stunning, screne, beautiful & private retreat. ”
Spectacular resort with all the perks for high end luxury and service. This place is where you would expect to see a review in "world of interiors", from the outdoor shower and solid marble bath to the designer bedside table lamps, soft drapery from floor to ceiling, comfortable king size bed with a modern comfortable lounge and vintage tribal artwork on the walls. That's just the rooms, then surroundings are just spectacular. Villa hoa su was highlight of our stay in Vietnam! Staff where amazing, extremely helpful, always smiling, very accommodating and chatty. Breakfast is freshly made for you, which is nice and is served to you on a Vietnamese pergola surrounded by a moat filled with coy fish. Connecting to an infinity pool surrounded by coconut, and frangipani trees. Set in a really private location, which is great for that retreat/resort/reclusive experience which can be hard to find and slightly frustrating at night riding a moped. Ironically it was an adventure to find ourselves completely lost in the middle of a coconut tree jungle. One phone call to the manage and we where back at the resort. I would suggest more signage, that can be lit up or made bigger to see at night. But needless to say we loved our time there.

An oasis!”
We spent 2 nights at Villa Hoa Su and loved it. Last visit I had stayed at the Ha An hotel and loved it too, but Villa Hoa Su offered an even more beautiful setting and modern rooms. One note - our taxi from the airport had a really hard time finding the villa. I recommend bringing a map or detailed directions. It is very hard to find for taxi drivers not from Hoi An. We loved the outdoor shower, but didn't get a chance to try the outdoor bath due to the rain. I highly recommend VIlla Hoa Su to anyone looking to relax and enjoy the serenity it offers. It is about a 10 minute ....or a nice bike ride. A nice happy medium between the beach and town. We will definitely recommend Villa Hoa Su to all our friends. Thanks for a lovely stay Chau!

Paradise!”
villa hoa su is a tiny resort set away from the bustle of the tourist resorts. only 5 villas set in the midst of a frangipani garden complete with coi ponds and gardens. each unit boasts a private, outdoor rainshower and stone tub. the staff, especially tu' (sp?), were attentive and accomodating without hovering. the pool and pool pavillion are serene and the most spectacular beaches are just minutes away by free bicycle loan. a quick cheap cab ride to hoi an old town makes everything accessible. oh, and the breakfast is to die for.

Magical garden retreat”
Villa Hoa Su had to be one of the most memorable stays of our entire two week trip to Vietnam and Cambodia. It is the quintessential garden hotel—filled with beautiful plants, trees and a koi pond swimming with fish. From the moment we walked in, we knew we’d found paradise. The staff was so accommodating and kind; they made us feel right at home. There are only five units here, so you feel like you’re staying in your own luxury private villa in the middle of a botanical garden. You even get your own private outdoor shower and tub (in addition to the inside one). They also have good food and very reaosnably priced bottles of wine—so upon arrival, we immediately ordered a bottle of champagne to unwind by the pool. Afterward, we grabbed the free bikes and rode to the beach, which is easily accessible from the hotel. The location is ideally situated between the beach and the charming town of Hoi An, which has amazing food and which is the THE place to get a suit tailored in Vietnam. I got 3 made in less than 30 hours (complete with multiple fittings for each!). While days of beach, shopping, cooking, and site seeing, are amazing, the real magic is waking up each morning at the Villa Hou Su.

Boutique Accommodation - Romantic Garden Setting”
The rooms are based on the Nam Hai resort for 10% of the cost. Located in a rural setting 2km from town on the way to the coast. Mr Bon was able to call a taxi on request with everyone arriving within 2 minutes and costing a maximum of $2.50 into the town centre. The best of both worlds - conveninet to the historic heart of Hoi An and set in a tranquil rural envronment. Check out You Tube for a guided tour around Villa Hoa Su Frangipani Villa.

Tranquil Top notch Boutique Resort Oasis”
We had the pleasure of staying 3 nights at Villa Hoa Su. The first day our taxi dropped us on the main road and told us to walk down an alley to find the resort. The alley was very dodgy looking and we had to walk quite a long distance to find it. However, we were greeted by and a beautiful oasis. This is truly something special. If you want somewhere memorable and unique to stay in Hoi An, this is it.

Amazing hideaway with fantastic friendly staff”
We flew into Danang, and were picked up by the driver requested with/arranged by the resort. Saved the hassle of finding a taxi and having to direct them to a place we didn't know. Upon arrival, the on-site staff we out in a flash to welcome us in and our bags were in our rooms before we were! Breakfast is included and served on-site, however, you'll need to venture out to the town for your other meals - the only knock on this place, if you're hoping to hide away in your room and be a hermit! The staff are always happy to call you a taxi to take you to Hoian town which is just over 2kms away. Great town with amazing food and endless shops. We are so fortunate to have been able to stay at Villa Hoa Su. I really can't speak highly enough of the staff, the facilities and the fantastic location. With only 5 villas available, this secret is quickly become reknowned, so you'll need to book in advance to ensure your stay!

Simply incredible hidden treasure.”
This hotel is admittedly a rip-off of the famed Nam Hai. However, a couple's room at the Nam Hai will set you back $750, whereas this will cost you exactly a tenth. There are about 7 rooms, or "villas", all of which have minimalist interiors and an amazing romantic outdoor shower and tub option. The beauty of the small, secluded place is not for everyone. There are few employees, so don't expect to call housekeeping for anything. You get two towels and one piece of soap. No extra sheets...no nothing. Just an beautiful pool (surrounded by a million koi), room, and nice manager that'll cook you breakfast himself. It's also VERY secluded, few taxis know it, and most will make you walk a half a kilometer since the path is narrow. A long bike-ride from old town, but cery scenic. If I could stay at the Nam Hai for $75...I'd still choose Hoa Su instead. It's just more my style.

