Love it to max”
I truely enjoyed my 3 days 2 nights weekend trip in The Shell Resort at Phu Quoc. The free breakfast and free 2 ways transports that came with the booking really make travelling to the resort an easy breezy one. Love the peaceful calm not so crowded and very near to resort private beach, love the swing on the coconut tree, love the pool, love the food. But, service at Waves Spa need to be improved. Front desk of spa was OK and friendly, but the masseuse did not really take privacy seriously. They did not put down the curtain of the massage room even when we request so, and there is a clear glass panel on the door where everyone can see us clearly from outside. And it was really my first time doing back body scrub by sitting up, and they just keep open and close the door while we were naked and waiting for our massage/scrub. Not sure if it is language barrier or just their style, but it was not a great experience and feeling very weird. But i give a 5 stars as the rest are fantastic!

This is a beautiful hotel. The resort is located a short taxi ride out of the hustle and bustle of Phu Quoc. This suited the vacation I was after as it was a more tranquil atmosphere in comparison to some of the other resorts that we saw in our stay. The pool is great. I think they would benefit from having more staff on during breakfast. As it is very busy time and they were a little slow to clean and set tables and refilling the buffet breakfast. I

Hotel is clean. hotel even provide services to book taxi for the guests. and free flow of cocktail at evening on certain times. we was not notified during check in but we found out after 2nd night of stay. i ask for an arrangement of birthday cake from the hotel to throw a suprise for my friend and the hotel suprise us with decoration in the room. overall is a good experience there but the room aircond is not cold enough fot me.

Hidden Gem”
Great location which is not too far from the city. If you prefer the standalone and not the hotel-style room, go with the villa but then you probably will tradeoff with the sea view. You have all the privacy if you're staying in the villa and even when i'm staying pretty near to the reception, it's just a 3 mins walk to the restaurant and beach. Beach is pretty small but good enough to take some good photos. I went during the rainy season so the pool bar was not open but the compound is less crowded. Bike rental is available from the reception which costs less than USD10 a day. Overall, i enjoyed my stay there and probably consider staying there again.

Perfect stay for a day or two”
The beach was nice. The staff were amazing. The food was varied but not great except for the desserts. There was a mistake made by the receptionist and the manager corrected it right away. When I enquired about the reason for changing my room since it didn't look like the picture, they offered to show me the original room and they were willing to move me to the room I saw on Agoda. All in all, I was very pleased with the service of the hotel and impressed with the professionalism of the manager.

Almost perfect!”
This is my 2nd visit to the Shells. The first time they only had one main building facing the ocean and now the place is well populated with many villas. I must say I am well impressed with how much has been improved since my first visit. Staff were friendly and always went out of the way to help you. The room is impeccably clean and well appointed. We had a slight issue with the TV remote but it wasnt a deal breaker and we did not use the TV at all during our stay. Due to a booking mishap I ended up booking a non refundable villa a week earlier than intended, but the Shells reservation staff was kind enough to extend the booking for me and I was only charged the first night. My son loved the buggy rides and in some occasions the buggy staff were happy to extend his ride which was very generous of him. Only thing I would like to comment is the food. While many things have improved, the food didnt. The a la carte menu and breakfast spread remained uninspiring (and expensive)

We felt like Royalty”
We stayed here for my birthday during our trip to Asia. I received Two birthday cakes and had a relaxing time. It rained two out of three days we were there, but thats to be expected during monsoon season. I loved our bungalo, the bed was extremely comfy and the bathroom and tub was pure luxury. We loved our waitress Doe, and the rest of the staff also provided anything we needed happily. We enjoyed swimming at the multiple pools (although the pool bars weren't open for obvious weather reasons) and had the place to ourselves a lot of the time. We rented scooters from the front desk and braved the traffic :)

It's worth the price”
Pros: Came to Phu Quoc during rainy season. Therefore, there weren't many things to do much on this island but this resort has saved our trip. The room was very nice, private and clean. Love the bathtub and the huge bed. They provided many things for you so you don't need to bring much in your luggage: 6 Towels, umbrellas, and even lint brush,.. Staffs were very helpful. The pool was big and nice, I love the pool lounge chairs which were under water. The beach was okay and quite rocky. Didn't see any bar open during my stay. Pick-up car at the airport was punctual. I wish they had cocktails menu inside the room but the mini bar was okay enough. Cons: The only thing I would complain is our bike that we rented was not in good condition, even we paid quite a lot for 2 days (250.000vnd a day). The raincoat they provided was also smelly and not clean.

