I spent new years 2018 at this spanking new hotel. It is clean, well furnished and the beds are very comfortable. Staff were very kind and friendly especially the night guard Alex, and all staff at the reception, particularly Chawit and Film. It is walking distance from Tha Phae Gate, the Sunday night market and old town. There is a fabulous cafe for breakfast called The Garden Cafe just around the corner from the hotel....do not miss the breakfast at this cafe! Will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chiang Mai...you just can't go wrong with this one! Thanks for the wonderful stay!!!

This hotel was amazing for the very, very cheap price. I stayed only one night and then went to a boutique hotel for more than double the price. I actually like Imm Hotel better. While the hotel is very are bones, it is clean, has a nice hot shower and is in an exceptional location. It is a very busy place. There were loads of teen tours going through the lobby. I didn't noontime noise at night though. I could hear a bit of bass from a nearby bar, and it ended quite quickly. The hotel staff are kind and held our luggagenntil,our room was available and clean. The breakfast was great for a 'grab n' go" style. There is cereal, salad, eggs, meat, jok, fruit, juice, coffee, tea, toast, croissants and more. The location is Tha Phae Gate, which is great for everything.

1. Very professional service attitude with polite manners. 2. Staff can not speak Chinese but can speak great English. 3. The suite room was great and clean. 4. Breakfast was simple but had nice and family atmosphere. 5. Great location, 1 min to Herb Basics (local famous brand) and 5 mins to Gate Tha Phae with delicious dishes along the street. 6. The swimming pool is too small. 7. The hotel was in the lane, which made it slightly difficult for uber/grab drivers to find it.

We stayed at the Colonial in October 2012. The location is convenient to the old city (through the Tha Phae gate) with free off-street parking. Everything was within walking distance with plenty of good restaurants, shops and the night bazaar and easy stroll from the hotel. The room was about 40 square meters with a beautiful bathroom. Although the room was somewhat large, there was no sofa or table with chairs to use in the main room which would have been useful. Overall, the room was extremely clean and well appointed per a 4-star hotel. The breakfast service needs improvement though. A 4-star hotel should NOT serve frozen hash brown patties and greasy, undercooked bacon. The hotel is a definite recommend.

The hotel is quite new and clean, all staff is very nice and willing to help. The breakfast is a la cate but has many option to be chose. The room is quite small and the location may be not so good as it's not in the main road, but you can walk to Tha Phae Night Market.

The room was pleasant and it is facing west, the afternoon sunlight was directly shine into the room and toilet. I feel very bright and it is fine with me. Walking distance easy to everything, just 5 mins walking distance to the old city Tha Phae Gate. Hotel is located in housing area and is quiet.

The location is convenient to both the Old City inside the moat and the tourist areas around Tha Phae Gate, Loi Kroh and the Night Bazaar. The hotel exterior and the lobby are very nice and classier than the price would suggest. The room had a bath tub, which you don't always find in this part of the world, and also had a very large flat-screen TV. It was not a luxurious room like you might find in a 5-star hotel, but it was still one of the nicest I've seen in Chiang Mai in this price range.

We stayed here on New Year's Eve as the hotel is so central - just a short walk from Tha Phae Gate and the Night Market. Billy's Italian Restaurant is also just around the back, turn right out of reception and turn right and right again. Lovely traditional hotel in the Thai style with Thai music by the pool in the afternoon. Friendly and helpful desk staff with excellent spoken English. The Night Manager was especially helpful as he helped me get a young lady home safely by telephoning and waking up the hotel driver. We will return!

The hotel is located right behind Starbucks Tha Pae Gate. Very convenient location to walk around and explore the old Chiang Mai town. The room I stayed in was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I do recommend this small lovely hotel.

It was a joyful experience indeed. Smooth check-in, the nicely appointed room and excellent levels of service made our stay a good one. The location cannot be beat. At night the area becomes very lively and the fascinating little streets of the old town start outside the hotel front door. Highly recommended, will return!

Staff were very helpful. Recommended us places to eat, though may not be the best that suit our taste. Helped us booked taxi back to airport. Location was very good, walking distance to food street and market. Breakfast was fantastic. Set menu A, B, C, D and E accompanied with small buffet of greens, fruits, brownie, croissant, toast breads, fried you jia kuey, coffee, tea, soya milk, milk. Only minor issue was the walls were thin, not so sound proof.

A good area for a short stay, quiet n clean, staff is courteous n helpful. Hotel is a short walk to the Sunday walking street near tha phae gate. It’s also walkable distance to warorot market n the night bazaar. Hotel can arrange tour with a 10% discount for guest. The breakfast is a must try... presentable and nice. The setback is this hotel got no lift and my bath room water is weak. The air -con was humming away and auto off/on itself. Maybe it’s only my room. Lastly this is still a good hotel to stay. Highly recommended.

