This is a luxurious Thai style resort. It sits about 2 km from the Jomtien beach. The bungalow was a little spooky for me.

What an outstanding place to stay!”
This is my third time to stay at the Sugar Huts. The first thing i noticed is the incredible beauty of the place and all of the birds in the palms that cover the entire property. I feel like its a private oasis amidst the craziness of pattaya. The rooms are done in classic Thai style and are very well appointed with comfortable beds, clean rooms and big bathroom/shower area. The food in the restaurant is top notch and includes both thai and western style menu. It might be the best place to eat in all of Pattaya! I highly recommend the Huts to anyone(great for families with all of the pools) and look forward to my next stay.

Very Relaxing Villas”
I really liked staying at the Sugar Hut. I booked a two bedroom villa with my friend. The grounds were were decorated and had some small wildlife. The restaurant was good. There are three pools, all sizable. There are only so many villas so its pretty much semi private. The staff was wonderful and helpful. Very quiet and relaxing. It's slightly out of the way which is both good and bad. Taxis had a hard time finding the entrance.

Wonderful accommodations, beautiful surroundings”
the best part of sugar hut is the location away from the hustle and bustle of pattaya. the grounds are spectacularly beautiful and a natural setting. there were peacocks and other wildlife within the compound and beautiful paths that led to all the huts. the pool and fish ponds were quite nice. the whole experience was quite peaceful.

Beautiful pool, grounds and Villas”
we stayed for one night only, we plan to stay in as many hotels in pattaya as we can to try and find out which one we like most. the sugar hut is wonderful and quite amazing for the price. the villas are thai style, with living room/bedroom separated by a wooden walkway, and sleep on the floor under netting. but done lusciously and comfortably. beautiful green surrounds. our one complaint was at the restaurant, the service was unbelievably slow, and they brought the wrong order twice. when the right food did arrive it was delicious, but took a long long time even by thai standards.

unique experience ”
very nice stay at the sugar hut resort ,in balinese style houses with effective modern a/c units ,which are set in a lush rainforest style envoironment with blue macaws ,peacocks ,bantams ,and other furry animals all roaming freely in the grounds .another advantage of this resort is the well appointed large pool which catches plenty of sunshine for tanning ,,the resort boasts three pools and also a gym and jogging track.the staff are friendly and helpfull and the resort is very private you can do basically what you like as its a big resort you dont feel prying eyes on you and the whole place is very relaxing and laid back.

Super beautiful hotel, calm and peaceful”
It is a perfect place to escape from Bangkok - it is not on the beach though nevertheless Pattaya beach and sea is definitely not where you want to spend time it is really beautiful, all thai, well maintained. Staff is lovely, speaks good English. It is only Thai food so was a little difficult to find something to eat for young western children and especially vegetarian - but the staff in the kitchen made many efforts to prepare something nice especially for my 2 years old. I found it is a little expensive but probably the price to pay for so much peace, calmness and beauty in Pattaya and so close to Bangkok - RECOMMENDED!

Sweet Sugar Hut”
After reading all the negative comments sugar hut I was very worried about staying here, but wanted to give it a chance. I must admit that arriving there was great, it was exactly the place we were looking for. The reception lady was very nice a professional. The accommodation was great, and although you could see that it was an older place, it was very nice and clean. On coming back from a night out, the staff had been into our room and set up the insect net over the bed, a nice surprise. Breakfast was however very disappointing. It was cold and things you would expect to be there were missing. Plates and cups were chipped, yet staff were still helpful. Over I am glad i never listened to the negative comments and I think that I will return at some point again.

Peaceful retreat in a luxurious garden”
This hotel is a surprise in such a busy, noisy and crowdie city as Pattaya. The luxurious tropical garden isolates you from the hustle and bustle of the “hotter” streets of Pattaya (that by the way you can still visit as the hotel is not far from them. The individual Thai traditional houses are scattered in the garden, around the various pools. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is large and some villas have an open roof so you can take a shower under the rain (if you like and if it is raining ). The service is correct. Discreet and efficient. The breakfast was disappointing. I did not have diner in the hotel. I know from past experiences that it is good but pricey. So I recommend having diner in the numerous Pattaya restaurants.

Lovely boutique hotel in a middle of tropical garden. Quiet and VIP SERVICE ”
A little paradise in the middle of busy Pattaya. We received VIP SERVICE MY RECEPTIONIST MISS LILLY. Beautiful traditional little villa with private terrace. Tropical garden. Free welcome service of snacks and juice. Pyjama. Shorts shirts and traditional sarong sandals to use during stay. Breakfast with eggs and fruits + juice . Tea coffee complimentary. I regret not to have stayed Longer. Totally recommended

My wife and I brought our niece to relax, have a wedding party at the hut and do the island things. Extraordinary value and midway between crazy walking street, jomtien, and shopping. Excellent experience.

I have been to many hotels in Thailand, and this was the best. After a quick check-in, they offer complimentary drinks and appetizer. Then you are taken to your traditional Thai style bungalow, with a seperate sitting room, large bathroom, and cloud soft king size bed. I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a cozy and relaxed traditional style hotel. Located in a quiet setting with local wildlife, just 5 minutes from shopping and nightlife.

stayed here during songkran and the hotel was deserted. so quiet it was a struggle to get service at times. everything and everyone is very laid back here. the hotel is quite idylic. you really are staying in a hut. not somewhere i could stay for long but makes a very pleasant relaxing change for a couple of days.

Our stay at the Sugar was really nice. The room was really nice. We had 2 cabins, one with the bed and bathroom and the other one with sofas and TV. Lots of trees, wood cabins, big swimming pool and most of all, peace. One remark though, the breakfast buffet choice was very limited

i felt relaxed and comfortable here set amongst beautiful tropical gardens. the atmosphere is friendly and informal. very peaceful and quiet. the service needs to improve but the thai food is excellent. centrally located yet a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of central pattaya.

Interesting Stay”
Booked this on behalf of an associate for the weekend. This is his feedback. Hotel has a very nice and mature garden and also very quiet. I am a foreigner so the Thai house concept is interesting. But amenities like electric plugs in the room are not very convenient. Living room separate from the bedroom is also a problem. If you need a drink in the night, you have to get outside. Can see that it will be a serious problem when it rains. Restaurant service for breakfast was slow. I ordered a tea and it came within 5 minutes but it was cold. I wonder how they managed that. You get to live near to nature but be prepared to get bitten by mosquito if you wish to experience this Thai Style hotel. Interesting for a first time stay but after a while, the novelty wears out for me.