Very good experience at the Shells resort & spa. The room was exceptional and the staff were very helpful and accommodating if we needed anything extra in our room and responded very quickly. I would recommend this to anyone travelling to phu quoc who wants to be close to Duong Dong (10mins Sarah by taxi), have a choice of 2 swimming pools to enjoy and also have the luxury of being on the beach. I will definitely be staying with you again! Thank you to everyone at The Shells for such a fantastic 3 nights!

100% satisfied with the pool villa room ”
i stayed in the pool villa room for 2 nights, and it was quiet, clean, spacious, comfortable ! my friend and i were 100% satisfied with the room ! (we moved to the ocean view room for the last night, but i recommend the pool villa room.) FYI, the main swimming pool closes at 9pm.

Wonderful Getaway”
This resort is magical. We are staying two weeks and the staff is so helpful and kind. The food is good and the pool fantastic. There are nice size rooms with beach and pool view and there are separate pool villas. There is a lot of privacy here and you feel like you are away from it all! We have tried both and enjoyed thoroughly! Don't miss out. We will be back!

We spent a relaxing and unforgettable 5D4N for our Phu Quoc trip. Spacious room with greenery environment surrounding our villa. Strategy location to view the beautiful sunset from the infinity swimming pool. Varity breakfast buffet and the in house ala carte menu are delicious too. There are live band musician and singer for the dinner section at the beach front restaurant and provided free flow mocktail & red wine from 7pm-8pm daily. Just drink as much as you can! Friendly staff with fluent English speaking. They located us at the villa which is nearby restaurant as we travel along with baby and surprising us with the complimentary birthday cake for our little one! They are so loving and caring. Heartwarming and appreciated for their special arrangement. Free buggy service from your villa to reception/restaurant. Located at the hidden gem nearby Ong Lang beach which is 10 minutes drive via motorbike renting from hotel (VDN150,000 for 4 hours) or by private taxi. Highly recommend The Shells Resort & Spa to those who are looking for a serene and good atmosphere 4 star hotel at Phu Quoc!!!

Nice resort with friendly staffs”
I stayed in a deluxe villa with garden view. The room was very beautiful with separated garden, everything was clean and nice. TV didn't have many choices and could not connect to internet. Staffs were super friendly and helpful. There were also electronic buggy buses to move around in the resort. Shuttle bus between airport and resort was also provided freely. The beach was not a plus, small and boring. The location was quite faraway from landscapes, foods, and other beautiful resorts of Phu Quoc (took you around $4 to go to Phu Quoc's night market by cab).

We've been travelling to a few a different resort in Phu Quoc. And this by far the best experience. Room are very spacious, good breakfast and the resort restaurant have really nice food. Drinks are not over price and they even provide free cocktails in the evening for guests. We will definitely come back.

Superb”
Very good resort. Had a great time here. Private Beach is clean and the pool is great. View is great. Spa and massages also ok. Location near to town, many taxi available and the charges is very reasonable. You can book day trip with the taxi too. Breakfast is great as they change menu everyday. Complimentary drink during certain period of the day (Would be great if they could extend a bit more LOL). Buggy service is available, but sometime takes too long. Need to improve on this.

Not many variety for breakfast but A la carte menu is nice. Interior facility is worn out a bit. The hotel should provide room guest with flip flop for pool/beach usage. Beach is small but swim-able. Flexible for early check in if room available. However, extra charge for children makes room rate higher than other hotels which offer free stay for 2 children under 16.

Cons: unfortunately 1 beach I would never swim in as it’s too close to town and despite the resorts best efforts - there’s too much floating rubbish. Not their fault - the town’s fault. I love this resort and have been coming since it first opened in late 2014. I travel to VN a lot and it is one place I always try to get to at the end of my trip to relax before traveling home. This trip we had intended to stay 5 nites but got caught up in travel bans and had to leave early. They were totally understanding and sympathetic to our situation. I wish all the lovely staff the best in these hard times. See you again when things clear up.

Pleasant stay with top notch service! ”
Had an enjoyable stay there for 3 nights! The garden villa room was really comfortable with a private pool. Totally worth the price! Each and every staff we met there was really helpful and attentive. If you're looking for a relaxing stay, this is the place for you! Only downside for us would be the location, as there's nothing much in the vicinity and everywhere else is only accessible via cabs. But bonus point is the cabs are easily available at any time. Would definitely revisit!