This hotel is just outside the Old City. What a wonderful hotel, it’s a great location. Beds were very comfortable, air-conditioning was very good, staff were friendly and helpful, and rooms were spotless. Bathroom was roomy and clean. The pool is so lovely but can be a little on the cold side as doesn’t get much sun, but a cold pool is ideal at the end of a long day exploring. There is so much to see and do within walking distance, you won’t regret staying here if exploring on foot is one of the things you like to do. The only down side is one people smoke in the pool area it does waft up to the landings on the upper floors. There are no lifts (only 3 stories high) and no lifts is not a problem for most people but worth noting for some people. We will most definitely choose to stay here again in the future

I stayed at Nat Len for a total of 3 nights and had a great stay. The place was very clean by western standards and well appointed. They have a restaurant that serves cheap meals and they offer free coffee/tea all day. The staff was friendly and helpful. The neighborhood was within short walking distance of Sompet market and restaurants. The maid offered to clean the room daily per your request. There is an issue with internet connectivity here, it frequently goes out when being used. I did ask one of the staff for assistance and this person acted like they were being inconvenienced. When I asked someone else, they provided assistance. Aside from that I had a great stay.

+ clean and spacious room with nice amenities 깨끗하고 여유있는 방에 각종 세면 도구부터 면봉까지 깔끔하게 잘 갖춰져 있어요. + great towels and beddings, slept like a baby for 4 nights 네 밤 잤는데 침대랑 침구 너무 좋아서 완전 꿀잠잤어요. + 3 min walk to the Tha Phae Gate & Sunday Market 타패게이트(선데이 마켓)에서 큰 길 따라 걸어 3분 내로 이동 가능해요. + windows have locks and extra chain lock inside the door made me feel safe 문 안쪽에서 완전 튼튼한 체인 걸어 잠글 수 있어서 안심했고, 발코니 창에도 잠금장치되어 있어요. + kind and helpful owners with fluent English 사장님 부부 정말 친절하시고 영어도 잘하세요. + right next to the street but still quiet at night, sometimes almost scary, haha 큰 길에 있는데도 밤에 너무 조용해서 첫 날엔 다른 손님도 없나 싶어 약간 무서웠어요.ㅋㅋ + nice all-day breakfast place in the same building 1층 깔끔한 카페에서 하루종일 브런치 메뉴나 음료 맛있게 드실 수 있어요. - I didn't check if they have laundry service or not, anyway, having coin laundry machines in the building would be nice? 세탁서비스 있는지는 안 물어봐서 모르겠네요. 동네 곳곳에 빨래방이 있어 이용해봤는데 땡볕에 빨랫감 들고 다니는 거 좀 귀찮았어요.

if you are hoping for something like the 5-star hotel with professional staff, please don't choose changmoi house. however, if you would like to experience the local atmosphere of chiang moi, this place might be a great choice. with superior location only steps away from the pratu tha phae (the gate where the weekend night market starts). there are also mc's, starbucks, pharmacies, and my favourites, second-hand book stores around, which provided a extreme convenient stay. the room was clean and made up everyday by the extremely friendly staff. i even had a private backyard! however, the bathroom might be a minor downside but it still functioned well. breakfast was surprisingly great, local thai style breakfast (with rice of course). to me, rather than breakfast it was more like a formal meal. but if you can't stand spicy, please notify them earlier. overall it was a really lovely stay in chiang moi house, i would definitely stay there if i am going back to chiang mai.

We stayed 3 nights at the Villa Thapae and hope to return someday. The rooms are comfortable and the design features make the place special. The bathrooms especially were roomy and made us feel like we were in a luxury type hotel. The best feature at Villa Thapae is the staff. They made sure we had a place to shower after a long bike tour when we came back well past check out. The only problem we had was light bulbs going out but they replaced them right away. THe location is excellent. The breakfasts are great, too. If you want a place that creates a relaxing atmosphere and puts you at ease, this is your place.

The Tapae Place is located close enough to the Tha Phae Gate to easily walk and far enough from the hussle and bussle to have a quiet stay. The TV was a bit dated when compared to similarly priced hotels, but since I wasn't in Chiang Mai to really watch TV it wasn't really an issue. The air-conditioning worked great and the breakfast was good. I would consider staying at the Tapae Place Hotel again for sure.

I had a very pleasant stay here. I took a risk of trying a brand new hotel which had no earlier reviews and I'm very glad i did it. Location: Strategically located in between Thapae Gate (sunday market) & the weekly night market. It is easy to miss this hotel as it is slightly hidden & tucked away behind the building of a local bank. It was so easy for us, my elderly mum and I to walk around. Also close by to Wararot Market where the locals frequent. Amazing location. If u wish to escape to noise of night market but still stay close enough to walk..this is your hotel. The are many cafes, restaurants, tailors & gift shops nearby. Breakfast: Delicious breakfast. I have read other hotels offer very standard breakfast and usually buffet. Ours was served freshly cooked with perfect eggs and a variety of Asian as well as western meals. Served on timely manner next to a small open garden. Not to mention they have their own coffee machine with good quality of coffee. Facilities: The Wi-Fi speed was excellent. Did not experience any interruption. Rooms were very clean as everything is new. Nice functioning elevator and security system. It was exactly as in the photos. Suggestion: maybe could include toothbrush & paste in the toiletries. Staff: Very friendly, attentive and helpful staff. Felt almost like we were in a home stay. Even felt will miss them at the end of our stay :). The speak good English not to worry. They offered guidance around the town, even contacted a massage center for us and presented us with a parting gift on our last day of stay. They even paid attention to little details such as food we tend to avoid as my mum does not take beef N pork. Was very touched. They often ask how was our trip and even offered umbrella on rainy days. I would recommend this place to anyone with family or couple. Thank you and good luck to The Signature Hotel.

