Great location right next to Balham tube and train stations. This does however mean that you are likely to hear trains going past. The windows don't open (my room had a fan and heater to compensate). Neither of these things bothered me but something to be aware of if you want a quiet location or fresh air.

Friendly Helpful Staff”
Short stay ( three nights). Good location, staff very friendly & made me feel very welcomed! Facilities good, although would have really loved to have had a bigger bathroom with bath! Would have been good to have a wider choice of teas for guests. Complimentary biscuits also, would have been welcomed . I think fresh towels should left in rooms after each night of guests stay. Overall a reasonable place for a short break!

We have stayed here quite a few times. It is in a great location. I have to particularly mention the cleaning staff as each time we stay the rooms are immaculate. Room 10 this time. A slight rumble from the tube but did not disturb. us.

Baltham Travelodge ”
You couldn't get a better location, it was next door to Balham station so easy to get to places on the northern line. It was very quiet,our room was at the back of the hotel. Some good shops and cafes close by. The area had a nice, safe feel to it even at night. The facilities were basic but very clean and functional. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only thing to change for me would be the pillows but that's a very minor point, would recommend as a good place to stop for a busy break in London.

Next to Balham station. Convenient, but get a quiet room. Room fine for a budget hotel, but windows do not open, so no fresh air. On-street parking, where you can find it. Staff helpful with special (disabled) needs

Handy but not comfortable!”
Booked our daughter into the Balham Tl. Said the rooms were stuffy, windows don’t open for fresh air. Fan supplied but made little or no difference. Beds not that comfortable. Writing this on her behalf as I booked the rooms for them under my email add. Our son has also stated there, same feedback.

Good hotel but poor customer service - beware!”
I have actually stayed in this hotel several times and have always enjoyed my stay but this time I was disappointed - it was all due to miscommunication and poor customer service. I was told twice - by two different members of staff that I could store my bags on the day I checked out. I checked twice as I made plans on the day of check out specifically to ensure that my luggage would be stored and then on check out was informed that this service was not available. The staff member was very disrespectful towards me and would not listen. Beware when booking as the customer service may impede on your trip the way it did on mine. I was so upset and it ruined the last day of my trip. I would like to note that not all the staff we like this and I found Darota to be really helpful. I hope the hotel can rectify this and look forward to hearing from them.

Late arrival which was our making but no working key available for the room so the staff member had to keep opening the doors for us. Be aware that the hotel is next to the railway so you hear every train which passes

Noise and vibration from passing trains was unacceptable. Room was too warm and there were no instructions on how to lower the temperature. the window was not openable and therefore not an option

Very basic hotel. No facilities, room was very small and no opening window or air conditioner. They don’t top up rooms or attend to them during the stay. Staff were quite standoffish when asking any questions. Still paying London prices though.

Highly recommend for budget conscious ”
Great value for money. Very clean and secure room. Comfy bed with soft sheets. Basic shower. Underground directly across the road. Will definitely stay again.
