This is a fantastic location, walking distance from Al Khobar Corniche and the staff were amazing. There is a Lulu right next to the hotel! They gave us a two bedroom apartment that was very spacious with a TV in every room and three bathrooms. the shower was great. The swimming pool downstairs was a very good size and the staff accommodated our needs. There was Arabic coffee and dates available at all times in reception (complementary). The staff were always friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel and go back again! Thank you.

Excellent stay. The following are just for improvement: 1- the shower booth is too small. 2- room for 2 but only 1 bathroom slippers. 3- only tea bags available without coffee as advertised. 4- no shower curtains as badly needed. Thank you all people working there

Worst experience ever with the customer service. They cannot help with anything; I did not book this hotel, but I have been brought here by their mistake of putting themselves to another hotel’s location and list. And they don’t want to take the responsibility of it. The message clearly was “It is not our problem; Deal with it yourself” The front desk lady “رؤى" was inappropriate at all; it seems obviously she’s not trained very well to stand in front of customers; rejected me to talk to the manager and didn’t help with the issue. Bad experience; lack of respect dealing with the customer experience and I don’t recommend it.

When booked the room online, we requested a room in the higher floor but when we arrive the higher floors rooms were given to certain people! The hotel is clean and new. our room were a bit small, they don't provide coffee! only tea and 2 small bottles of water. Although the booking was for 2 adults, everything in the room was 1 person, if you don't ask you will not get and sometimes even if you ask they just ignore you. The safe in the room is not working, locked up our stuff and we couldn't open the safe without calling for maintenance twice. Also not to mention the bathroom light went off while taking a shower. The breakfast is below average. I don't recommend this hotel to my friends.

The building is a bit old, the staff are friendly and they provide as much as they can. yet, the rooms were outdated. Highly recommended if you're looking for something great in terms of value. but keep away if you're looking for a "lovely stay"

We stayed a couple of nights at Sumou and left feeling quite exhausted. We slept very badly because beds mattresses are very cheap, uncomfortable and very noisy when you turn at night. Also, there was also a horrid smell of sewage coming from outside and the bathroom which ruined it for us sitting in the room. The bathroom taps are rusty and no shower room door. Room service is very poor. Also, the swimming pool was closed so nothing for kids to do. The Bell Boy is rude and aggressive. Positively, the breakfast was great with a good selection. The dining room is very clean and and the restaurant staff helpful. Thank you! Arabic coffee is always available and large screen TV and comfortable seating in the foyer. The WiFi is excellent throughout the hotel. The Egyptian desk manager was excellent, organised and customer orientated. Kudos. The ladies working on the desk still need a lot more customer service training. Avoid the Sumou. Khobar has plenty of great options.
