Cozy ,convenient and strategically located”
we were having a great challenge in finding the most strategic place to stay and convenient to us since most of the places are not available at that moment. our meeting will be held at puteri pan pacific at 3 pm and we have to be at grand straits view restsurant, danga bay at 7.30pm. fortunately my friend suggested this place which i have not heard about it before. since we do not have any choice, i proceed with the booking n travel down to johor bahru. with a great and unique design, the place is really amazing. appropriate size of bedroom and pool. wood scent all over the place would bring you to javanese or balinese environment. a very good customer service, helpful and courteous. great breakfast food selection. strategically located to city centre whereby walking is posibble to enjoy the johor city especially at night. whether it is a business or a family vacation trip, i'll surely come back n stay at this place coz the calmness of the place, eyes n mind relaxing environment is what you'll never experience in other normal hotel in johor bahru city centre.

Great Boutique Hotel With Classic Javanese Design”
We greatly enjoyed our stay at Villa Warisan and had a wonderful experience exploring the grounds and appreciating the Javanese design of the complex. While the Villa Warisan is clearly a "work in progress" given the on-going construction to expand the facilities, we were intrigued to observe the skilled workers installing the intricate wood carvings that make Villa Warisan so special.

In awe with the Javanese concept...”
It was an impromptu decision to stay at the Villa Warisan as it's the nearest hotel available at that time. We were so impressed by the exterior and interior of this lodging that the first thing we did was to take pictures as it's getting dark. We love the room, the simplicity and humility of Taufan the keeper and also that cute indoor swimming pool which we can view from the top..that's pretty cool... :)..the only problem was the Mosquitos ...I hope something can be done about it because otherwise this is such a beautiful place to stay. I will definitely recommend friends and family to stay or even have events here. Hope you will do much better in the future and have a full on restaurant too!! :D thank you for a unique and beautiful experience... :)

Beautiful decor, tricky location”
The hotel is beautiful, no other way to describe it. The staff is amazing at all time they made us feel welcome and willing to help out, they know the best places to get real local delicious food away from tourist traps, so ask them out. It is a bit tricky to get there, even some cab drivers might not know the exact street location, so use a landmark reference. Some things that you might want to consider: -As I said, location even that is less than 5 min from the cross way/city square, some cab drivers might not recognise the street name so here are 3 references: - Holy Light Church - St Joseph Primary - Bukit Tinggi school -(mosque nearby but don't now the name) -Is three houses away from a mosque (it does not appear in google maps), so the first prayer time might be a surprise wake up alarm for all us non muslims. ( For us was around 5:30 am since it should around 10–15 minutes before sunrise, and we checked in late the night before). -Shoes not to be used inside the "house". Carry them to your room. -If need towels for the pool ask front desk before hand, if you take the ones provided in the room they charge 10 rmp for a new set. -Roosters in the nearby house area nice surprise. -North west window rooms have a beautiful no buildings in sight view. I'm sure this would be a great place to stay for a relaxing weekend, maybe in the suite the bed is supposed to be rock hard or was just that room. The only thing that makes me double think staying there again: is the bed / mattress, was rock hard we did not have a good night sleep at all, if it had not been for the kindness of staff and hotel beauty we would have walked out. Visit this hotel, is a welcome sight that will make you feel as if this was a far away veranda. (by pass the hard bed.)

Relax, homely feeling away from home”
It was a very last minute decision as we were undecisive on whether to go home and stay another night in JB. Surf through and stumble upon this hotel. Give it a shot and booked through Agoda. Arrived about an hour after successfully booked and are pleased to find that our room are ready and we are able to checked in immediately. Upon driving in, we felt somewhat like totally in a different zone just minutes away from the busy road. The place was beautifully wooden crafted. Those who loves woody furnitures and that village kind of atmosphere will love this place. No footwears are allowed in the premises and meals are prepared and served on a big dining table giving that homely feeling. The rooms are big and spacious and the door on each room gives you the feeling of entering a Sultan bedroom. This villa is totally a place for pure relaxation with basically nothing to do. The swimming pool is small though and looks like a Koi pond. So you just dip in and relax. I think a spa or a simple massage service will make this Villa a more complete place for relaxation.

Lovely decorated hotel”
We came to JB for shopping and stayed at villa warisan 2 nights. The hotel is beautifully decorated with fine wood carving from Java. The staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. There was a malay wedding at the same time, we were invited to try the food and see the celebration. A great stay in boring JB!

great value for money”
Like some of thr other reviews, the hotel might be a little hard to find, both by foot or by car (you need to know where it is, to find it) and the location on googlemaps points you to a school about 400m awayrather than the hotel itself.. other than that, the fact that it's so isolated, makes it a quiet place away from the nearby bazaar (abt 10mims walk) or shopping malls. Big rooms too, but housekeeping could be a little more attentive, like dusting the top of shelves etc.. Also, lots of the woodpieces seem handcarved, so do expect doors to creak and some dont quite fit very well. It"s a small inconvenience, really, given the amazing hospitality by the staff.

Lovely wood carving”
Great location, nice architecture, beautiful wooden crafted furniture, friendly staff and superb breakfast. Sadly this villa is not well maintained. Lots of broken items in the room. Pool is a bit dirty. Hand soap & toilet papers was not provided. Not sure whether i was the only one who was not been given all these.

Nice retreat from the city”
The hotel is not easy to find as it is a boutique hotel within the residential area and there is no signboard to identify the hotel. Suggested to the hotel for signages to be placed at appropriate areas to guide travelers to the place. If you'd like some peace away from the city, this is the place. Overall a good and relaxing stay. Will come back again.

That Balinese Feel”
theres nothing you can do in the hotel except to swim in the small pool. they provide free shuttle to town. main kitchen was not ready but they still cater to our supper as we checked in late. the view outside was a rundown kampung image, which we do not mind. but at night it was overall quiet n lovely. the whole building itself would get you dreamy as if u were in bali! would be good to have a much more variety of food.

Beautiful hotel limited facilities”
This boutique homestay hotel comes across as warm and friendly. The decor is a mix between local Malaysian, javanese and Indian. There is a small swimming pool, a cafe which is only open for breakfast (or special occasions), and the room we stayed in was big and comfortable. However, they have a duvet but no duvet covers! That could be a hygiene issue. Getting to the hotel can be a challenge. If you follow the map and turn left from the flyover, you will find that the hotel is actually on the other side of the road and there's no way to get to it. What I did was to turn off at the next left along the highway, and double back towards the Caltex station which indicates the slip road leading to the hotel.

A Gem in the City”
We stayed a night, booking two rooms for 5 pax. The architecture was superb and a lot of effort was put in to build the place. Everything was good coz it has to go with the concept of the hotel. Woody, dark and rustic. Mosquitoes is a problem, so bring repellent. Water pressure is low. Room was spacious and bed was huge, good for 3 adults. Even the pillows were filled with "kekabu". A typical Malay/Javanese home. Swimming pool was underneath the hotel and it was rather small. Breakfast was simple, either a plate of nasi lemak, lontong or lontong kering with coffee and tea. No buffett spread or whatsoever. The staff named Topan was helpful and will assist you whatever he can. The place is quite and can be complicated to find, Apps might fail you. It is located about 200m behind Double Tree Hilton. Overall, we enjoyed the stay, the peacefulness and the experiences that you can never get staying in a concrete hotel. I recommend this hotel for those who are looking for a difference.
