Exceptional”
We where having a night out at the Empire Theatre and thought we would stay over. As the Liner Hotel was the nearest to the Theatre we booked a night there. We were not disappointed, room was very clean and comfortable. Bathroom was good. We booked dinner in the Hotel Restaurant. The meal was very nice, they do a set menu which was good value. Great staff throughout the hotel. Breakfast was very good, which was in with price. Only downside was that we were on the top floor, in an end room and there must have been a air con unit or somthing that made a humming noise all night making it a bit difficult to get to sleep. That said, I would stay at this Hotel again, just not on the top floor.

The Liner is superbly positioned next to Lime Street Station and with its own dedicated/public car park. The hotel is spotlessly clean and all members of staff member were friendly, helpful and provided a warm welcome on arrival. The bedrooms are spacious and the fabric of the room looks as though a recent refurbishment has taken place. In summary 10/10 and a perfect city centre base …. highly recommended.

This is my 16th stay at the Liner, and I will be back again soon. The rooms are all comfortable and clean, staff are always willing to go the extra mile for us, and the location is perfect for us coming in by train too. A special mention this time for the housekeeping team who work so hard to ensure this hotel is always spotlessly clean.

Wonderful”
On arrival I was impressed with the quality presentation of the hotel and facilities. I decided on check in to upgrade to the penthouse suite for a modest supplement. This proved to be well worth it as the extra touches such as free mini bar and luxury items made the stay very special. Smart staff and top quality food and facilities were the icing on the cake. The hotel is in an unbeatable location for the Empire theatre and St George's Hall. Splash out on this cruise and travel first class all the way.

Birthday treat away”
Lovely hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent well cooked. Good location for all the places to visit. My only criticism our room was very warm because of the piping. It didn't spoil our stay and I would still recommend. Liked the way the hotel has been furnished. The brassiere next to the hotel was also very good. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable.

Aintree weekend”
We booked for 2 nights originally. Decided to book an extra night. Staff so friendly and attentive. Nothing too much trouble. Perfect location for theatres, dining out and bars. The area is buzzing with live music. Shopping locally amazing for designer or little bits needed. Close to station. Already considering booking another stay.

Superb central location; room a tad on the small side, but perfect for one night. My partner was suspicious of the low price, expecting a rubbish place. Emphatically this is NOT rubbish; it is very good and offers excellent value. Breakfast was fine, with freshly fried eggs and superb proper coffee.

Perfect place”
Lovely place to stay, restaurant serves delicious food. Bar is very good. Staff friendly. Room really clean and has everything you need. Only cons : I had emailed to request a bottle of wine in the room for our arrival which was responded to, but no wine in room. Also requested some more milk for room whilst there but didn't get any delivered. That aside we had a great stay.

I stayed here for a night with my husband and we cannot fault our stay. The staff were lovely, the hotel was spotless and the breakfast was delicious. 11am checkout was a bonus. We will definitely be returning. Highly recommend this hotel.

Had a show booked at the empire theatre and chose the liner for the location, a few mins walk away which was great. Rooms are nice and clean . Ate in the castaway bar, ( nice and cosy) some drinks are 241 between 4-6 but unfortunately the bar staff didn’t say which and we paid full!! Breakfast was nice and staff were friendly, especially front of house, would recommend and would stay again.

Great hotel. Clean rooms with shower gel, shower cap, soap and a hair dryer available. There's also a mini fridge if you want it filled for an additional cost. Staff attentive and hardworking. Only slight bugbear is breakfast - no mushrooms available that I was made aware of. Not known if poached eggs could be requested. Continental is self serve from fridges but cooked is served at the counter as per your request including toast. Think toast could be self serve as well to accommodate the continental breakfast customers who may not want to queue with the cooked breakfast people (quicker and easier for everyone I would think).
