Find hotels near Trad City Center in Trat, Thailand

Very friendly small hotel on edge of Trad town. Good value for money, clean, basic but well arranged rooms and good swimming pool. Trad is the local regional town for wider access to Cambodia border, local industries-fishing, agriculture ( rubber and pineapples) and islands of Koh Chang etc. Trad however is about 30km away from the airport to Koh Chang ferries connection. We booked the Hotel as we couldn't see how we easily connect to make the last ferries to Koh Chang. Found out that a good system exists to connect even late flights into Trad airport to ferries and then accommodation on Koh Chang.

Stayed at this hotel for a break for 2 nights between travelling from Cambodia and on to Koh Chang. It is relatively new. Rooms are small but satisfactory. Ideally situated to walk to Bus Station or to stock up with bits and pieces at Tesco Lotus. Breakfast good. Excellent swimming pool. Very helpful staff. Restaurant on same complex. At the end of the day it is a city hotel so holiday makers are not likely to stay there long, but it is an ideal hotel to have a stop over on your way to a beach resort. We broke our journey in Trat in order to get our own bus tickets for the 'Big bus' back to Bangkok a couple of weeks later. (On our previous visit to Koh Chang we had booked Big bus tickets at an agency on the island. They assured us we would be on the 'Big bus' but when we got to the bus station they had booked us on a mini bus fully knowing that we wanted to be on a 'big bus' but that once we had crossed on the ferry there would be nothing we would be able do about it. )

Room # 216 ( Deluxe Sea View ) > Via Agoda paid 1,250 Baht Firstly the 'Sea View' rooms are Mangrove Forest view rooms - See photo attched :) We enjoyed Everything about this Resort.... It is about a 20 Minute drive away from Trat city centre. We had a car, but the Owners will collect you from Trat city centre and return you. The Rooms are JUST as you see on the booking Websites = Great news. The concrete wall units were built new just 2 years ago plus the wooden units keep the original Thai wooden look but newly renovated just 1 Year ago. The Units are built very very well, to a high standard of design and were a pleasure to stay in - Everything worked that we needed and touched :) There was 1 x Power Outlet at each side of the bed for your Technology. We had dinner here and we had the whole restaurant ( and staff to ourselves ) - Food was great - Prawn cakes, whole Fish and Crab curry. The hotel is located not too far from Trat city center. Hotel is very clean. Staffs are polite and helpful. The price is a bit expensive. Overall good hotel to take rest before heading off to Koh Kood in the morning.

With clean rooms, fridge, TV and good AC and WiFi, spacious bathrooms, nice staff and buffet breakfast included, this is always my first choice hotel in Trad. And wonderful coffee shop and Thai food nearby. 10/10.

Absolutely no cons whatsoever. Top-notch place for my stopover after 2 weeks in Koh Chang before moving on back to Pattaya. Room was large and superbly furnished and I really enjoyed my 4 nights stay. Tu (the owner) goes out of his way to help you, and his staff are so nice and pleasant as well. Don't hesitate, choose the Rimklong Boutique Hotel if you spend anytime in Trat/Trad City!

The bed was super comfortable, the room clean, and staff really nice. The free coffee was awesome! Hotel is too far from city center to walk to the night market, and the walk from the bus station was on a busy road with no side walk. Great for people with a car though. Bathroom smelled of sewer so we had to keep the door shut. Staff said a repair man would come fix the wax ring under the toilet to fix the odor but who knows if it was repaired?

the place is pretty new, with nice, fresh rooms. we stayed here to stage our return from koh mak to bkk, as we did not trust that we could return from the island to bkk in one day, given it was off-season. this place is isolated from the next wide-spot-in-the-road, so pick up anything you need in trat center before staying here. other than the typically poor wifi, this place is fine. don't expect much for breakfast. again, the only reason we stopped here was to be relatively near tdx airport, there's nothing near here otherwise, at least that we noticed.

Nice staffs & Clean Room & Delicious food! I love Minimal-Loft Style. Ah! You have to use google map to find location cuz it’s a bit hard to find by yourself. :D I’ll be back if I go to Trad again!

