I Booked Wrong Room But Staff is EXCELLENT!!”
My wife and I went on our anniversary and decided to book a private pool villa. Prior to arriving Yogja, I was contacted by the hotel staff (Ayu) and she set up a romantic dinner as well as flowers. Upon arriving, Ayu provided us a brief of the room(s) and this is when I realized I made a mistake in my booking. I loved the setup of the villa as well as the big beautiful pool, however, we decided to depart due to not wanting to share the villa with another couple. However, Ayu went above and beyond to assist me. She is a class A staff and we will certainly return to The Kharma Villas with the right room booked. Moving on to our departure, I forgot my accessories bag with valuable items in it at the airport checkpoint. Only knowing Ayu's number, I called and asked for her assistance. She went above and beyond in going to the airport to retrieve my bag and sending it to me. I can't wait to visit the Kharma Villas again: the integrity of the staff is just as important..Love it.

Above Expectations”
You might find the location a bit eerie, 5 minutes off the main road, dark and too quiet. However, this became the selling point as it is very peaceful, nice and it is actually safe within the Villas as it is guarded 24/7. The actual condition is similar, or even better than what is in the picture, so you won't be disappointed with the quality. I will definitely choose this place again, if I'm going to Yogyakarta with 3 or above pax.

A very comfortable stay”
Had an overall very pleasant stay at the villa. The breakfast spread filled our table every morning with our choice of dishes (although the taste was not to my liking, as it was catered to the local taste) but overall still ok. The villa is rather far away from the city centre, which makes it ideal and exclusive but had we not hired the transport they provide (around $80/12 hours), it would have been rather difficult to get around. However, I really love this experience as it offers greater family bonding time as the living room was the main highlight. Susi, who I had liaised with for all the transport and spa arrangements was prompt and helpful in providing the services. Dicky, the butler, was very helpful and seemed to be there 24/7. The staff were all very polite and mindful of our privacy. Thank you for making our stay a memorable one.

Fantastic short vacation”
The staff were very attentative to our needs and helpful. Location wise, I can't comment much as all the day trips were prearranged and transport were provided. Apparently, taxis and drivers were well aware of the location of this villa. In short, this villa is fantastic and I would recommend friends to stay if they have a group of 5-6 people. Dicky, one of their staff is very approachable, you can count on him to recommend restaurants and arrange for transportation.

Great villa with nice rooms”
It's not anywhere near shops and restaurants or tourist attractions, so you'll need to plan ahead with a car rental if you want to get around, but it's a very nice place to relax with the family and feel comfortable. There are about five villas, each with three bedrooms. The master bedroom is on the first floor facing the swimming pool, and two other rooms on the 2nd floor. All rooms have a bathroom and there's also a nice kitchen and living room. The breakfast and services could've been better, but overall we enjoyed our two nights here. Recommended for a family getaway.

not really accessible to alot of places and requires you to hire a driver. but having said that, yogyakarta doesn't exactly have world class transport system. the drivers cost about sgd per day for 12 hours, so you have to plan your itinerary properly! rooms were spacious. services was impeccable but be mindful of the insects as it has an open air toilet and the rooms have open balconies.

it was good at beginning until the electric shut down...something wrong with the electricity.. the staff try to fix it, but keep on and off but so far, everythings good and the kids really have fun stay at this villa

CONS: 1. chairs and sofa have dustmites and stains. 2. pool floor and water was dirty, flooring with molds- looks like not scrubed regularly. 3. Rooms were not cleaned daily even when requested 4. air-con are centralized. one of the room air-con, automatically switches off. they had to fix itvery late at night. happend again next afternoon but were checking out already so I really didnt bother to report it. PROS: 1. complete kitchen amenities 2. breakfast was okay 3. villa lay-out was nice but not really maintained well although manager Rizwal was quick to respond and apologized to us. Since they are catering for non-residents, it would be good to employ English-speaking staff who can attend to guests requests.

We find the villa a bit over price, they could have maintained it better. Kitchen utensils were not properly cleaned, bed sheets were not washed properly, stained bath robes, and room areas are dusty, lack of basic amenities like hair dryer, room slippers and pool towel, and the bath soap were so watery. Not all channels are available (HBOs), and there was no reception nearby. A long way to catch up to be a 5 star (the villas in bali are so much better in terms of facilities and service). We had local breakfast - nasi goreng, bakmi goreng - which were below standards. We loved the pool though.

The villa feels like Jungle, because its full of little creature, not that clean, a bit scary to take a shower because its open air. If you dont have car its a bit difficult to go around.

the house is abit dusty, sofa & chairs has dity stain, flying bugs & also their dead bodies were everywhere (including the swimming pool) except for the cleanliness, location & breakfast are ok. there’s a mall nearby the house.