Like staying with friends”
Staying at Villa Hoa Su was the high light of our visit to Vietnam. With only five rooms set in a beautifully landscaped garden, it felt more like a home than a hotel. Being located 1/2 way between the beach and the centre of HoiAn, in a quiet area next to a river was perfect a short taxi ride or bike ride will take you anywhere you want. The friendly staff and well appointed rooms and great food all added to the experience. I was most impressed with the effort that had been put into the detail of the buildings and facilities: beatifully carved lintels, old lamps, the stunning water garden around the central pavillion all created an environment of calm and beauty.

Perfect retreat”
my wife and i spent 2 nights at villa hoa su. it is a fantastic value place to stay. surroundings as beautiful as this would usually cost at least double the price. this small hotel is situated in a pretty little hamlet on the outskirts of hoi an - it's only a five minute motorbike ride into town.

PARADISE HOTEL!”
I really should not be doing this, sharing my experience about Villa Hoa Su. I want to keep this for myself...my little secret. This has been the BEST hotel ever! Villa HS is so beautiful and the staff is very friendly and great. I can just live here for years and do nothing. Taking a bike to the beach, Chill at the Villa, have a drink in Hoi An....just love it! The 5 rooms are beautiful, breakfast is simple, just a great spot to recharge your battery. Very romantic also.

Absolutely loved our stay at Villa Hoa Su”
this hotel would be more accurately described as a bed and breakfast (or guest house in other countries), that just happens to be magnificent in its beauty and architecture. so as a bed and breakfast you can expect bed and breakfast service. its family run and where there might be some occasional english difficulties with staff other than the manager mr bond, it makes up for with a warm and friendly relationship. unlike other hotels or resorts in vietnam mr bond and staff are happy to recommend places to eat, how to travel around and any requests you might have for the best deal (be that cheap or convenient, always hard to get both those things in a developing country, lets be realistic) for you, not for them. they are not out to sell sell sell to you like so many of the other places you will find in vietnam, but instead offer you something that is very difficult to find if you don’t speak the language... getting to know a local family and its town intimately. we did vietnam travelling at the $30 hotel rates from saigon to hanoi and this was our “respite” stop in between. but i didn’t want to stay at a resort where you still don’t get to know the country or can’t ask the hotel staff where to eat without them saying “here...at the hotel”. i didn’t want a “western” experience, with people wearing white gloves serving my spoilt developed world needs, while travelling this unique and historical and quite literally developing country.... but i did know that by the time we got to hoi an i would be craving a few luxuries... this hotel was the perfect combination for me........ due to word restrictions, please see the rest of my review over at trip advisor: http://www.tripadvisor.com/showuserreviews-g298082-d1477730-r93287051-villa_hoa_su-hoi_an.html

Tranquil retreat at gorgeous Hoa Su”
I booked a room for me and 2 friends for a yoga practice weekend. The staff were incredibly helpful, and let friends join us in the beautiful gardens by the pool. The location is great, outside the noise and hustle of central Hoi An but close enough to cycle easily. The rooms are gorgeous and the outside shower and bathtub are something special. The pool is a welcome treat in the Vietnamese heat. There is a very lovely aesthetic at Hoa Su, and it feels like a real luxury retreat. The staff couldn't have been nicer - even fetching us fresh coconut while we lazed in the pool after a strenuous yoga practice! I've already booked again - this time for a family break for 6 of us.

Amazing Resort Style hotel”
We travelled with another couple, and all absolutely loved the villa hoa su. The location is great halfway between the beach and the old town, very quiet set within the village, once you enter the gates you forget where you are and justrelax withing the stunning gardens. Then rooms are very moderns style with traditional finishings, and a great outdoor bath and shower. I would definatley recommend staying here and hope to visit again oneday.

Beautiful setting and friendly staff”
Had a great time at Villa Hoa Su.. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Location is ideal, just out of the centre and away from busy streets, but a nice walk into town. Facilities are amazing. Will definitely stay there next time I'm in Hoi An. My father also left his wedding ring behind. Staff have kept it for him and been very helpful.

Beautiful Villa and Amazing Hosts”
We really loved staying at Villa Hoa Su. The place itself is very beautiful and dripping with charm. The room is huge with a big confortable bed, and a really nice soaker tub in a private garden. The hosts some of the most hospitable, genuine and friendly people we've met in Vietnam. We had breakfasts and dinner here one night and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend the villa.

Very peaceful and beautifully landscaped gardens!!”
loved our stay at villa hoa su. it felt like being on a spiritual retreat, all calming and peaceful. the lush vegetation and water features gave the place so much character. breakfast is in the wooden structure in the middle of the small lake. the french baguettes at breakfast were so delicious that we had to have seconds. the choice of vietnamese or english breakfast added variety. mr bond was very helpful and organised taxis when required and a driver for two of our outings. genuinely good service!! the outdoor shower is a must. the pool was very refreshing after a day’s walk through hoi ann. the supply of hot water is limited and we had to race through the shower late in the evening. this particular problem did not seem to be an issue during the day. the indoor bathroom had a sewage smell, which was off putting. the sofa had some stains that marred the beautiful decor of the room.

I still love it”
This was my second time at Hoa Su and I'm glad to have returned. It's been a year since my last stay, and I do agree with other reviewers that the rooms are showing some wear. But it is still such a peaceful location with the gardens, ponds and pool. I especially love the outdoor shower/bath(although the stones do hurt my feet a bit--very minor issue). The staff are so friendly and attentive. My partner was ill and they were very helpful. I love the private location. Staff can call taxi easily or you can ride a push bike into town or to the beach.