I have stayed here with my family for ONE night during Songkran Festival because of bad manner staff. Otherwise, I prefer to stay longer in this hotel. I have called directly to hotel staff. 09.00 AM - I have called her for reserving the room on 13 Apr 2015, only one night for 3 adults as a family, in the morning of 09 Apr 2015. She said that please wait for a moment and she will call me back after rechecking with room availabilities. No any response 17.30 PM - I have called her again in order to be a friendly reminder. She talked to me only few seconds and her personal phone was ringing. She excused herself to pick up that call and left me hold the line almost two minutes. (I heard she talk with her friend amusingly, which is I thought that she completely forgot my call already.) After that she got back to my call and said to me that "Please give her 5 more minutes and she would call me back" So, I calm myself and wait for her call. She didn't ever call me back, which is extremely terrible reservation ever in my entire life!!! Very Disappointed! After that I decided to stay here because my family wants me to book here. This hotel is well-located in the city center. It is absolutely new hotel and very clean, neat and tidy.I booked this hotel through Agoda.com Lastly, I have faced her already and not surprisingly why she have treated clients with a bad manner. I figured it out now.

Perfect larger family room option. Good breakfast and very friendly staff (compared to what Lonely Planet said about them). Lovely restaurant area and also close to night markets

My partner and I had a wonderful stay here. The hotel is stunning, large and tastefully decorated. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable (had a great nights sleep on that bed!). But what stood out to us the most was the excellent customer service that exceeded our expectations. We stayed the night before Soncran festival and needed to get to Koh Kood the next day without booking in advance- all boats were fully booked for the next two days. Ken was so helpful and tried everything he could to book us a boat on such short notice. A few hours later he let us know that he had managed to find a way to get us there and even personally drove us where we could get a tuk tuk. We were blown away by such excellent customer service and genuine helpfulness of staff. Complimentary toast and coffee in the morning was a lovely touch. And for great Pad Thai for dinner, head across the road. We would definitely recommend this place and it would be our first choice if ever staying in Trat again!

Me and my girlfriend stayed at hotel 101 for two days, before our trip to Koh Chang. We were welcomed by Kajit on a tablet, and his mother and little sister, who where there in person. From the very start, they were extremely welcoming and it very quickly felt, like we were at home. They were all determined to make us feel at home, and give us the best experience as possible. This was illustrated with the fact, that Kajit was available 24/7 on phone, if we had any questions. He even fixed a bus to come get us, to take us to the ferry for Koh Chang. When it was time to go to Koh Chang, Kajits mother went to the market and surprised us with coconut water for the trip. They were all so welcoming, that we were a bit sad, that we didn’t spend more than two days with them. The location is perfect by the way, right in the center of the city.

Very large and nicely designed cabins. Short walk to a very nice and large swimming pool. There is a restaurant next to reception that caters mostly to room service. Breakfast wasn't very good probably because the resort wasn't very full. Not many restaurants in the vicinity. We stayed there (Trad) because of its vicinity to the Koh Chang ferries. Would definitely stay there again.

Let's start by saying the hotel owners are such friendly, lovely and helpful people. We felt at home immediately. They helped out with our luggage and showed us to our room. After, one the owners played pool (8-Ball) with us, while the other had some drinks and chatted with us, which was a lot of fun. She had made a wonderful crab curry there too! Delicious! After a few beers (at the lowest price of LEO's I've seen at any hotel) we slept great and got up reasonably early the next day to go for a swim at the pool area which also seemed within a stones' throw away from the beach Originally we had booked it merely so that we could take the ferry to Koh Chang the morning after, and arrived at the place at about 20:00 (8 PM). However, really want to stay there longer next time. In the dark, it looked nice with literally everything brand new and beautifully built. The bathrooms especially nice.! Check-out was so easy and the taxi to the pier was on time & cheap too. Would recommend!

Our stay at the Ban Sulada Guest House was great. We arrived too late for the ferry to Ko Chang and stayed the night in Trat to catch the early ferry. The owner was very friendly and provided a lot of great information. The place was very well designed. I highly recommend this place and plan to tell all friends headed that direction about this guest house.

