GREAT VALUE - IMMACULATE ROOMS-FRIENDLY STAFF”
Stayed one night on 16/5, accessible room on ground floor was absolutey lovely. Immaculate fresh decor, super comfy beds, huge room (double bed and single) with separate toilet and shower. Bright, airy, clean (lovely crisp white sheets), coffee and tea in room with quality TV and plenty of space for clothes - and a table at the window to watch the world go by. Superb value - lovely gentleman on reception said "you're gonna love it" - and he was right!!! Highly highly recommend .

The staff were lovely. The deluxe king room was grim. The curtains were drab, the wallpaper was peeling off the wall, there was a hole in the radiator grill and a large stain was in the middle of the sofa. This hotel definitely needs updating and renovating. The bathroom was very clean but the rusting pedal bin let it down. I have stayed here some years ago hence my booking but was a little disappointed.

The room looked like it had been refurbished to a good standard but sadly a few things let it down. A smell of damp in the bathroom TV had finger prints all over it, needed a good clean. Rusty bin lid in bathroom, dust in corners of bathroom floor. Bedside table draw unable to close. Hard pillows so uncomfortable night. Shame as potentially this could be a fantastic room.

No mattress cover and mattress stained, discovered on our last night. Woken by noise of doors several times until the early hours. Only one light over the bed working. No grab rail over the bath. Net curtain very grubby. Drawers not cleaned out. General standard of cleanliness bad. Tables and floor in dining room need cleaning. Also there was a ver bad odour in the annexe. Would like to add the few members of staff that we did meet were very nice. It would not take a lot to raise the standards.

The hotel is in a good location with good parking. The room l occupied needed a proper clean and re decorating it was very noisy with others arriving very late, and lots of door slamming by smokers at all times of day and night.

I was planning to stay for few nights,but the place was dirty. There was black hair in the bathroom, soap stains in the shower. In the bedroom area the carpet had many stains, same with walls and desk. Bedding was washed but there were some old stains on the pillowcases, duvet and mattress. I moved the bed as there was something sticking out and saw what looked like a year worth of litter- used face mask, cigarette buds and used tissue. Mirrow had big marks on it. I mentioned it to the man on reception and he promised someone will do a deep cleaning in the morning. I slept quite poorly and left this place in the morning. Decided to find somewhere else to stay. Came back to the room after 'clean' and not much was changed. I left the room straight away and stayed the night somewhere else. No refund or apology.

King bed was broken on arrival, not a good start. In fairness it was fixed the next day, and the bed was clean and comfy. Horrible smell in the bathroom from the drains - plug cover moved in the shower to reveal filth - so obviously not being cleaned properly. Drip marks on the edge of the drawer of the bedside cabinet. Marks on the carpet - although it looked new. Tea and coffee and biscuits supplied - were probably the best thing about the room!

Heating not working or switched on in the room. Called back a few days later to ask about mobile phone charger cable |I'd left in room.. Wasn't really interested & asked to call back at 2pm when cleaners are in. I was driving at time so unable. So I was passing on 4 March & so popped in. Rang bell & waited 10 minutes but no one came to reception!!! I WOULD NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN OR RECOMMEND IT !!!!!!

It's advertised as having been renovated, having a restaurant and bar, it has NONE. i think the outside must have been renovated not the inside, it has a vending machine in the entrance ! Would not recommend nor stay again.

Friendly owner. But.... room definitely needed a deep clean. Fag ends on window sill,toilet brush dirty,loose floor tile in bathroom,shower handle hanging off,drawer fell off in my hand. Plenty of tea coffee etc and the bonus was it was very quiet.
