The rooms are all themed. Stayed in 3 diff rooms. The bamboo room is beautiful, with its veranda on both sides and the amount of natural sunlight! Amazing. The lotus room is amazing, love the hanging bed, and the open concept bathroom! This room is definitely meant for couples, cuz only privacy u have is the door and the curtain. Last room I took was the palm room. Bad thing was it doesn't have windows, but the tradeoff is the bath tub! Solid wood tub, not deep but still nice. There is a common kitchen with fridge provided as well, and the utensils provided is more than enuf. All in all, the natural solid wood concept is beautiful, and love the touch of nature (u would never know ur in a residential area) and the different decor in each room is an extra nice touch.

We were the only ones checked in at that time. We've got a room outside with twin beds instead of a queen bed. The owner was kind enough to let us change the room. We had a pleasant stay at The Happy 8 Retreat. The place is quiet and quite a distance from the city center but still less than 30 mins away

Everything Good except the noise & mosquitoes”
This price really worth the value for this Balinese resort-feel chalet stay. The owner really must have spent a lot of effort to make it good. I sincerely valued that. However, what's important to me is good night sleep and this could not be fulfilled. The entrance was full of mosquitoes when I collected the keys from the post box. all my passengers got bitten by the very fierce mosquitoes up to the room and car. I would prefer a host or staff to hand over and briefing, at least by phone call. The post box lock is really old-fashioned and not easy to unlock. Because of the mosquitoes, we were unable to open any windows to enjoy the fresh air but just air-conditioner and fan. The parking is back to back and first-come-first-serve basis, only 2 cars could fit in. The outdoor environment is serene on rainy days, really nice. However, we were unable to sleep because the bedhead and rooftop which look like covered by bamboos were actually just zinc roof. There is no solid wall or solid roof to block the noise of the road, though it's weekend and no school. We're disturbed by the noises of the passing cars and motorbikes right behind the bedheads even our windows were closed. Not recommended for couple as the there were only two single beds and no other choice.

A hidden gem in Ipoh”
This is unique with natural environment stay in Ipoh town. The bamboo room is beautiful, with its veranda on both sides and the amount of natural sunlight when you open your eyes and wake up in the morning! The place is quiet and its near to city. Environement is very comfortable and relaxing. Not crowded Cons. The kitchen is sharing to everyone, just dont care with the spider web and dust because it's nice to stay with natural :)

Good ambience, relax, reasonable price, everything is fine except the dog next door bark at 11 pm and 6am. Not much of sound proofing , the dog sound like barking beside you. For those with infant and kids might have to take note.

Worth the stay”
Pros. Its near to city. Environement is very comfortable and relaxing. Not crowded Cons. Cleanliness has to be improved. We opted the bamboo room, everything was good just that on the floor has few dried plant thing which I guess it from from outside. Floor have to be clean before guest moved in
