Felt sorry for the girl at reception. She had too much work to do. Checking in people and doing the rooms. Lots of dodgy characters live here. Seems abit like a drug den. DO NOT do your washing here For one load it costed £10 And the dryer destroyed some items.

Stay here for 1night. Staff was polite and helpful, room is very clean and 2 wall socket each bed, if you arrive early you might pay £3 for the locker, early check in price was £5, this hostel to city Centre just 30min by walk, or you can catch the bus 👍🏾 high recommend this hostel, cheaper in the city

My first staying in Glasgow”

There are several reason, why I wouldn't recommend the Tartan Lodge. First if you have problem with stairs, this is not for You. Secondly there isn't anybody to help You, in case of luggage. I was lucky to find a young Japanese customer that help me in that. The fridge, that should be used by all clients is to small ( was completely full ) ! Wi-Fi it's weak, not usable, and the rooms are also quite small !

Excellent Price for Excellent Facilities”

I believe I paid too cheap for such facilities I enjoyed. The room, the bed, and the shower room are completely clean and excellent. It has a clean communal kitchen with complete free facilities to use. However, it's a bit far from City centre. I came there by car, so it was not a problem for me. Otherwise, there's a bus stop just next to it, so it should not be any issue to reach the city centre.

Hostel with a lot of black and long term guests. NOT SAFE & overpriced! DO NOT TRUST TO ITS FEEDBACK”

i am wondering of so great & so RIDICULOUSE feedback this property has. On other hand: it's not a big deal to any1 make reservation as 'fake costumer' to get the opportunity to leave FANTASTIC FEEDBACK and this way PUMP UP THE SALE, right? 1. I stayed there few times due to LOW price! It was between 5-6£ per night in 8-10 bed dorm, 7-8£ in 4 bed dorm. IT WAS ACCEPTABLE-u get what u pay for. prices now starts at 10£ WHAT IS EXORBITANT PRICE-U can find v clean private 2-bed HOTEL room for 20£ in Glasgow! 2. Hostel is full of black & Romanian costumers. I had incident with a black guy who turned on light at 3am and started terrorised people and disputes. Requested night porter appeared and... did nothing. 3. Every room has one shower with toilet. No common additional showers. It's a problem if 10 people must share 1 toilet and it stinks in room when someone use it! 4. Hostel is out of city centre about 30-40 mins walk. At night it's dangerous to walk - warehouses area.
