Cheapest place you can find on the Island. Room without any window. Can hear throughout the night people snoring in next room. Mattresses so hard that the wiring hurts you. Even though we are not 'walk ins', nobody to meet you when you arrive and mainly help you to carry your bags 200 Mts away from reception. Nobody at reception! etc..etc.. Almost impossible two get 2 sunny side up eggs, had to go to the kitchen to show them..A real catastrophe compared to other Hotels on the Island! Hervé Barbezat (Lausanne Hotel School, inspector Intercontinental Hotels South East Asia & Pacific, Sheraton director..)

We booked and paid in full(big mistake) for a Ruan thai leelawadee room which had a very strong smell of dampness, dirty walls, one light hanging off the ceiling, the window in the bathroom had no netting to stop anything coming through only a big electrical cable. So we decided the best thing was to pay for an upgrade to a bungalow ( Orchid 6) which also had some mould coming through the ceiling, slippy tiles in the bathroom but for 2 nights was ok. The bed was big and comfortable but be careful! as one of the night shelfs extends at eye level right over the bed on one side. _Breakfast starts at 8am with no early provision, not like in other places.So if you are leaving on the early ferry dont pay it in advanced. _With a very young team in the reception area only one could understand english and was not very pleasant at times. _Nice little beach with sharp rocks at the edge of the water. Be very careful of the boat taxi service as they come in fast with no guide lane buoys.

Stinky area. Breakfast included toast and instantcoffee. But cleaningpersonal was good - the beach is nice, but there is no bar. Far away from excellent and you don’t get what you pay for.

Great location and comfortable rooms”
Suanya Koh Kood Resort consists of lovely two storey houses, with two separate rooms each, surrounded by nicely cultivated tropical vegetation. Our ground floor room was bright, comfortable and clean, with TV, air-condition and refrigerator. The bathroom seemed a bit damp but we changed for another room and it was perfect. Suanya has a 'spa' in the name but there is no spa service. There is, however, a beautiful private beach, beach bar and a restaurant with Wi-Fi, serving thai meals. I would recommend Suanya to all those, who are looking for a peaceful beach resort with simple but comfortable rooms.

Nice enough but not great value for money”
I recently stayed at Suanya with my two friends and we had a good time. However upon arrival the staff (who speak little to no English) noticed we only had three and gave us a triple room even though I booked the Quad. It was clearly available but they wouldn't let us have it because they wanted to wait and see if a 4 person group would come for the room. That soured the experience from the start. The triple room is very small, with the beds pushed together from wall to wall. The outdoor shower was very nice though. In terms of value for money I would say that Suanya is a bit on the expensive side, considering we saw other small bungalows available on the island between 250-500Baht/night. The private beach is very small but nice enough. The only problem is that in the evening the trash men dump their rubbish right next to the Suanya resort for it to be sorted. This lead to the inevitable bits of plastics floating around in the water. I would not stay at Suanya again because even though it wasn't too expensive, everything felt just a bit overpriced for what you actually get in return -- The rooms, the menu (100+ Baht for Som Tom!!), the scooter rental (400B versus 300 other places). Our stay was pleasant enough but I think I'll try one of the other many places at Koh Kood next time. Make sure to check out Sunset Bar -- there is a great atmosphere there; very casual and they have an all you can eat family style buffet each night for 200Baht. It's one of the few places to go at night on the island.

relaxing stay in paradise”
Very much enjoyed the stay at this resort as a group, we had a large room with an extra bed and had plenty of room for everyone, The resort was located right on the beach featuring a nice bar to kick back and chill and enjoy the surroundings, perfect choice for a relaxing time on koh kood!!

Beautiful location and island ”
We were staying here as our friends were getting married at Koh Kood Beach Resort- which is right next door. We stayed here as it was more affordable than there. The rooms were lovely and cool and a great coffee shop opposite. Convenience to the speed boat to Koh Chang. Only thing is that the restaurant or bar wasn’t open when we were there so we ate next door every night.

had a great stay at the hotel, a good thai hotel, with friendly staff and a great location. if you expect a full blown western hotel with all the services and tv chanels you have back home, then this is not the place. but if you are commming to relax, hang out at the beach, read a book and can suvirve without your thursdays soap shows, and not addictet to shopping this i the place.... breakfast is nothing special, but keep you running :-) there is a few local resturants that provide you with delicus and well cooked thai food, as one resturant had on the menue speak little english, but the food is good enjoy

Very Relaxing”
Very beautiful setting. Not crowded. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable and very clean rooms. Safe. Nice, but small and quiet local village next door. Regarding the location - it has what you need but not too much, just right for relaxing. The only negative was the internet occasionally dropped out - no great problem, unless you are staying here to do work - but the place is perfect for relaxing. And really beautiful.

we specialy enjoy the free kayak on the beach , paddel out from the shore watching the sun go down, or thake a tour along the coast ,the water was so clear and blue and many places to snorkle near the clif ,there was a good resturant in the nabour resort and a few local eatingsplaces also

Nice quiet hotel”
Nice hotel with it's own private beach. Rooms were very spacious and clean. The hotel is a few KM away from any restaurants and bars so you will need to rent a motor bike to get around.

Not more than alright”
The hotel is super secluded. Luckily there is a resort just next to it and they serve excellent food. Otherwise you have to rent a scooter to get around. We were only here for 3 days and that was enough for us at least. The rooms are nice and clean.

Beautiful beach and nice room but very isolated”
The service was very poor, more like unexisting. The were no proper restaurant and compared to other hotels in Koh kood it was very disappointing. The hotel is very isolated and the only way to get around is to rent a scoter. So if you do not drive, dont go there.
