Great value & location”
The Orchid has been recently renovated. Whole hotel feels fresh, new and stylish. Room excellent for price. Location fantastic, you can walk slowly anywhere in central Bournemouth or to the beach within 5-10 minutes. Staff is a pan-European mix so they don't always communicate perfectly with guests or each other, but very friendly and try their best. There are no facilities as such. Free parking though - big bonus.

Gorgeous hotel! STAY HERE!!!”
I'm always a little dubious when it comes to booking hotels after reading reviews, as I believe everyone's experience is a little different, but the Orchid Hotel really is gorgeous. Spotlessly clean, lovely relaxing ambience; gave the vibe of a spa more than a hotel! The staff where friendly and incredibly accommodating, the location to the beach was a 15 min walk so not out of the way. Cooked breakfast the following morning was divine! Hot, fresh and they even followed up a request when I asked for my egg to be cooked well done. My only qualm was that after fiddling with the aircon to turn the heating on, it took me a while to figure it out. However, I could have just called reception as I'm sure they would have been happy to assist! Really lovely hotel, after having the breakfast I wish we had dined there for dinner the night before!

Lovely weekend”
The weekend stay at the Orchid Garden hotel was very enjoyable. The decor and surroundings are lovely and with a beautiful sunny day, the garden will be a lovely place to relax. The staff were all very polite and helpful, even going out ofvtheircway to get a sewing kit for me. The room was nicely decorated, clean and tidy with a nice shower. Breakfast was good, plenty of drinks, croissants and cereals. The cooked breakfast was god to, I had full English first day, would have preferred fresh mushroom rather than tinned. Second day I had eggs Benedictus. Not enough hollandaise sauce, if any, but the eggs were perfect and it was very substantial. All in all, a lovely place and would definitely return, thank you.

Needs work”
We stayed in the building opposite the Orchid Hotel which apparently they have recently acquired. First the positive, the price, location and staff were all fantastic and the room itself was fine, although we only had a very small window so very dark. We had no hot water in the shower but in fairness the staff were great and gave us the option to move, we ended up just using the room which had a bath so that was good. The main issue with this place is the floorboards, they have obviously cut corners and in our room and all the corridors and stairs they creak very loudly so gives the impression of low quality. Breakfast was very basic but to honest the price was so good it was fine.

Overnight Stay”
My stay was convenient and relaxing and I was impressed by the efficient systems. On the negative side I thought it a pity that some of the dated furniture in my bedroom and in the dining room detracted from an otherwise excellent Hotel. I will make a point of staying again if in the area. Thank you.

first time visit”
arrived to be greeted with a smile, check in speedy. free onsite parking a bonus. Room small but very clean and functional including drink making facilities. nice hot shower - only thing missing a bath mat for safety ! Breakfast was lovely, table service with cheerful, helpful staff. Good menu plenty of options for everyone. only one small downside to the stay, the room was at the foot of the stairs and. people going up and down tended to make a lot of noise. overall all a great value for money stay. we were looking for somewhere we could stay on a regular basis, this place ticked all the boxes.

Lovely hotel ”
Lovely hotel nice decor. bathroom are beautiful loved the back lit mirrors and warm towel rail. Also like that you have plenty of tea and coffee in the room. Bit disappointing that no soya milk available even after the receptionist said she would get some in for breakfast. The waitress was very abrupt when I asked for soya even when I explained that I had been told soya would be available ( good job I had gone and purchased my own ) would have been nice to see bananas in fruit bowl too

Lovely, stylish boutique hotel”
Loved the decor, lovely staff, location was great, the place was clean and modern. Only thing we didn’t like was that the rooms weren’t sound proof, we could hear the tv in the next room from inside our room. Also we could hear and feel it (the walls would slightly shake) every time they shut the door in the next room.

Very good stay”
The stay was good for the price we paid. Only thing we were not aware the place is a B&B with no dinning facility except breakfast. But apart of that everything was great a very friendly and helpful reception team.

Perfect boutique hotel for a short break”
Had a lovely one-night break here from London. Great breakfast and staff, and gorgeous stylish interior decor made this really feel like a more luxurious boutique stay than the price suggests. Would love to return.

Check if there is a function on before you book. ”
We were only advised when checking In there was a function on that night and the only reason we were told was to let us know we couldn't use the bar. The music was very very loud, you could feel the sound vibrations in the room. We were told that management would be sending an email out apologising but this wasn't true..

Had a very pleasant stay”
Had a very pleasant stay. The reception staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. Very peaceful when I stayed there. The breakfast was fantastic and varied from a continental style breakfast to a full English. The room overlooked the pretty garden.

Our experience of our stay”
The hotel needed a good dose of TLC. Although it is an old building, mould round windows and peeling off paint round the bath panel and limescale on all the taps is not what you should expect to stay in a hotel.

Exceptional”
All perfect yet again ,food great only little niggle requested room 205 last time we checked out, the lady said she had put it on our next booking and not to change it so when arrived this time we had room 204 not a bad room but would have preferred 205 .

Quiet location”
The room was very small with barely enough space to place our luggage. The bathroom exhaust fan didn't work so the bathroom got a bit steamy when you showered. The buffet breakfast was good as they offered more that just a continental buffet and you were able to order from a limited a la carte menu. The staff were always polite but not overly warm. It is in a quiet residential neighbourhood and only about 5 - 10 minutes walk to the beach / boardwalk area or city centre for shopping or eating, where you have a choice of restaurants. There was a fire festival in the park close to the beach during our stay there.

Pleasant overnight stay”
Quite a small room, and pricey, but ok for one night. Lovely decor, clean, and good facilities in room. Shower took a few minutes to work out how to use! Curtains would be good with the blinds, to block all the daylight in the mornings. Staff helpful. Pleasant stay.

Unequal rooms”
We booked two rooms. One is good although it's small; the other room: when we arrive at the hotel, it seems that they only prepare one room for us, so, after questioned, they gave us a room without heating and it was really cold. We requested to change another room, they said it was fully booked. Afterwards, we couldn't find any hair dryer inside the room, then they changed us to another room but no keys. The second day, we were not allowed to stay in the room without keys, they want us to go back to the one without heating, I rejected. Then they gave us a third room, the room was ok but the bed was much smaller than before...
