The hotel is located near to all the bars and restaurants and they will also help with any tours of Ha Long bay that are needed.

Staff were pleasant, nothing happening in ha long bay during winter season. Would recommend booking a tour to the islands but maybe summer is more lively?! Hotel is clean. Does not have a pool of it's own like the pictures suggest and the sea view is merely a city view!! Still staff were friendly!

The base for Halong Bay”

Good located hotel”

Hotel is central located in the town. Walking ca. 5 minutes to the night market, beach and some local restaurants. Staff are friedly and very helpful. I have got a large room, although I came alone. Like for all other hotels in halong people need a accomodation to transfer to Cat Ba.

Nice hotel for the price”

regardless of what people say at the harbour, it is not 1 km away and not advised to walk with big backpacker's bags in the afternoon heat. take a 2$ taxi. the room was big, two double beds, but like most of the south east asia's hotels, the beds are hard as rock. nice standard bathroom. again, like most hotels in vietnam, you need to climb many stairs to get to your room. tv, mini-fridge and internet included.

A bit weird”

This place has a weird vibe to it. We checked into our room which was nice enough, someone walked in on us twice while we were in the room on the first night, the staff have very little English and recommend to book tours through a very questionable man who basically walks the streets with a folder of nice brochures but isn't actually part of any agency etc. we were told by another couple that the tours sold don't match the description and basically are a scam. Most tours of Halong include transport back to Hanoi so it is quite common as the tourist will not usually come back to the hotel where booked, so beware. On checking out we were billed for mini bar snacks which were never in the fridge, in the end it was resolved but again it's a lot of small things like this, that make the place uneasy, even by Vietnamese standards. Also, bed so hard we actually think there was no mattress, this wasn't the usual hard Vietnam hotel bed, it was a joke.

Even if the mattress is a bit hard we have spent a very good night. The staff at the reception is always ready to help with any information. They booked a bus back to Hanoi>

Really helpfull staff booked boat trip and bus back to hanoi which took us straight to our hotel-saved us getting a taxi from bus station. Great value for money.

Normal mini hotel”

The hotel lacation is easy to find out. Near the beach, night market and main road by 5' walking. The hotel boss is kindly, help me in booking tour and car. The room condition is fair. No breaskfast.

Special experience”

We weren't sure if the staff noticed that we were staying at their hotel... They didn't ask for a passport or a name. And they didn't speak English. In addition, the beds were literally the hardest beds i hve ever slept on. i don't think that there was an actual matress.

Hotel was clean and quiet.The staff was very hard to converse with,no English.All single rooms are up on the 5 floor and there is no lift.Also the beds are the hardest I felt in the all of Vietnam.But the hotel was close to night markets.

Okay value”

you pay for what you get here. the beds are just as hard as the floor. you can hear all the motorbike and foot traffic outside. we went on the weekend and it seemed like all of vietnam was in town. but you get what you pay for if you want to go the cheap route then stay here but you cant beat the price.

Worst Customer Service Ever”

Very rude people, impolite and unfriendly. Been traveling across Asia for 3 months and by far the worst experience so far. They try to rip you off all the time. Make sure you learn Vietnamese because that's the only language they will use, even though one of them speak English. Don't even bother to ask for a map, they will laugh at you. No to talk about the mattress. the floor is softer, and i'm not exaggerating. The hotel was empty, I was the only guess, they forced me to leave the room at 11,30 even though I said to them my bus was coming at 12,15 to pick me up. Disgusting. Never again.

Me quede en este hotel para hacer mi crucero a Halong al dia siguiente. Lo elegi por precio baratisimo y me lleve una grata sorpresa al encontrarme una habitacion muy limpia y enorme con balcon que daba al mar, nevera y Wifi. Por este precio no se puede pedir mas.

Hôtel idéalement situé”

Hôtel idealement situé, à 2 min du grand marché. Par contre chambre au 5 eme etages, sans ascenseurs, dur avec les big sac à dos... mais le pire reste le matelas.... en bois !!!!! Nous ne nous y attendions pas ! Personnel vraiment très charmant et accueillant.
