Great House with simple furnishings”
this is my third time staying at one residence. no disappointment thus far. all rooms in the house comes with ensuite bathrooms, which is great as there were 7 of us. it would be horrendous if everyone needs to use the toilet at the same time. there are pretty good food around the area. just drive ard and ask. would recommend for families and people who travel in large group. only con that i can think of is that if you don't drive, it's pretty tough to get to town. though, you can call for a cab. the hotel "sunflower hotel" has feeder services, which you have to pay. charges are per vehicle, so lesser people you have, more it costs per pax. they provide bicycle rentals too. overall, would stay back there again when visiting melaka.

Clean and spacious villa”
This is a great place to stay - a private spacious two-storeyed villa with car-park. The villa was clean, well maintained and the rooms were clean. Front-desk check-in process was very smooth and quick. There are shops and eateries nearby and the drive to Melaka center is about 15 minutes. This is an ideal place for large groups and families.

Nice and big apartment ”
Very suitable for big family vacation as it able to accomodates 8 persons. It will be more convenient to have own transport although there is tranport to town at a cost provided by the hotel. About 15mins drive to the melaka town for all the sight seeing and nonya foods. The apartment is clean and rooms is big. Hotel service is good and responsive. Will come back again if I visit melaka again.

Nice quiet hotel”
This is technically not a hotel but a residence, chalet type stay with a living room, master bedroom and 3 other rooms which can accommodate 8 person. You need to perform the check in/out at Sunflower Hotel which is very near to the stay. Please note that there is a RM50 deposit required which is refundable. Overall the stay was pleasant and quiet, although it is rather far from Malacca central(require car). Would recommend if you are looking for a place for a group of people at a reasonable price.

Clean and nice place to stay.The staff were attend well as we asked for assistance and directions. Even the hotel bit far from jonker walk and Melaka city but best place for family as they can have relax mind. Will consider staying there again if we are going back to Melaka .

I really enjoyed our stay at Sunflower House. For 3 nights, my friends and I had enjoyed the spacious room comfortable bed. It was affordable and centrally located too. It's located near to the Malacca town.

Big House with quiet surroundings”
quite hard to find the place if you are driving without gps. need to check in at sunflower hotel first.there are some eateries and shops abt 5 min walk from the house. the house is very clean and the interior and furnitures looks new. can park 2 cars at the car porch. it has 4 bedrooms, 3 at the upper floor and 1 lower and 4 bathrooms. refrigerator, washing machine, microwave oven and water purifier is available.coffee/tea making facilities with some biscuits is provided. can request breakfast to be delivered to the house. house location is abt 10-15 drive away from city centre. very comfortable,relaxing and enjoyable place to stay for big families. will come back again.

Best value for money”
1. Great value for such huge space 2. Microwave, mini fridge, cutlery & washing machine included 3. Great house design and ID 4. So much better than any hotel, u can just park in your driveway and you're 'home' 5. Good security, in a mid to upper class neighbourhood 6. Astro channels reception not so good. ESPN was unavailable during my stay 7. 8-seater dining table 8. All rooms air-conditioned with proper, complete attached bathrooms. Living room is also air-conditioned 9. Breakfast was ok, local & western choices 10. Only 5-10mins drive to the heart of Malacca town. Nearby our favourite seafood (Muara Sg. Duyung) 11. Did i mention good value for money? :)

Was saying one night in sun flower house, overall environment is comfortable. Definitely it will be my choice for my stay in melaka next time. From the house to town will take 20-25mins to town. Personally I feel okay with it.

Great place but the location is not so convenient”
one residence stay is very value for money. it is a double storey terrace house with 1 very spacious master bedroom, 2 relatively spacious common rooms on the second storey and 1 spacious room on the first storey. there are bathrooms for each rooms so there is no need to struggle for "big business" or taking turns for baths. this place can host about 10 guests in total. still quite okay to reach mahkota parade, pahlawan shopping center, jonker street, melaka river, ang choo(red house) and etc. overall, very value for money and a great place to host friends or family gatherings.

Highly recommended place to stay in a big group”
wonderful place to stay at with family and friends especially in a big group. 2 private parking lots within the house and just a 5mins drive to the heart of the town. best you can get in malacca in terms of price and location i personally feel. i am already planning for my next stay at this place sometime soon. looking forward to my next stay there. can't get any better. btw, my whole group of friends overslept and we requested for late checkout at the very last minute and was granted also therefore i feel the staff are very accomodating and understanding.

