We stayed here initially for one week but finally prolonged it once and going to do so one more time totaling overall time spend in Da Lat of 3+ weeks. Before we stayed in another hotel in Da Lat center and studied through Agoda/Booking/AirBnB all options nearby Tuyen Lam Lake. We like calm and relaxed leisure outside of noisy locations. Terracotta is the best hotel in Dalat for us meeting all our requirements. It has a fantastic park cultivated with love and taste. Placed right on the shore of the Tuyen Lam Lake, it provides you great opportunity to start your morning with the walk having water on the one side and pine-trees forest from the other. The service - both standards and attitude to guest - are superior, we are feeling ourselves like at home. We found "our place" in Vietnam and for sure will come back there not one time. The Dalat Edensee, I booked a Deluxe Lake View room - 100% worth it. It truly deserves its #1 spot on Agoda and Trip Advisor. From the moment i made the booking and corresponded with the reservations officer (Ms. Thuy Trang) til the time i left, i had been left impressed and very satisfied with their levels and commitment to staying true to their mission of "Come. Stay. Experience". From the very beginning right till the end, it was safe to say that we were treated with utmost warmth. Amongst all the properties i have stayed in, Edensee indeed ranks as the top on my list. *** First Impressions - My first impression had already been good. As my fiancee and i would have stayed in Dalat for 2 nights prior already, i enquired with the hotel if they would be able to pick me up from my previous hotel. Ms. Thuy Trang, who handled my enquiry, not only gave me a warm reply, she gladly arranged for a car to pick my fiancee and I up from the hotel's doorstep. Our "WOWs" began the moment we stepped into the car - A luxurious Executive Car with bottled water and a welcome letter started out ride into Edensee on a good note. Ride into Edensee - The Hotel is located in a remote area away from the City Center and it is almost impossible to find your way there unless you took a cab in. But as we were picked up by a Limo, we had that covered. The view of the Tuyen Lam Lake in was Fantastic. The moment we drove into the main property itself, we were both floored at the beauty and span of the property. Beautiful private European Style villas dotting the landscape. Magnificent. Check in and Rooms - Check in was warm, fast and friendly. The moment we checked in, the front office arranged a club car to transport us and our luggage to our villa. The rooms are spacious, luxurious and beautiful, the toilets - mindblowing. Personal jacuzzi, rain showers all with a magnificent, beautiful view of the lake and the Pine Wood Forest!

I stayed here 3 days with my baby and we enjoyed the kids' swimming pool, warm pool and my baby can walk around safely ( she started to walk recently). The Deluxe room was spacious and glass window *(with curtain) between bedroom and toilet. Breakfast was nice ( cheese, croissant and yogurt for children), the restaurant has chairs and can make rice porridge for children. There is also fish and chips. We had a free ride with electric car into the gold field. car rental service of the hotel is as cheap as taxi but they have nicer cars. It cost 8 eurs to have a round trip to Tuyen Lam lake or Truc Lam pagoda where you can have sightseeing. Bike rental is also available ( did not use this service so not sure if it is free). Overall, excellent service, nice view and fresh air. ( although can be greener, hopefully). Definitely come back!

We had a very pleasant stay at this place. The villa's surroundings were beautiful and well kept, with gardens full of flowers, with a great view of Tuyen Lam lake. The staff were very friendly and professional. Breakfast food can be improved but we didn't expect much so it was ok. Bicycles can be rented for free to explore the resort. Room was very clean. Resort located about 7km away from city center but there's free shuttle bus running thrice daily. Getting a taxi is relatively easy too, costing around US$5-7 per trip. Highly recommendable for people who want a getaway from busy city life. Would definitely return if current pricing remains.

All the staffs are nice and gentle to us. I felt like living at home by their warm welcome. Besides, the scenery is really beautiful, lots of free activies along the area and Tuyen Lam lake. Would stay here again next time when we go back to Dalat.

The resort had nice room and beautiful garden surround. Location beside Tuyen Lam lake, farway noise and center. The beakfast was ok but i stayed there in weekend so many guests in house.

I stayed at The Dalat Shelter for 2 nights. Had amazing time. My room was very clean and every facilities provided in my room was perfect. The best facility was the heater in the room which was much needed after the weather turned very colder in the evening. Friendly staff n they were there to me help me all the time. Only one thing disappointed me was when I asked the manager that I am interested to upgrade my room for which he said I need to pay extra 400K VND The next day another staff told me extra 200K VND I have to pay. This really pissed me off as the manager wanted to make extra bucks. So, I didn’t upgrade it. I would highly recommend this place for a couple and a family to live here. It’s worth it.