If you are visiting Trat as a tourist, the best street to stay on is the one running parallel to the canal directly to the north. From the offerings on this street, Yotin is the best hands down. They only have 5 rooms and you’ll never meet friendlier hosts than Mr. Yotin and his wife. You have a great restaurant for breakfast right across the street and the night market and city center are within a short walk. The WiFi also works well. Great value for money, highly recommended!

This resort is located next to the pier in Trat. We checked in and chilled out. The resort upgraded us to a little wooden cabin and prepared us for our island trip. The owners were very friendly. After the check in we unpacked, chilled by the pool, had some food and drank some coffee. That evening we played snooker. Yes, they had a full size snooker table!  We slept amazing here, the cabin had all the modern day appliances such as a TV, air conditioning and lots of windows. we casually woke up to the sound of birds, had breakfast and then walked to the boat. Super practical.

Very friendly and helpful service. Situated in the city centre of Trat. Unfortunately only had fans and not air conditioning.

We really enjoyed our 2 day stay at Chuttong Resort. The family from Great Grand Father to Great Grand some were all a pleasure to stay with. They graciously picked us up at the airport and then again took us to the ferry pier. We upgraded to the room closest to the sea for the first night. It has a great view of Koh Chang and the sunset. If we have a reason to stay on the mainland again before we head to Koh Chang this will definitely be where we stay.

friendly staff. funky rooms. and close to the little center of trat. trat is not a beauty but a funny hide away for tourist that are tired of beaches and tempels or want to transfer to the next island

a nice resort, the fercility is a little bit old. but it is too far away from the down town, it will cost a lot of time to take a mini-bus to the pier. if you are intended to spend your holiday at the seaside,it is not a good place to stay. if you want to stay far away from city termoil, it is a good option. the restaurant opposite the resort provides marvelous food, the hostess named bloom is very considerate.

Really nice hotel, lovely design and great attention to detail. Right on the river, away from the hustle and bustle of Trat but only 5 minutes walk to the centre. Best of all, the staff! Friendly and welcoming, took time to explain where thins were and recommend restaurants. Highly recommend

I booked randomly not expecting much. Pop actually came to pick us at Trat bus station at 10pm and managed to cook us Thai noodle. She made her best to have a pleasant stay. The resort is located out of the city very close to the river and surrounded by nature it's really nice. There are differents size of bungalows and we were in the small once which are already big enough, clean with a good shower. The breakfast was great with eggs, toast, jam, butter, self service coffee and tea. At the time we had to leave Pop drove us to her second guesthouse so we could take a free car to go to the pier and take the boat to Ko Kut. I will definetly came back if i can and recommmend this place.

We stayed here 2 nights enroute to Koh Kut, good decision. This is a nice family run place with helpful staff. We booked our onward ferry tickets to Koh Kut with them, picked up outside the door. We had a second floor balcony room overlooking the street. The room was clean with everything we needed & included a fridge. The markets (night & day) are only about a 10 minute walk away. The morning market has some nice local breakfast options if you want to eat with the locals. If passing through again, would stay here again.

I decided to stay a night in Trat, after a long journey from the north to Thailand, before to go to Ko Chang. I have to say I received one of the best customer service I ever had. I didn’t have the pleasure to meet in person Oom, but by WhatsApp she suggested me the cheapest way to reach the hotel, the best way to reach the pier, where to eat. They also gave me a bike to reach the village close by and her mum took me to the pier the morning after. Everyone was so sweet and friendly. If you travel to ko Chang and you want to stay in a place close by the pier, that’s the best. The cottage was simple, clean and the location super silent. Good value for the money. I had a very good sleep after 9 hours of travel. Thanks Oom, I hope to meet you in person next time I’ll travel to Trat!

Lovely stay, even if the bathroom did turnnout to be more or less part of the bedroom (no door). However, the bed was comfy, and we were well tucked in for the night. The woman at the front desk is lovely, and helped us book our onwards fare to Koh Kut.
