Not just a bed, but a home”
The metallic hostel was a true gem during my travels! First the physical basics: close to Long beach and everything important like supermarkets, ATMs, bars, and bike rentals, clean, comportable bunk bed in the mixed dorm and good shower facilities. Now the important stuff for the soul of the backpacker: I met the most incredible people during my stay, the atmosphere in the Hostel is so relaxed and fun. It is really like a big family – and the manager San, who greets you with a warm smile and will not rest until he can fulfil all your wishes is really setting the tone for this heartwarming place. You feel right at home – this is not just a place where your body can rest, but a place that makes you happy and will make your face and heart smile. I loved this place lots and will definitely come back next time I am travelling to Koh Lanta! Another tip: check out Papaya restaurant right across the street – cheap, delicious food in generous portions!

A true gem in Koh Lanta!”
The Metallic is a family-run hostel just a short walk away from Long Beach, Koh Lanta. Lovely and attentive staff, clean rooms and bathrooms, fast wi-fi. There's also a kitchen upstairs for those into self-catering. We stayed at the 4-bed dorm and it was quite good: clean linens, bed curtains, safes and AC. San, the manager, was super helpful and went above and beyond to meet the guests needs. Great times at The Metallic! :-)

Perfect stay”
The stay at the Metallic was very nice. The owner (Sun) takes good care of his customers and you feel that he really cares. You can easily book at the hostel your trips and ferry, also you can rent a scooter there for 24h. Its much fun to discover the island by scooter. The hostel is at Long Beach, where you can find a lot of options to eat and have bars around for a nice evening at the beach. Also make sure to check out the night market in the north of the island. I can also recommend the snorkeling tour with Koh Rok! Overall I can fully recommend the Metallic, its friendly, clean and good located. Would come again. Best greetings Gustav

Great service, advice, warm showers, and big blank”
My trip to Thailand was on a sour note after a stay in Phuket and Ko Phi Phi. When I arrived at Koh Lanta everything changed. I was given wonderful advice, made some good friends, and throughly enjoyed exploring Koh Lanta. The Metallic is clean, it has hot showers, and big blankets which isn't always the case when you travel on a budget. The price is beyond reasonable and Mon, the owner, is the man. I hope to visit again.

Koh Lanta Oasis”
In a great central location on the island. I was a bit worried how the noise levels would be as it is located on the main busy street BUT, we ended up with a street facing room and there was absolutely no issues with sound. The front desk guy~ Sen, was overly accommodating in the absolute best of ways. He also speaks very good english & will help you in anyway to communicate things to other Thai people. There is a really cute cat named Eagle who doesn't live at the hostel but comes around most nights to visit the young boy who lives there (also very cute), this was a HUGE bonus for us as we are cat lovers. The beer & water was always cold & cheap. Our private room had a king size bed and has been the most comfortable bed we've slept in for 2 weeks!! We rented scooters right from the hostel which was very convenient & they sell gas also. They can organize trips, tours and transportation, although we didn't utilize that service. Koh Lanta, our favourite stop in Thailand <3

Exceptional”
Cool place. The staff members are the best on Koh Lanta and it's just a great traveler's atmosphere all around. It's really the only strip on Koh Lanta with any action and the only spot people were celebrating Songkran. I would have stayed longer but I got linked up with Kohubbers and just found another $5 hostel next door to that. I recommend this joint, it's fun.

Son you absolute legend! You made my stay super easy, booked us tours and transfers and recommended places to eat. I can't thank you enough! The hostel is clean and the beds are comfy. Breakfast is basic but still great. The hostel is a short walk from a beautiful beach and loads of great restaurants. Loved my stay and ended up booking an extra night!

Fantastic time!”
San (sp?) runs this hostel and he makes all the difference. He remembers everyone by name and asks how your day was. The dorms were a little cramped but it didn't bother me. The free toast and coffee/tea in the mornings was great before heading out for the day too. San was great at booking tours and giving recommendations. Bathrooms had hot water and great pressure. I never had to wait on a bathroom. A very short walk to the beach, mini mart, and many restaurants.

Best hostel for solo travelers!”
Had a great time here - it's close to Long Beach and many good restaurants and cafes. The social scene at the hostel is good - lots of solo travelers come here and there are two patios where you can always find people to hang out with. At the same time, the rooms are quiet and clean, and you will definitely sleep well. I like that we could rent scooters from the hostel.

Cozy home”
I enjoyed it very much! Sun, the hardworking receptionist, has helped me with the tours and even after some trouble with the tour company, he manage to get a refund! That was very helpful for me! The place is very clean and has toileteries, t-paper, shampoo, soups. That is not common for a Thai Hostel to provide all this! Even though the dorm was kind of packed with 4 bunks bed, but privacy is possible due to the curtains! The common area is great to relax and meet other peoples! A very cozy place to stay for longer!

Cheap, clean, friendly”
We booked this hostel last minute. It is good value as it's cheap for quite a big room (we were in private double) with private bathroom and TV. We personally didn't like the location too much. We walked 15-20mins to our preferred restaurants and beach. (Not too bad but not a nice walk on the road- especially in the heat!) The staff are welcoming and friendly and they seemed to take care about security!

Friendly, comfortable hostel ”
My stay at the Metallic hostel was pleasant, and its great that this hostel has several big common areas which makes it very friendly. The beds were comfortable with individual curtains, lights and plug points. The added bonus is that they give you free pineapple biscuits and tea/coffee for breakfast. Also they are able to book tours and transfers.

Great host Sun and perfect location”
The place is located 3 minutes walk from the beach and the best restaurants. Wishing 5-7 minutes walk I had great time in the gym and yoga class. Sun makes stay so easy and comfortable so I kept extended my stay. He will give you the best advice for any part of the island. Rooms are clean and beds are very comfy. Highly recommend this place.

Son runs an amazing place. We stayed in a private, with great aircon, great WiFi and the whole hostel has a cool vibe. He's super friendly and helpful. Rented a scooter from him too, which was convenient. Would recommend and stay here again!

Spacious Sun-Drenched Room”
The staff are the best in Thailand, so friendly and beyond helpfully accommodating. Helping to call and coordinate excursion pickups, etc. Across the street from beach entrance and full of restaurants. Very safe and fun area! There is a large common area on the 2nd floor with a refrigerator and TV set as well as a sink with balcony view. A very relaxing stay!
