Wonderful choice for a short stay-cation”
We stayed in Deluxe Double Room with Garden View this time. The first thing that amazed me was when we first push our door’s room open, the air is cool because the aircond is operating. It makes us feel so much welcomed. Just imagine your mom knows that you will be home later and she has prepared the bed and set the air to be cool for a while. The location of this hotel is just beside a museum with a garden. In the morning, we walked to the garden and have a little jog there. It helped to warm our body up, and thus we could then dip into the pool when we walked back to Rucksack again. Last but not least, I really love the bed and linens, it’s soft and comfortable for a really good sleep. I regretted not staying more than one night in Rucksack.

hello ! i love this place . good strategic near jonkerwalk ! . the room a bit small but i satisfies . my baby and husband vey comfortable sleep ! very clean , but can hear them outside room. i want give opinion u must put sandals at bathroom . breakfast was so good and delicious. 💕💕💕 💕💕 . excellent. staff very friendly. always smile further use mask 🤣 . swimming cannot use ! many shark in swimming pool 🤣🤣. great job ! i known owner cina from sarawak . great job bos .

Short and sweet stay”
There is everything to love about this place and nothing NOT to like. Love the location which was just a stone throw away from Jonker Street. So once I parked my car, I was able to explore by foot. Staff was very friendly and very approachable. The room were super clean and love the layout, simple yet very tastefully done. I was given a room with the Garden View and I fell in love with it. Love the light that the huge window brings in. Breakfast was a bonus, to have something simple yet satisfying and convenient if one is lazy to go out and just want to enjoy their remaining stay. I would definitely return.

Melaka is quite spread out and I like to do everything on foot so this hotel was excellently located first me to walk in any direction. It is out of the hustle and bustle but maybe a 5 to 10 minute walk to Jonker street, the night market and the main tourist drag. Another direction in 10 mins you are at the mega malls and in the third direction you could take you are in a neighbourhood with nice little eateries and local life on way to little India. Room was in the small side but had everything I needed and was clean and comfortable. Staff were excellent and very friendly and kind. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Super clean with great view and helpful staffs”
We stayed here for 1 night. The check-in process was quick, we were given a tourist map which covers most of the area. It only took few steps to the Holland Church and Jonker Walking Street which are the center of Melaka. The place really made up our time here. The view is stunning right over peaceful green garden. You have access to the swimming pool at the back of the hotel. Lobby area design is also cool. Definitely will stay here again when we are back to Melaka.

I had a wonderful time at the rucksack caratel. The location is excellent, tucked away In a quiet spot just a short walk from the historical delights of Malaka. The hotel itself is a clean and comfortable place, with a quirky humorous character that is vibrant and relaxing. The room was a good size With big windows, quality fixtures and fittings, air conditioning and a good shower. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place.

The room is very nice, just as shown in the picture. The jacuzzi is comfortable, and the tub is clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. During our stay, there was water shortage in Malacca, the hotel was able to arrange a room for the guests to take shower. And they also prepared sufficient mineral water for us. Really enjoy our stay, highly recommended.

We stay here for 2 nights just for relax. We know here from the website pop up advertising. Everything was perfect. The bed was comfortable and we have a good sleep this 2 nights. Parking is limited , understand is first come first serve style. Jonker street is nearby by walking distance. Staff is great, polite, smiley, helpful. Thank you

very aesthetic interior design, i really love this kind of minimalist, clean and modern design. And there's even a free swimming pool, all the staff are super friendly, parking is kinda first come first serve basis, but no worry there are plenty of it around the hotel, i definitely will recommend all of my friends to stay here if they are visiting melaka! This place is perfect for those who prefer a hotel-like comfort at an affordable cost. Hotel room is comfortable and facilities are well-provided to provide a pleasant stay. Stay here for 1nite..booked for 5 rooms- 2caravan, 2 deluxe king & 1 standard room.. All room very comfortable, clean, Staff friendly, nice place to stay, the environment very calm & cozy.. Pool has slot (covid19) but it's ok, can choose slot.. bathroom lights do not work but the technician come immediately to fix it.. Limited parking, tv not clear,no refrigerator..

This is our XXth stay at Rucksack, lost count! It is always our top choice whenever we travel to Melaka. We love the cozy and relaxing atmosphere here. The bed and linens are clean and comfortable. Location is good, we enjoy the serene and quiet environment, but still within walking distance from Jonker (15 mins walk / 5 mins drive). We will be back!

My favourite parts are great location (just few mins away from jonker) and friendly staff. I also like that they have a pantry with drinking water provided. Provide parking, but on first come first serve basis, and the parking is actually not gated. Breakfast was very simple. The room was a little small, but clean room with nice view, overall it’s a pleasant stay

Just behind the Stadthuys, super near to all the local attraction and walking distance to jonker walk. The place itself is super clean with great helpful staffs, we arrived a little early and they offer to keep our bags while we went sightseeing. Breakfast option were not much but sufficient. Hotel compound is full with greenery & very cooling. Def will come back!

I’ve stay few times at this hotel, it is quiet and cozy, overall is good. But I hope more maintenance can be done in time, although is not a big problem but I found out one of bed spotlights wasn’t working, and the light trough in the ceiling of shower screen was abit dangling (although still working). It is just little things that could be better but not problematic. Only one frustrating thing is the parking spaces. I checked in on a Saturday around 4.30pm, so it was a hard time for me to get a near and safe parking as I was traveling alone. Had to unload my luggage first and park across the road and then move my car again at night when I spot an empty space. Although I understand it is a public parking, but just a suggestion, maybe have a look out of hotel guests checking out/ checking in with cars and notify the guests (the ones that requests for help) that there’s an empty space and block it for 10-15mins so they can move their car? Since the management got the hp number & car number plate of guests during check in, why not put into good use? And also the team can put out a sign of which parking app to pay for our parking too. I will definitely go back to this hotel, hopefully there are more improvements in future.

spacious, clean and good location ”
I booked a buddy caravan, at first I thought it would be small and squeeze for 4, but end up it is very spacious and the toilet is big as well. It's clean and comes with towels and hair dryer also the aircon is working well too.
