Amazing Family Hotel and Stay ”
I booked two rooms and just gonna leave a second review here. You can't beat the price and value!! Can't stress it enough, Zini will help you arrange everything and also plan out your day so you can relax and just sightsee Ninh Binh!! I had a wonderful stay at Tuan Ngoc, this hotel is amazing if you're staying in the Tam Coc area. You really can't beat the price and value to be honest. True the hotel is a bit off the main road, but the quietness and friendly staff you cannot beat. Zini and her family hotel goes above and beyond to make sure you're having a comfortable stay. I strongly recommend you to stay here if you're coming to Ninh Binh area, save your money and stay here instead !!

perfect and lovely stay!”
We decided to stay in Tam Coc, 'cause we have read that it would be better than Ninh Binh. It was great!!! Tam Coc is a quiet and little village, rice fields, river and caves. We stayed in Tuan Ngoc Hotel for 3 days (2 nights) and these were our best days in Vietnam. A lovely family manage the hotel. There were so kind. They help us with suggestion to organize every thing. They also invited us for a dinner together. Amazing night!

Lovely hotel, staff go over and above”
We had a brilliant night in tuan ngoc hotel. The room was very clean, and brilliant value for money. The hotel itself is nicely furnished, tucked away just off the main road in Tam coc, easily accessible to everything whilst still feeling like an idyllic little haven. We cycled 3 minutes to the dock at tam coc in the morning and got on the boat before all the tourists arrived from Hanoi. They have a terrace to eat your free breakfast and drink your free coffee looking out over a little river. We had dinner there too and it was nice, and cheap. What really made our stay was the staff. They bent over backwards for us; when we came back soaked from the rain waiting for our night bus they gave us coffee and let us shower in their own quarters. The bus ticket was also 50000 cheaper than the others were selling it for. The service really was second to none, just a shame we couldn't stay longer! Will definitely stay here if we ever return to Tam coc!

Genuine hospitality”
We had a great stay. Ginny, the manager, is extremely warm and helpful. Unlike some people in the tourist industry in Vietnam, she genuinely wants her guests to have a great experience. We needed to buy onward train tickets, and Ginny offered to go to Ninh Binh stain to buy them for us, but was honest about the fact that she would charge a small commission for her time, but we could get them cheaper online. In other words, she didn't only care about making aa quick buck. We rented bikes and ride around the Tam Coc countryside. Beautiful scenery everywhere, shame about the heavy pollution. If the pollution problem is not addressed, tourists will still coming and put great hotels like Tuan Ngoc out of business.

True kindness and care”
We chose the Tuan Ngoc Hotel based on budget and its fantastic reviews, but still amazed by this little hotel. The hotel is run by Ginny and her lovely family. The rooms are large, comfortable and have everything you'd expect. We found the location to be perfect. It's quiet and relaxing and a few minutes by bike to nearly every thing there is to see in Tam Coc. Upon arrival they took the time to explain to us what places to visit and how to get there (including map) Their restaurant is small and everything is prepared fresh for you when you order. We found it to be better of the food we had outside of the hotel. And Ginny prepares some really nice fresh ginger tea! But what we appreciated most was their kindness and care for us. They made us feel like we were part of their family. Would we stay here again? Most definitely!

Awesome family run hotel in a beautiful setting. ”
Absolutely loved the Tuan Ngoc Hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond what was expected. The day we checked out we went exploring the surrounding area. When we returned to pick up our bags, we were offered a room to shower in and nap if need be. The surroundings of the hotel are stunning and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for our time in Tam Coc. Would definitely stay here again if we are ever back in the area.

We had a few issues with our room, the aircon unit leaked. But the staff and the manager Ginny were very good at fixing the problem, relocating us in another room. 1 thing they should do is to get their waiter to learn English or French. We had a few errors in orders, and it was hard to ask for a spoon. But it's not a big issue, as he is nice and polite, and the staff in general is very friendly and helpful. The location is awesome. Ninh Binh town doesn't have much to offer, this hotel is much closer to all there is to see. Skip Tam Coc and head to Hang Mua for a much more interesting view. And the hotel is a little remote, but only 10 minutes walk from town, which makes it quiet yet accessible. Thank you very much, we had our best days in Vietnam!