This is my first trip with my mother. The room I chose is "sweet dream" which is located on the ground floor. I think it deserves brilliant rating as the room is exactly as beautiful as those photos. The staff is friendly and nice. They are helpful in answering any questions. We were provided the free pick-up service from the hotel to airport when we left Chiang Mai. For breakfast, I think it was very great, but I didn't have the chance to taste them because I had been having a stomach-ache since the day before going to Chiang Mai! It's a pity!!! My original plan was to try all the five/six? breakfasts on the menu!!! On the other hand, maybe we are on the ground floor, there were ants in the room. I think there were around 7 ants each time I went to bed. As I am not afraid of ants, so I just "made them disappeared" every time I saw them... please RIP. Anyway, they didn't bordered me. And for the location, I can say it is perfect! It is about 10-15 mins walk to Warorot Market where my mother loves to buy fruit from. We also went to the Sunday Market. As it is so close to The Phae Gate, when we finished walking the Sunday Market, it is very easy for us to go back to the hotel. Moreover, there are a lot of good restaurants around The Phae! Stayed here several times since 2016. Rooms are spotless and pretty spacious. Location is great, 5 minutes walking from Tha Phae gate, 7/11, etc, 15-20 minutes walking from Night Bazaar, yet it is in a quiet street away from the traffic. Staff at the reception is very kind.

Good for budget travelers. Location is good to Tha Phae Gate and room is clean & well equipped.

This hotel is so different from any other hotel I stayed in. So different in fact, that the bathroom walls are see-through =\ We stayed 5 nights in this hotel only because we were tired of moving around and wanted to stay put for a good couple of days. The location is PERFECT - it is right outside of the tha phae gate, and all the tuk-tuk, taxi drivers knew where it was without hesitation. It is right across the street from a pharmacy and next to some really good coffee shops, massage parlors, etc. As for the room, we stayed in the Snake Room on the top floor. The aesthetic of the hotel is very cool - but the room itself is tinier than expected. The bathroom was very narrow and the bathroom walls were clear. So everytime one of us had to use the toilet or take a shower, the other would have to turn away. We did have the option of changing to another room, but we were just overcome by fatigue from our trip that we just never did. Breakfast was delicious, and staff was extremely sweet and attentive. I would stay in this hotel again, only if the other rooms had actual bathroom walls.

There are guesthouse rooms where you must pay a deposit to even get a towel, but we were in the hotel side where everything was included. The rooms were large and clean and fine. The hotel seems quite Israeli-oriented (menu and signs in Hebrew and jammed full of Israelis). The restaurant staff were nice but the front desk staff were always extremely busy and didn't have much time for smiling. The location is very good, lots of food around and close to ta Phae gate for shopping. The pool was clean but tiny and freezing cold, and didn't seem to get any sun. Food in the restaurant was fine and not too expensive.

a very delicated villa hotel located at Tha Pae Rd with nice temple Wat Saen Fang view aside and pool. It was a very pleasant stay here however my villa's door lock is very hard to swipe open. needing a instant fix-up to this villa door lock anyway.

Nice staff n good location. Out of the old town, near the china town n an unknown market. Lots of traditional thai food u can choose. 10 minutes from Tha Phae Gate. Good decoration. Beside the main road to the old town. Easy to call a taxi or tutu.

OON Poshtel is perfect for budget travelers that are looking for something one step up from the hostel experience. It's a small hotel, far enough away from the crowds at Phae Gate but close enough to be an easy walk there. The only downside is it is next door a hostel that is sometimes loud at night. We booked the biggest room at OON which was perfect for us. DIY Check-in means we didn't interact with staff too much!

Generally, this is more suitable place to stay for couples since the romatic design in room named in colors. Good location, 5 minutes'walk to Tha Phae Gate, 8 minutes to Night Bazzar, and around 15 minitues to Warrorot Market. While it seems that the staffs can't not provide some useful guide or tips for shopping or entertaiment, or may be dut to their bad English.

The place is really nice. It' s within residential area but not to far from Tha Phae Gate. The room and the place are exactly how it looks like in the photos. It is quiet and clean. The staff are good English. But, don't expect too much on their breakfast. Overall, the place is REALLY NICE.

The location is very good, walking distance to Tha Phae Gate and Night Bazaar, room are clean but a bit noisy at night because the music come from the bar opposite. Staff are nice and helpful, breakfast not many choice but for the price is ok. Will stay again on next visit in Chiang Mai.