The good: great quality for reasonable price. Good breakfast, great view, beautiful and large room, great staff. The bad: Location. If you like to stay away from Da Lat city then it is a great choice. If you like to hang around the city for food, enjoy the architect of old house, palace inside then you won't like this location

the hotel is in the pine wood with perfect view in the green hills and mountains. The room is spaсy, the bed is comfortable. The only problrm was in the bathroom - all the water came out onto the floor and stayed for long time. I would recommend the hotel to get - 5$ more, but prepare good breakfast - breakfast of 2 eggs, bagett and very small piece of butter is not enough. And you do not have the possibility to eat somwhere around the nearest places to eat are 2km from the hotel. It was the only thing I did not like about the hotel.

My family went to Laan in heavily rainy day at night. We struggled to find the way to it because it locates deeply in the jungle (which is very good though) and there is no proper signs to navigate us (especially at the cross). It tooks us about 45 minutes to drive only 10km to get to Laan in the heavy rain. We called the staff but they didn't navigate us correctly because they didn't really know as well (??). When we arrived at 8pm, there is no one in resort. Literally no one. No staff, no guest, no receptionist, no janitor... I had to walk in the rain from place to place to find someone to greet us. I was unable to call them because there was no mobile phone signal. At the end, there was one guy called himself receptionist (but I doubt that he is the owner or someone else) guiding us to our room with little guidance, little help. No mobile signal because the resort is in the valley, even no phone in the room, then we had no way to contact staff if needed. Finally we slept in frustration. The resort is actually really great with landscape, design and nature. The price is entirely reasonable with facilities. It is great place to hide away to enjoy nature. But staff was really bad.

It was amazing. One of the best boutique hotels I've ever stayed in. The architecture and ambience were super nice. Wooden furniture and decoration warmed our stay up to the max. Grand piano was to welcome everyone to play, and when we did, we got cheered up by guests and staff. The garden and backyard were also a plus, with BBQ kit of course. And when we woke up late in the morning and the breakfast time was over, they still kept 2 pax of yummy MI VIT TIEM (duck noodle) for us. And homemade yogurt all the time. I got 4 of them. Really felt like home. Each room has a distinctive design. And no TV. With big wooden bathtub. And speakers for you to plug in your music player. 2 beautiful spaces / rooms for groups to hang out. Highly recommended.

The location is far from the city around 30 mins for walking but if you take the taxi, it’ll be 10 mins. All stuffs are very kind and friendly. They can speak English well. They gave me the valuable information like where to book the bus tickets. More and more importantly, they gave me free beer coupons at Yolo coffee and bar. Keeping it up with the free beer!

Price: A bargain for what you get Location: Depending what you're looking for, it's 5mins away by motorbike to the night market / the centre of the city. There are plenty of coffee shops, cafe & Street restaurants within walking distance too. Cleanliness: Nice big clean rooms Staff: Super friendly & helpful & they make you feel at home Facilities: They help you with renting out a bike, book buses / taxi etc. They can provide a western style breakfast for you at request (their homemade strawberry jam is delicious). You get a really good view of the Da Lat City from the bedrooms & from the top floor balcony where you can have breakfast. We loved it here, so picturesque and peaceful. It makes you feel you're away from everything. This has been our favourite accommodation in Vietnam so far. They also have a cute & playful 5 months old puppy named Robin. Who we loved & greatly miss. We definitely will stay here again if we come back to Da Lat. The whole experience has been the highlight of our trip so far.

We have to take another cab to find this hotel. We booked this hotel due to the elevator, so that my mum who has bad leg can avoid climbing the stairs, end up there are still a few flight of stairs to reach the elevator. It is next to karaoke, which operate til late. We slept well after a while day of exploring so it didn't bother us too much, but not for light sleeper. The room is clean and basic, fit our needs. Staff do not speak English at all, pls use translating application to communicate.

Languid staff with poor & unwelcome services, cursory reception, except the owner & security are very warmly welcome. Quite place located on bad approached road. Backpacker should try, family should consider.

Even although building the resort is still in progress I really loved staying here over Christmas, it was a Wonderful experience right enough. The setting beside the lake in the mountains is stunning. The staff were first class & so friendly. The Christmas Dinner was really good & well worth the 500k VND charge which included half a bottle of red wine. Before dinner on Christmas Eve a group of carol singers entertained the guests & they were fantastic & set the feeling for the night. All in all even although the resort is new & work on going it was a great holiday & when this resort is finished it will be the best resort on Tuyen Lam lake I think & great value for money.

Pro’s: Situated by the cable car on a hill. Lovely villa. Large, nicely decorated rooms, good power shower. Located between two lakes so it’s easy to get about as not much is around the hotel. Con’s: Barking dogs close by and because the villa is on a corner up a hill, the honking of buses and lorries was insane. You could also hear a pin drop in the villa, any noise just resonated throughout the rooms. Hard mattress. And a really sorry state of affairs for breakfast. Just a plain, oily omelette, bread and VN coffee. My partner doesn’t eat eggs!! Would still recommend it though, when it was quiet, it was lovely. Some nice views from the main balcony.
