Okay”
It was an okay stay. You need to take small stairs to get into your room if it's located in 2nd floor or beyond. Would be hard for travelers with suitcase. Comfy common room, but you need to see gps to find this hostel.

Acceptable”
+ Nice staff - toilet+shower room on 3rd floor is dirty. No place for toilet paper roll (facility issue) so some paper would just put it on the floor. - no lift and narrow stairs. not ideal for carrying large suitcase up and down (Note. they gave me a dorm room instead of a single room but no one is going to share it. This should be because of COVID but adjust your expectation accordingly)

Horrible facilities ”
Supposedly there are two bathrooms for shower. However, one of them can’t be locked that there is only one left. The shower water in the bathroom is extremely hot and I can’t shower with it. I’ve got a few bug bites after sleeping for a night. There is no bug screen for the window that bugs often fly around.

Bed bunks in my Bed. ”
Its cheap that it. I had bed bunks in my Bed and the stuff didnt care when i told them . I dont recomend anyone to stay there. I had really low expectations because i knew i cant expext much for that price , But a bed without bed bunks schuld be realistic.

Everything a backpacker needs”
So the Phoenix Hostel was quite alright. I stayed there for three nights and have to say that I was satisfied with it. The location is a little far from the center (around 1 hour on foot - I like to walk). A big advantage is the fact, that there is a Tesco right down the street. Also, the sheets were clean and the people staying there were friendly, staff included. I only wouldn't recommend the 14-people room, since it's a little crowded and there's always someone snoring... But that's not the hostel's fault. Last thing, there are lockers available, which is pretty nice. All in all, I'd recommend it to a backpacker who only needs a bed to sleep in after a long day and might want to enjoy a beer at the bar, for business travellers I wouldn't recommend it, since it's more of a young, relaxed atmosphere

Hostel with a good quality/ratio price!”
Pros: 3 tube stations within 8 minutes on foot, a Tesco and a Sainsbury with 5 minutes on foot, provides a kettle, tap water, fridge, powerful microwave oven and cutlery to cook your own dishes, the common area is inside a pub with couches, chairs and tables, very warm and comfortable, fast internet connection Cons: not enough space in rooms lockers, no burners for cooking pasta, no hooks/hangers in room

Best budget hostel for cleanness”
Good: Budget nights. Kind staffs. Might be good place for making friends Best dorm hostel for cleanliness. Bad: poor showering facility, but clean. Malfunctions found in shower head.

Good wifi. Beds are tiny. Only one plugin for entire room. Piles of dust under the bed. Good location. Nice common area.

Meh... ”
-VERY bad wifi, not the most comfortable beds, breakfast £2 extra, small rooms, "cheap" interior design, only a fridge and microwave for a "kitchen". +Free coffee in the morning, staff is Ok, low prices, in city centre.

Stay Elsewhere - Review for Private Room, Double Bed”
We walked in and the roof was leaking in two places in the lounge. There were flags draped over the ceiling to cover the sagging with a bucket on the couch to catch the dripping. The room was tiny and the bed was about 3 in (8cm) thick so you could feel (and hear) every single spring when you sat or laid down. It was the absolute worst bed I've ever slept on in my life. The bathrooms were cleaned daily but still somehow dirty and smelt. The shower shut off twice after only two minutes so we weren't even able to take a real shower. They ran out of towels, suggested we buy our own, and directed us to a store that didn't even sell towels so we ended up having to use bed sheets. They refused to refund us so we could stay elsewhere. We were told if they could rent the room, we could be refunded for the night which meant we could either risk it and possibly be charged for the room and a new place or stay. I've stayed in many many hostels and this was the worst I've ever stayed at.
