Fantastic stay with great hosts.”
So beautiful. When we arrived there was a small fire in the corner to warm up with. The weather was less than pleasant and our hosts knew we were wet and cold, so they added more wood and gave us some tea. When into our room and it looks like a villa in the rocky mountains that would cost your first born just to stay one night. King size bed was just right. Heated blanket to keep us warm through the night and some warm fuzzy bathrobes we used to combat the cold as well. Separate rooms for the shower and toilet with a beautiful sink and counter between them. In the sitting area was a hand crafted wooden table and chairs. The floor is vinyl and the walls are red brick. The ceiling is made of wood and peaked in the middle to round out the entire look. The only issues I note is no heat and that made it hard to enjoy the entire room. In the bathroom there was a bottle cap and a piece of plastic on the floor that I can totally deal with.

Friendly staff, cute dogs and puppies, great food, quaint, clean, comfortable and decent wifi speeds. I stayed for 3 nights and would certainly come back again. Home away from home. The only downside was that the king size mattress was way too soft.

Local Style Accommodation ”
We really enjoyed staying here with all the wonderful staffs. Stay was quite local and we are comfortable with just a small fan. There are few restaurants nearby while I still recommend the food in Tavan Riverside Ecolodge restaurant. Remember to bring your own umbrella when you visit here, it was raining season when we were staying and the hotel nor us have no umbrella . We had informed by the pretty lady staff that 6pm has a cooking class, we came back for the class, and she had prepared the fillings of the spring rolls. She taught us how to do a fried spring rolls. It's the BEST spring roll when you do it your own, really recommend you to stay here, everything is peace and wonderful, a place for people to get a good rest from a hectic city HANOI.

Loved the location close to the river. However it’s expensive to use taxis 200-300K . And the road down is treacherous. Perhaps better to incorporate your trek down through the villages on your first day . We trekked up to Sapa ... the locals assumed we were mad ! Staff were very helpful And sorted a very early taxi for your return .

We enjoyed the fresh air, peaceful environment with Muong Hoa Stream outside. The room with 3 windows is no nice when you wake up early morning with sunrise beyond the mountains. So so nice! It’s better if staffs can clean up the wash room upstair because it’s the only one for guests upstairs.

Good place but Not professional service”
The staffs' attitude is not really good and professional. They forgot to turn on the water heater when guest checked in, so we have to take a shower with really cold water when it was 10 celsius degree. They did not provide additional tower when guest requested.

Nice house from outside but interior too outdated ”
Tavan Riverside has a beautiful garden but poor maintenance and the landscape is neglected. Location is not easily to access without help - need someone to carry the luggage and staircase too steep not suitayfor elderly. Plus point is staff Ms Kok is ver helpful and only one can speak English. Owner can cook very delicious dinner but breakfast has only Rice noodle so no choice for those who don't take it. Should cater more variety. Very thankful to Ms Kok who upgrade me to the Bunglow suite with no extra charge . Keep it up your good service attitude.

There is like bilion pictures of bungalow and villa, which to be honest looks completely different from the place we were. We booked tripplebedroom. There was almost non view of rice fields. Weve seen mostly just mess they had on the garden. Than there was no beds, just matresses. Bathrom was far from clean. But the price was okay. Be careful, its very hard to find and there are no signs where to, which is unfortunate.

It was over my usual budget but I wanted to treat myself. Pictures look great, reality is different, floor is not flat, holes in it, same for the walls, staff sleeping right underneath with crying baby, mattress too soft laying on the floor...

Be warned, travellers. The road from Sapa to wherever this accommodation is located, is treacherous at best. I rented a motorcycle in Sapa and was given no forewarning of the alleged “road” which lay ahead. Not only was I unable to find the place, I ended up bogged in several inches of mud from which I managed to eventually extricate myself from. The ride down was for the most part beautifully scenic. BUT once the fog and mist rolled in within minutes of observing the aforementioned visual spender, the situation became disastrous. So I turned my bike around and returned to safer lodgings in the town/city of Sapa itself. May I recommend the Sapa Elite Hotel as a much more satisfying alternative.

Lovely place to spend a few nights”
I really enjoyed my stay here! I didn't realize it wasn't in Sapa when I booked, but I was grateful for the remote setting in the end (not really that hard to get too, but takes about an hour to arrive at from Sapa where the bus will drop you). Sapa isn't such a pretty city anyway and I wouldn't have wanted to stay there anyways. The staff were wonderful and friendly. It was clear they tried their best to make my stay a good one. Unfortunately the internet wasn't working well when I was there but this was on the Service Providers side and beyond control of the lodge. Everything else was great! Just be sure to bring a sweater because the nights get cold.

Für den Preis kann man nicht meckern! Urige Holzhütte mit traditioneller Einrichtung. Tagsüber ein Restaurant zum Einkehren für Wanderer. Der Lunch wird mit traditioneller Musik und Tanz begleitet. Wunderschön, inmitten der Gebirgslandschaft gelegen. Allerdings könnte der Garten, der zum Chillen einladen soll, etwas mehr gepflegt werden (Müll, Wucherung, Sauberkeit der Sitzmöglichkeiten). Leider etwas abgelegen von der Innenstadt, aber zu günstigem Preis in einer halben Stunde mit dem Taxi erreichbar (katastrophale Straßenverhältnisse). Der Homestaybesitzer ist bemüht und spricht gutes Englisch. Es besteht die Möglichkeit, mit der Familie abends gemeinsam zu essen. Die Zimmer sind gepflegt. Das Gemeinschaftsbadezimmer war in einem katastrophalen Zustand, leider unangenehm.
