Decent facilities 1km+ away from al-Haram (King Abdul Aziz Gate)”
If you don't mind the 8-10 minute walk with a slight incline over the last couple of hundred meters, it's a decent option in a good budget. Rooms are *almost* always available, so you may get a better deal at the property than booking online. Staff were extremely pleasant, cooperative, and helpful. They happily let us check-out late in the afternoon. They have an open WiFi network which mostly works fine but sometimes acts up. Bathroom was tiny but with all the usual facilities like hot water, shampoo, towels, etc. Beds were soft and comfortable (we got 3 beds instead of 2). Having a small wash basin and two electric cooktops in addition to the electric kettle (which sadly didn't work except once) in the room was a pleasant surprise. We didn't ask for a replacement because we had our own. We asked for the Aircon remote and they promptly came up with it in a few minutes. Personally, we didn't mind the walk twice a day. If you see yourself spending most time in haram, go for wahet Al deafah without worrying much. P.S. they don't have a shuttle. And the taxis are available mostly nearer to haram on the same road.

Distance ”
Distance to the hotel is not as mentioned. It’s more than 700m. It’s a steep walk towards the hotel. Not for those with wheelchair. All the lifts are usually too crowded. However overall for the price it’s worth it if healthy and on budget.

Terrible experience, poor hospitality ”
Pre booking in this hotel means nothing, even if you paid in advance, you still have to stay in line. We had to wait almost a hour to get the keys. And the manager treated us very badly. I will never recommend this place to anyone

Pleasant stay”
The hotel is a value for money hotel.Located from Ajyad side of the Holy mosque towards King Abdul Aziz Door. It is about 10 minutes walk from the mosque. The hotel is clean. There is a gentleman Mr.Ahmed at the reception from Egypt. Smiling and help you in everything. He has good knowledge about the online booking systems. He was aware i extended my stay as soon as i told him my name. The house keeping staff are nice and provide u daily with amenities like tissues, soaps and towels. If without children the location is good, I had an infant to carry so was a bit difficult to carry the baby as road is little steep to the hotel. The hotel is recommended. Also Mr.Ahmed is very cooperative for late check out or early check in and helpful. Good luck

AWFUL DISGUSTING HORRIBLE STAFF BUT VERY GOOD HOTEL”
Stayed @ this hotel for 11 nights with family of 5, having 2 rooms during December Christmas holidays. Arriving at night after long journey with children + elderly mother and a wife who had just had a miscarriage with 8 pieces of big heavy luggage, AWFUL AWFUL STAFF would not even help us bring the luggage in to the hotel, despite standing + staring at a young child + a women pull suitcases in to the lobby. Waiting around in the lobby DISGUSTING DISGUSTING STAFF with an absolute DIRTY ATTITUDE would not even look at us. After my wife kept asking that we have 2 rooms booked + realising we were from England there attitude changed and we were given our 2 rooms. Despite HORRIBLE STAFF who have no mercy this hotel is very decent in terms of how much money you pay compared to other hotels around Haram. Brilliant WIFI even in your rooms.10 mins walk to Haram which is not too bad for what you pay, adhan can also be heard in yr room.Lifts can be absolute nightmare especially around salah times.

Good location yet disappointing in appurtenant services ”
Well I was disappointed by the hotel in different aspect. For instance, the staff was not cooperating at all. I recall that I asked the reception for a prayer mat and in return he retorted that I should go and buy myself a mat!!! Rude isn't it. A side from that, the buttons in the hotel elevators are malfunctioned and I remember there were about two elevators that I frequently used where I had to go one floor below my desired floor and complete the rest of the way via the stairs. Now, the hotel is not at all in term of its proximity to the holy mosque. It takes about 10 minutes to reach the Holy mosque. Furthermore, if you are seeking a hotel where all shopping facilities are quite in hand, this would be a convenient choice.

Convenient for those who are just seeking a place for preserving luggage ”
The hotel was crowded and quite appalling in term of receptionist attitude, for instance I asked for prayer mat and the receptionist retorted that I should've fetch on my own! The elevators were not functioning properly and one or two as I remember is not in a working condition. The only benefit is that I did earn from staying in this hotel is that I found a place to preserve my belongings and have a shower after performing Umrah.

Above average”
The location is not too far and yet not too close about 15-20 minutes walking distance and need to walk uphill from Haram not suitable for older people. The lift were too slow need to wait about 15 minutes to reach our room. The good thing is they provide small kitchen in the room with kitchen hob.

Worst hotel stay in my life ( this is not 3 star only 0 star bechelor hostel )”
Following are the problems: No house keeping (I stayed 4 nights no single day house keeping carried out even I requested many times) Washrooms are dirty and very very smal. Hotel it self very dirty and no HVAC. Staff can't speak English. Only one Egyptian gye who can speek and also little bit co operative. On help line only Arabic staff if you start with English they will close the phone. Inside the room there was one split Ac without remote (we requested for remote also but not provided), and roof fan ( same like hostels). No room make up you have to buy shampoo, sabon, water tea etc., there were too many problems I can't explain all, simply this hotel is not 3 star only 0 star families should not stay there because this is a bechelor hostel.
