited into their beautiful villa and become instant friends. Amazing quality and service . All the food is incredible.
