Great Find. Value for money”
The Guide Hometel was a very great find. With the deal that we got, we merely can't complain on anything. Asira was very helpful and gave us tips on where to eat. She did the extra mile for doing customer service. She also spoke and understood english. Location was kinda far from Kata Beach. Though along the way, there are a lot of restaurants and even a night market. So it didn't feel the walk to be quite long. They can arrange for you your airport transfers plus some tours if you want to. Laundry shop is just across just incase you need. I just thought that there was free breakfast included, but it was not a deal breaker since there are lots of good breakfast places near the area. Overall, me and my wife are very satisfied with the stay and can recommend them to other travelers.

New hotel centrally located in Kata. 5/10 min walk to beach with many restuarants, bars etc.. in close proximity. Very good value relative to competitors. Nice new rooms. Didnt try the food so cannot comment on this aspect. Agoda pictures show hotel has a swimming pool however while there may be one, I didn't see it, staff didn't mention it and there was no signage to it within hotel. Anyway a good option at a good price - recommended.

Friendly staff but not what I was looking for”
I wanted to like the Charm Hotel because of all the positive reviews, but my experience wasn't fantastic. The hotel was hard to find (like most places in Thailand), and it didn't help that the phone number was out of service. When I finally arrived around 9/9:30 I was told that the Super Deluxe Room I booked wasn't available and that there was a smaller, less expensive room that I could stay in. It was late, I'd just traveled 36 hours, I wasn't going to argue. My room was in a building a few doors down from the main one. You had to walk through a tourist office and up the stairs in the back to the the third floor. It was a strange setup and not a great first impression. The room itself was small but clean. By the time I got situated and wandered out to find dinner around 10pm, all of the restaurants in the area were closed. It may have been a nice place for someone already familiar with the area, but I wanted a hotel more centrally located and the room that I booked. The woman at the front desk was very nice and refunded my subsequent two nights and the difference for the less expensive room. I was very thankful and appreciative. I ended up staying at another hotel in Patong, so I traded the sleepy street for a much more lively one. The Charm Hotel was about a 10 minute walk to Kata beach and some restaurants/shops nearby. Kata Beach was nicer and less crowded than Patong Beach.

Super staff, lovely people and helpfull. Quiet room even with a balcony on a small street side. House keeping was perfectly made everyday. No noise or talkie walkie on the hallways on the morning, you can sleep all the morning ! Restaurants, night market are really really close by walk, you can find the first bar from 5mn walk, Kata beach and Karon beach are approx 15 mn walk. Small basic food and drink shop in front of the hotel, landry too. Highly recommended. Travel agents manager.

Spacious, clean and friendly”
Very friendly and helpful staff, room was very spacious and clean. We had the family room, but did look into other rooms when they were being cleaned and they also looked clean and spacious. Breakfast every morning even when we Turned up late they would still at least make us some toast and fruit, pretty basic but didn't have any meals aside from breakfast there. We did have a fridge and microwave and decent knives in our room so we were able to buy fruit and reheat food so that was handy! From the airport our driver was confused as it is not on the main road in kata which actually suited us very well as it was a bit quieter, but just for anyone else it is near the beach plaza/centre. Quick walk to beach and shops, plenty of food and shops around. Over all great place would definitely stay again!

Small hotel/guesthouse. Modern, well appointed rooms. Comfortable bed, very clean. Good location. No pool and limited on facilities but if you are just looking for looking a nice room and on a limited budget then is is a great choice in Kata.

Great service”
The manager goes above and beyond for his guests. The room has everything you need, TV with hundreds of channels, toaster, microwave, even an umbrella for the rainy season. The manager gives you a tour and shows you how to use TV and safe box etc. the pool was located a short walk from our room. The hotel had two parts. 4 rooms where the lobby is located and 6 rooms across the road where the pool is. The 2 ground floor units are pool access and they would be the best choice. Our family room was spacious but the family room for 4 includes one rollaway not a fixed bed. Aircon cold and rooms throughly cleaned. Service unbeatable.

The hotel is well located and the rooms are nice. Good value for Money. However, and as advised by the owner, don't book your day trips in the hotel as the prices are at least 50% more expensive than outside (for the exact same trip). Seems not an issue for the hotel to make you pay much higher than the fair price and they would explain you later that it's because you're young and not familiar with Thai culture to get ripped off by the hotel travel agency you trusted. First time this type of misadventure happens to me after 6 trips to Thailand. They however offered the airport transfer when we complained to make it up to us which was appreciated.

Quiet place ”
Quiet place so a good night's sleep is assured. Not happy that a 500 Baht deposit is required and there are many warning signs all over the room that if you as much as leave a spot on the sheets you aren't going to get your deposit back and probably get charged much more. It's rare that a deposit is charged for any room so the charging of a deposit and the many warning signs kills the mood a bit.

expect bare minimum for a budget clean stay”
Overall clean & good location. No lift. Be prepared to climb stairs like me staying on top most 3rd floor every day (including carry luggage up/down myself). The photos looked great, however in real do be mentally prepared for bare minimum. the short cut to the Kata Beach is a smelly stream. Otherwise, you need to take a longer route abt 10 minutes extra.
