Nice boutique resort overlooking the Gulf of Thailand”
Very nice, comfy, boutique hotel with nine bungalows. The bed was extremely comfortable (rare for Thailand) and the cleanliness level was 10++. Room has an small refrigerator, hot water kettle and instant coffee replenished daily. The staff was very attentive and the facilities are well maintained. They have a beautiful pool for guests to enjoy. I never had the breakfast so I cannot comment on that. I highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting the Chantaburi area.

Excellent”
The resort was pretty good. The pros: very friendly staff, beautiful sea view, extremely clean rooms and a massive bathroom with amazing water pressure and temperature, strong wifi in the room, good basic breakfast, a few nice restaurants nearby, 7-11 next door. The cons: no sunset view (which is only a 5min drive away on the next beach, so not a big deal), restaurant only open at breakfast so the property photos leave a different impression, but restaurant and bar are actually not listed in the description, so the photos are a bit misleading and in the evening the only place you can spend time at the resort is the pool or your room, there are even no chairs by the water to enjoy the view, so I put a beach towel down on the concrete. No mattresses on the sunbeds, although hotel photos show mattresses on sunbeds, so sunbathing was pretty uncomfortable (they did bring us a towel to put on the sunbed to add an extra layer n top of my own towel). A short drive north is a bigger beach with many different restaurants and resorts with great bars and a sandy beach, but value for money for the location this place is great and I would stay there again.

Cons. quiet room, hotel area is not big. good private zone Cons breakfast is served one dish plate, isn't buffet. not have beach. The beach cannot swim.

Lovely and peaceful”
Located close to the famous blue temple, not far from other attractions. The resort is at a shore without beach but we can still enjoy a lovely swimming pool. There are only a few bungalows in the resort, so it has quiet and private atmosphere. Staffs were friendly and serviced well.

Nice small resort with friendly staff”
We stayed here at Villa Phra Chan Resort for 2 nights, which gave us time to visit the near by attractions - Oasis Marine Park and local seafood restaurants. The beach in front of the resort is not too good and not suitable for swimming. Thankfully the resort has a nice pool with kids pool.

Beach front location with wonderful staff”
The taxi had a bit of trouble finding the Villas (~25km from Chanthaburi)but the staff had stayed up waiting for us at 11pm to make sure we were settled in properly. The following day the manager had trouble finding a van to show us the sights - so her husband and English speaking workman drove us around all day showing us the highlights - we had a ball. The villas were extremely nice - right on the beach front with fishermen, shell collectors and cockle collectors working in front of the breakfast area each morning. Dinner was at the neighbouring hotel - just next door. Breakfast consisted of "American" or Thai.

Lovely hotel and service with a smile”
there were 6 people in our group and everyone had enjoyed the time aqt villa phra chan. though there's not 'beach' but with the lovely pool, none of us minded that. there's a sense of peace and privacy which was what we all were looking for. my sis and her husband decided to stay on another night!

Homely, relaxing resort”
Very nice hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful, but unobtrusive. The resort is nicely laid out, with around 9 bungalow style villas. The villas are modern, but minimalist design. Modern rustic bathroom, comfortable beds, reasonable sele tion of tv channels, and DVD player in each room. Nice, quiet swimming pool. Only downside is beach in front of hotel is not very clean, so it's not ideal for swimming. It's ok for walks though. There are nice beaches within 5-10km of this resort. The resort next door is sea coco, which is similar, perhaps slightly nicer. A few good sea food restaurants located nearby. It's somewhat isolated here, so you need your own transport either car or motor bike. But the scenery around this area is quite stunning, it's not a touristic location, more local Thai style. If you look for relaxing peace and quiet, then this is the place!

Valuable to return again”
A small working desk was provided immediately after I suggested to use a notebook PC in the bungalow, even without my request. I did find often such ways of various inconspicuous or not bald manner of hospitality which were very favorable to me. I enjoyed very much my laziest stay there for 3 nights;reading books and napping on a sofa beside the entrance of bungalow, driving to east (to Laem Sing Beach, Chanthaburi) and to west (Mae Pim Beach, Klaeng, Rayong) .

A small boutique resort but great service ”
first of all upon arrival we had a good news the resort upgraded us to beach front room without expenses. the room condition was clean and new. the service from staffs was remarkable, useful and share many good information about where to dine, visit, outside activity etc. during we stay it was raining a bit sea condition was rough but it was not a problem. smimming pool is amall but good enogh to relax. this resort is good for traveller, couple who is looking for real quiet place to relax and spend time together

Boutique Hotel with beautiful garden”
nice reception and caring staff. very quiet surrounding. the hotel has a very beautiful and well maintained garden and a small and clean swimming pool (without chemicals as in so many places in Thailand). There are some good local restaurants within 1 km (Baan Taa, Ruen Rimnam). The only disadvantages are no sand beach access and the very slow internet The hotel lies at a scenic route from Laem Singh Chanthaburi to Baan Phe Rayong, with many interesting spots like mangrove forest, temples, monuments, scenic viewpoints etc.

Clean and new resort with calming view”
The resort is very small with nine bungalows but it has good size of swimming pool to cool down and has wondful ocean view as it is directly located on beach and five bungalows have ocean view. They don't have restaurant but they will happily order meals for you to neaby restaurants and provide dishes and deliver to your room, so it was good as room service. The breakfast was better even, good coffee ( normally hotel coffee is burnt and bitter in Thailand but their coffee was okay to drink ) and American breakfast with toast, jam, ham and eggs plus rice soup. Real orange Juice and water as well as mixed fruit platter at the end. All severed individually on your table. It is pity that there is a duck farm right next to the resort and you cannot see the ducks but you smell them during the hot day. It is quite unpleasant. Also water quality in this area is not swimmable so if you want to enjoy ocean, seek different area. We wanted to get away and chill out for one day at a quiet place and this suited nicely.

we stayed for 2 days with villa sea view, the villa is very clean and comfortable with free wifi especially there is a sofa that you can sit and look at the sea or read your book. There is only 9 villa in the resort so it is very quiet and privacy. Staff is very helpful and always smile.

Quiet, small resort ”
Beachfront-Villa below 2000B/night has been a bargain I couldn't resist. Was very happy about it, fits my needs perfectly. Clean rooms and quiet atmosphere. Surprisingly low occupancy even at peak season (weekends probably busier). Be prepared that there isn't any sandy beach or swimming pleasure in the ocean. But there's a pool and 6 chairs as a compensation. Could get crowded at peak times though. Remote area, I'd recommend own car for independence.

4 day stay”
The bungalows are very nice and so to are the staff. The location is the wrong area of Chao Lao beech, the restaurant wasn't open at the hotel and you need to drive around the mountain road where there are restaurants and shops in the other part of Chao Lao, however there is one very good fish restaurant about 3km in the other direction, doesn't open on Mondays.

Beautiful Beach House on a Lovely Quiet Beach”
We stayed for 2 nights at this nice beach house type room. The room itself was spotlessly clean, and the furniture was that of a 4 or 5 star hotel. The staff were friendly and spoke good English, even offering an English language menu. The swiiming pool was lovely and sheltered with parasols so at any time of the day you could take a dip under cover form the sun if you want.

Wonderful accommodation but transport is essential ”
Lovely accommodation and facilities but resort does not have a restaurant for evening meals only breakfast. Only one restaurant within walking distance that's open until 9pm. Also it's not on a beach but does have a beautiful pool.