We really enjoyed our stay at Tuan Ngoc Hotel. They were very courteous, and helped us for all intents and purposes. they have an own restaurant with delicious food and there are lots of things to visit in Tam Coc, so you can rent a bicycle at the hotel and do a tour through the wonderful landscape.

Exceptional”
would reccomend staying here! we arrived at 10pm and orignainlly booked Tuan Ngoc hotel but they had over booked and moved us down the street to Tamcoc Bungalows. So so nice and no extra charge! Breakfast was so fresh! Noodles, rice, pancakes, eggs, honey bananas fried, bread, salad, juices... as much as you like! and you sit out in front of the lake, amazing. The staff are so friendly and try help you as much as possible. They advise you where you go and where to avoid in the country. They let us leave our bags for the day while we waited for the bus.

Family-run hotel standing in a wonderful place”
We stayed 4 nights in this hotel, and we loved our stay. The rooms are clean (we stayed in 2 different rooms). They don't have a fridge and aren't decorated, but it is not what you are expecting for while staying in this kind of hotel. The view from the 3rd floor is amazing, and we enjoyed all our meals on the terrace upstairs, facing the rice paddies and the mountains. The food is good at a very reasonable price, everything is cooked on order, there are 20 minutes waiting time, the right time to enjoy a beer ! The staff is very helpful and kind, and they even have bicycles with a baby seat ! As mentioned before, all around is the countryside, so don't expect to sleep very late, but you are on the right place to reach beautiful sites, such as Hang Nuah or the Bich dong pagodas.

Good Option In TamCoc”
The Tuan Ngoc Hotel ticks all the boxes, it is about a ten minuite walk from town and about three minuites from Chookies Bar which is the best place in town for an afternoon drink. The breakfast was quite good,while we didn't eat dinner there the restuarant had plenty of options. The couls organise transfers or day trips at competitive prices.

I booked too much time in Tam Coc. I tend to travel slowly since I am in north vietnam for three months. Almost everyone just does an overnight here which is just about right to see all there is to see. Tam Coc is set up as a tourist trap. It is the first place in vietnam I have encountered the two price system and it feels really bad. I come to vietnam to experience the presence of it's People for Whom I have so much respect. Because the scene here is to exploit tourists the people are not so naturally friendly and open. I feel their inate dignity is largely missing here. They are used to bus loads of fancy tourists unloading for a few hours and then being whisked off, never to be seen again. All that said I would recommend this hotel. It belongs to a multi generational family. Jinny the young woman who pretty much runs the show doing everything from cleaning, cooking, and making tourist arrangements for you is very good at English. Her mother speaks French. They keep the place really clean. Very high standards. They are friendly and quiet. This place is a great place to catch up on your sleep. The bed was the most comfortable lve had in six weeks in vietnam so far. And the pillows are wonderful. But it is simple. There is no tv, fridge or kettle in the rooms. The breakfast is from plenty of choices on a menu and really good. It is located a short and beautiful walk from the centre of the town. I would rewind this hotel.

Perfect Stay in Tam Coc”
Very happy with all aspects of our stay. The hotel is very well situated, within 10 minutes walk of the Tam Coc lakeside, in a quiet and scenic area. Room was clean and comfortable, A/C worked fine, hot shower. A wide choice of breakfast items are included in the room rate which helps make this place excellent value for money. Lunch and dinner were very good, too. The family who run the hotel are very friendly and helpful. Free bicycles available for easy exploration of the area. Overall, we were delighted with our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Great location just next to Tam Coc Scenic area”
We very much enjoyed our stay at this family run guesthouse/hotel. The rooms were simple, but large, very clean and comfortable. Staff were really nice and helpful. The hotel is just next to the Tam Coc scenic area, which is very beautiful. It is possible to rent motor bikes or bikes from the hotel. There is a large choice of breakfast dishes and the food (lunch/dinner) is excellent.

Homestay feeling!!”
If you want to check out Tam Coc area this is the best place to stay! It is a hotel with a homestay feel with the most hospitable family host ever! Motorbike rental is 150k vnd and bicycle is for 40k vnd per day. They even told us to take care of ourselves first before the motorbike - they care for their guests and not just all about business. Great and affordable food, great assistance on how to go around the area. They even gave us snacks for the train ride when we left. Best accommodation experience ever!
