Nice hostel”
Very clean and good hostel. Close to many restaurants, laundry, motorbike rent, supermarkets and the beach. Very easy to get around the island and visit other beaches by motorbike (but winding and steep roads). There‘s a kitchen with a fridge which is handy. Beds are very firm, but I like that. Love the shower (good water pressure). That‘s my second stay at The Habitat

Really good hostel on Koh chang, clean bed and everything was very fresh. Small kitchen with a samovar, fridge and micro. Very nice staff. Close to foodstores and 7eleven. 4 mins to a nice beach. Would def stay here again :)

I stayed as a solo traveler at Pajamas in the same area before (closer to the beach) but their doubles are too expensive, so traveling w/ my husband this time we picked Habitat. Nice clean hostel , the double room is huge. There is not fridge in the room but in the common room. We had no issues with the internet but some guests couldn't connect for some reason. The staff is helpful but gone between 8 pm and 8 am. Restaurants are just outside, 7 eleven, a big supermarket, and Tesco are within few mins away and the best beach on the island is a 10 mins walk. There is a small common room though nobody hung out there. Not a social place, quiet, but it worked for us.

Good hostel with lockers, you can buy tickets at the reception. The nice owner lent me his scooter so I paid for gas but didn't have to rent one for 200THB..

koh chang is a gem ”
this hostel is clean , 5min with a moto to white sand or klong prao beach . but why go there , in chai chet they have all . massage, pharmacy, bakery, bank, 7/11(24/7) , resturantes and just a few min walk to a chilled and nice beach . chai chet is more relaxed and more " thai" than touristy white sand . hostel is clean , personal is service minded . all top

Great stay”
Great value for the money. Located in the VJ Island View & Plaza with many restaurants, 7-eleven store, minimart store, ATMs and street food stalls. It is 5 minutes walk to the Klong Prao beach which is very nice and my favorite beach on Koh Chang.

A big surprise in the middle of liveliness.”
Like mentioned in the title, this place blatantly stands out in terms of pricing. The owner is extremely friendly and will tend to your accommodation needs. Highly recommended for the bottom floor which the owner told me that is for daily/weekly stays while the upper floor are for permanent/monthly rent. Right out the front is anything you would want to see as a tourist: 7-Eleven, BigC Mini, banks banks and more ATMs. Last but not least, the local street food is more than welcomed.

Close to everything ”
After complaining, they fixed the fan and flooding in the bathroom. Room is cleaned Everyday (unless beds). The Towel they provide might be clean but its full of stains (black and yellow) so I did not use it

The hostel is clean, big and situated very close to the beach. Big communal space and complimentary coffee/tea in the morning. Would def recommend it !!!

Hostel is clean and beds are comfy. Supermarkets and restaurants Close by. Location at the coconut beach was not my favorite because beach is crowded and not clean. Wouldnt recommend it for solo-travellers.

The room was clean but very dark walls and old fashioned style (decoration and bunked beds). There was a flooding in the bathroom and the fan didn't work. Not much animated hostel but great location

Relatively the cheapest you could find in Ko Chang.”
The place is a part of an old dormitory renovated to be a hostel. The hostel part is only on the 1st floor. The room is pretty clean, with TV, no fridge (but there's one in the common room), a balcony to dry your wet clothes from the beach, walkable distance to convenient store and beach (but need to go through another property).

It's fine if you don't pay full price ”
It was comfortable enough but there were large gaps in the door that lead to the balcony. I will assume that's how a cockroach ended up on my bed. It's a fine place to rest your head at night but that's about it. Oh, it did have good water pressure.

Average Hostel”
I stayed here for one night in a 4 bed dorm. It was clean and comfortable. Free coffee was a bonus. However the location is not ideal and you can find cheaper private rooms of the same quality on Lonely beach. Staff were friendly and helpful.