Cosy Family Retreat”
Used to be called One Residence. This is my second stay and recommended it to extended family memnbers for the second stay. We booked 2 units (65 and 67) which can house 16 pax. Amenities of unit is adequate with microwave. There is a fridge (reasonable size in 65 but a mini fridge in 67, why?)and washing machine. Although the rooms are big & comfortable enough, they were rather basic, no frills. All rooms are ensuite which is a plus. However, must get management to look into cleanliness of units as the floors are not very clean. We booked a mahjong table and carrom table and both came with the sets. However, mahjong set was not really usable as it was a combo of 2 sets. Luckily we brought our own. We booked the BBQ as we were too lazy to travel out in our convoy. The food provided was good and the food was delivered to us at 7 pm as ordered. Pit and utensils for BBQ were provided. Now, new addition to the package is buffet breakfast at Sunrise Cafe (next to Sunflower Hotel who runs Sunflower Houses). Although with limited choices, it was way better than the delivered breakfast given to us the first time we stayed in One Residence. Buffet is made up of porridge, nasi lemak, fried bee hoon, toast and coffee/tea. I must say the food was pretty delicious although simple. Downside was the huge crowd and the need to grab tables and chairs (small eating area) but if you are patient enough, you will get enough food to eat as they were replenished quite frequently. Thumbs up to this upgrade. As for location, it is really not too far away and is really like 10 mins to the town area if no traffic jam. There are eateries, groceries shops and a 24 hr KFC outlet nearby. Would not hesitate to stay here again as it is great for family get togethers.

Awesome stay with friendly staffs.”
The staff at the hotel lobby was very friendly. He even guided us to Keblang for coconut milk shake because we told him we cant find it. The location of the hotel is not too far from central, hence it is not too bad a location for family who drive. But definitely not for travellers without a car. The house is very big and spacious. Well kept and clean as well. Free wifi is reasonable fast as well. The stay in Sunflower House is no doubt a good one! will definitely come back again!

Huge house located in a quiet location”
As the house located away from the main road, we took quite some time looking for it. The collection of the keys to the house was from the reception counter of Sunflower Hotel. Though the house is huge, it lacks facilities. There isn't any cooking facilities. The things provided include eating utensils for 4 person, an electrical kettle, a microwave oven, a mini-fridge and a television.

Superb Hotel with Great Price”
I had a great stay recently on 11th Aug. Service staffs was great and lobby was spacious and clean. Had a TV and sofa for you to while your time waiting for check in. There are provisions shops along and across the street, no food centre or restaurant though. Had to take taxi to town which is 10 mins away. I decide to visit town and approach the staffs. Service was great, they arrange for their in house transport which is the same price as public taxi. About the home : it was spacious and real huge. Had 4 rooms but only 1 queen size bed which is disappointing if you have 2 couples in a room. Pillows was not that soft though.Else, everything is in working condition. All rooms had connecting bathrooms. Environment is good, not noisy or have many traffic. Breakfast was send to the house but before that you have to decide when checking-in on the choice of menu (4 choices) and time required . I order sandwiches without butter or magarine and thought it's only lip service when they say they will take note. But hey, the next day, it came without butter/magarine. It might seems small but it's the little thing that counts, isn't it? The house had a porch where u can park 1/2 cars depedning on the make/size. With a porch you can feel secure compared to parking in some hotels. We had to ask for directions to the hotel though it wasn't that difficult to find. Almost everybody we asked knew the place so i guess it's quite popular among locals. Overall, i had a great but short stay and would definetely going back should i decide to visit.

Excellent stay after long day of walking”
Malacca is a heritage city where you go around visiting the historical sites, muzeums, have their local delicacies and shopping at the Jonker street. All those walking under the sun for the whole day will easily exhaust you, not to mention the queues due to the crowd. This is a place where I'll happily go back to every single night during my stay, it's big and comfortable. The surrounding is quiet and relaxing, kind of contrary of the experience at Jonker walk.

4.3km from City center, lovely hotel/homestay”
We stayed last year and enjoyed very much. This year booked thru Agoda again for two nights at cheaper price. Very suitable for our family of 7. Can accommodate up to ten people. We drove from Singapore to Ipoh, Penang and back to Malacca, One Residency Stay. We used three rooms out of the four rooms as the three girls wanted to share a room. This time found a very fantastic 'zhe cha' stall. Only paid RM$200 for 13 adults dinner including more than six dishes plus drinks.

Large house comfortable for a whole family ”
we had the good surprise to discover a very large house, well-cleaned, almost new and secure in a residential area. We were a family of 5 adults but with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, it is possible to be a group of 8 adults. Bed are quite new , firm and confortable. Fans and Air conditionning in all rooms. Kitchen is basic but we didn't use it because there are plenty of restaurants in Malakka. we found 2 dead cockroaches in the kitchen. This is not a problem because clean service must have spray it when cleaning. This stay is one to be selected if you need a car to find the area. Included basic breakfast was served in the nearby sunflower cafe.
