          The Black Horse”

          We had a great stay at the Black Horse, Sue the landlady was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, the bar well stocked. What more could you want! The street can be a little noisy in the morning, but staying on the most picturesque street in Whitby more than compensates for that. Highly recommended!

          Black Horse Whitby”

          We had 2 days at the Black Horse - the staff were very friendly - the beer in the bar was excellent, particularly the Tiny Rebel Tropicana IPA. Although there are no breakfast facilities in the BH, it was nicely stocked with tea, coffee, milk, crisps & biscuits etc- there is a lovely cafe opposite that provides a nice breakfast! All in all, we’ll return

          Perfect place to stay unfortunately we stayed at a difficult time for the landladay due to a bereavement. That didn't affect our stay the staff were thoroughly professional.

          Perfect for early risers”

          Everything was great, till 4:30 in morning when the brewery turned up, then the bottle collector, then the bin men Day 2 was better was 6am. This did spoil it for us as we wanted to stay out late & lay in.

          Be wary of Jane, the pub landlady, a pain in the ****”

          Ask her any question and doesn't know the answer to and you'll get a frosty response. She made feel very unwelcome. Also, this pub serves poison called alcohol so be careful what you order.

          Cozy room in central pub ”

          We spent 2 nights in triple room Endeavour. The pub is strategically located in the heart of Whitby. We left our car at the parking place near the ship Endeavour, very convenient (9 pounds for 24 hours). The room is clean and beds comfortable (a bit short, if you are tall). Warm welcome by staff.

          First ever stay in Whitby”

          Traditional old pub, the bedroom was on the compact side & early morning noise from the street below, but this did not detract from the great service plus added extras like, biscuits & crisps along with bottles of water. We thoroughly recommend the Black Horse Inn.
